Since dr fetus literally teleports directly to bandage girl at the end of each level, the ability of tofu boy to alt through the space is not something unacceptable too. Well, it's not an exclusive thing for tofu boy, but he is the only entity, that requires these bugs for finishing the game.
My headcanon is Tofu Boy just kind of breaks up his body and stuffs it through the walls or throws the collective pieces since tofu is much easier to tear apart than meat.
It's probably beacause a lot of the levels are the same but with extra saws (which don't matter beacause of the alt glitch, and also sometimes add platforms to dodge the saws, so more alt glitch locations). Also, for some levels they make you go down instead of up, which is easier for tofu boy to do.
Tofu Boy has received allegations of not even being able to beat the tutorial of the game by himself and texting m¡n•rs on Twitter. - What a terrible PoS! Do not worry, the allegations are false. - Oh, I'm so sorry for being so prejudi- Tofu Boy actually *can* beat the tutorial by himself! - WHA-
i'd love to see someone mod the game or something to basically turn the alt glitch into a bit more of an intended feeling mechanic by letting you see what's going on while you're in the alt state
It happens because if they movex 1 pixel per frame, 50 fps would have a differenr speed than 60 fps. So each frame it moves you based on the time passed instead. This applies to things that move over time, and also for things that speed up or add velocity over time.
The weirdest part about this to me is that I very specifically recall the game having an FPS lock, so either not everything works through delta time or it's just arbitrarily there.
Your OG vid got me into meat boy. I was a huge fan of TBOI but never checked out any of his other stuff. I literally cant put the game down now. I have almost 50 hours on the game and I'm trying to achievement hunt and want to 100% the game (I will not be successful as I suck ass at all video games on a GOOD day) even though I never want to 100% games or explore post game content usually even for games I like. Cant stop playing this its so fun and feels so good to play and the cutscenes are so cute and funny and I just wanted to say thanks for convincing me to actually play it. I should probably get to all the other games in my backlog as well buuuuuuuuuut one more round of MB couldn't hurt could it?
@@godlyvex5543As someone who's gotten every achievement on steam, they're not bs in the slightest. Sure, they're insanely hard, but they rely on pure skill and dedication. If you're dedicated enough, you WILL be able to get these achievements, there is no element of rng holding you back.
@@h_the_great Not saying it's RNG, I'm saying it's unreasonable. The golden god achievement is extremely hard but you can expect someone to complete it within a reasonable amount of time. The deathless achievements inflate the playtime to a degree that makes it unreasonable. It doesn't really add anything to the game, it just arbitrarily says "actually, you have to play the same stuff for WAY longer before we consider you to have finished the game fully." Which doesn't make sense. Golden god makes sense as a completion badge, since it involves completing every completable thing. Completing worlds without dying is an arbitrary challenge that has no relevance in game and shouldn't be tied to completion. It's also anti-thematic, since the game is kinda based around the idea that trying again is quick and easy. Celeste is the other game to look at in this department, and I think you'll notice that while the game has golden strawberries, they are not required for full achievement completion. Because they are beyond the limit of what is possible for a player to complete in a reasonable time-frame. To be clear, I'm not saying these challenges are too hard and shouldn't exist, I think they're fine to have in the game. I'm saying they should not be counted when it comes to deciding what is 100% completion of a game. You will probably notice that meat boy and celeste 100% speedruns generally do not care about these deathless achievements. Ask yourself, why? They're the peak of player skill expression, which is supposedly the point of speedrunning. I'll tell you, it's because they aren't an interesting challenge for the vast majority of people. The difficulty is not the issue, it's the fact that replaying the same long stretch of content over and over hundreds of times until you do it perfectly is just not fun for most people, and again, is not reasonable to expect anyone to enjoy.

i know it was probably hyperbole but in case anyone was wondering that one missile launcher in 5-17 is not the fastest firing one in the game, as far as i'm aware, that title belongs to the missile launcher in 7-11
All characters have the abilities but only tofu requires them others can do it normal as well i mean the bad guy freezes time and tps to yoink bg at the end of levels I mean cool you can break the game even the worst can still complete it now so once more props
can you not alt with upwards momentum using a sliding state? could have sworn i saw this being done somewhere, it seems like a lot of levels could have easier solutions using this
Idk if this is even related But will you be playing the end is nigh? Id love to see the glitchs and skills needed for some of the challenges that game throws at you
Pretty disappointing to be honest. You hyped it up like you were going to be using skill and knowledge to get Tofu Boy through the levels, not... very basic glitches.
tofu boy so bad he needs the power of instant teleportation to even have a chance
He has that power tho
@@planky992 Everyone has that power. Not only him.

May not be exactly the same but check out the game "pause ahead" - it's very similar to what the alt state sliding looks like
@@jonastder4616 oh wow i just looked into it, that's really cool! thanks for the tip :)

The key's movement is probably included in this, it just keeps going the direction it was headed when you froze it or something.
If you run SMB with different FPS, you can get crazy interactions where you move through walls even without alt
The weirdest part about this to me is that I very specifically recall the game having an FPS lock, so either not everything works through delta time or it's just arbitrarily there.
What a crazy ass timing I've got to check on this channel again, loved the first video, didn't expect to see a sequel!

Just watched the first vid yesterday and happened to be lucky to see this when it dropped
Youre insane! You even created new glitches to beat levels!
Respect for doing this challenge. The intro was also very good, got me hooked.

21:31 thoughts on using the storage glitch to slide left in an alt state and then release+jump at just the right time to reach BG?
Unfortunately, storage only works when you spawn. Bandage girl is waaaaaay too far from the spawn point, you void out before reaching her.

Wait, is it possible to reintiate the alt glitch directly after ending it in any way? If so, 2-1 might be possible that way.

If you could do The End and Cotton Alley as Tofu Boy, I wonder what levels would be doable?
good question!
tofu boy casually disproving more allegations than the average minecraft youtuber
I wonder how many bandages (light/dark world) you could get with Tofu Boy?
good question, there are some bandages tofu boy definitely cannot get, so I haven't bothered to see how many he CAN get.
