Ok, Where to start, Don't let them scare you into spending more money then you need to on a product that won't last as long! Abs fittings are cheap and they litterally make different flanges for all kinds of different situations. I'm a Plumber, we don't install a w/c flange without knowing the finished height of a floor, if we don't know or can't get that info we will extend the pipe well above finished floor (cap it) and then buy a flange that fits into 3" pipe, therefore allowing us to cut the pipe down and install the flange after the floor has been installed. dont be worried that the pipe inside diameter will then be around 2.75"s because there probably isnt a w/c or bidet on the market today that has an inside diameter larger then 2.5"s.. however this product would be handy to raise a flange without the need of a plumber if you were doing a reno and the new floor will be higher then the old, I am just a little worried about that gasket though, it will dry out and crack eventually which will lead to damaged sub floor/leaks..

What if you always use a wax ring instead of the gasket with all types of flanges and not just the old lead ring type?

Will those screws work on solid carbide floors with nitride coating? Ha--Thanks for the video.

Can this product be used in conjunction with a Fernco wax less toilet seal (wax free alternative).
I wonder because it seems to narrow the inlet into the waste pipe and therefore wonder if a Fernco could fit into the pipe once this is installed.
I noticed "standard was ring without the plastic horn" was mentioned several times so I assume that is necessary due to the set rite making the it so narrow that waxless alternatives that insert into the waste pipe are precluded from use. Is that right.

Why is this preferred over toilet flange spacers?

for corroded flanges, can I just use the gasket instead of wax? what is the difference?

The wax, being more gelatinous, will form freely to all the nooks and crannies of a corroded flange whereas a gasket is more firm and requires a solid, flat plane to create a proper seal.

@Spencer Fogg Thanks for your response. I've just placed a standard sized wax ring under the gasket for good measure, and I guess that worked for my needs. Much appreciated.

You show using two gaskets. One on the flange and one on the yellow extender, yet the kit only comes with one gasket.

The second gasket shown is just a completed model he is demonstrating with. If you look you can see he pulls the whole thing up at once to show what it looks like

I poured an liquid epoxy floor on top of my old bathroom floor. The old flange is level with the old finish floor, not the new finish floor. I will put an extention on the toilet flange so that there is a good seal between the toilet and the flange. By the way, I would not reccomend epoxy floors. Lots of bubbles in the surface. Also, needed 8 gallons instead of seven tenths of a gallon. The square footage estimator from stone coat could ter tops is overly optimistic. Needs more epoxy than they say to use

Can you install over an existing wax ring in lieu of the gasket? The instructions on the back lead to believe you can

Useless garbage- the extender flange is bigger around than most flanges- I had to trim it to make it fit, there was really no easy way to cut the floor because it was porcelain and it just seemed like it was more of a hack trying to use this thing
