I love to drink and cook. And ive done sausage and cabbage before but not with the added bellpeppers and apples and carrots. Definitely gotta try this.
Hey Neal! I am a proud, first time owner of a Camp Chef FTG600 and this was my very first recipe I made after following your seasoning video. This recipe turned out so good and I meal prep this recipe every week as part of my low carb lifestyle. I even kicked it up a notch with a crisp, tart Granny Smith apple and it complements so well with the sweet melody flavors of the veggies and sausages! Thank you for your continuing, amazing griddle recipes!
Glad I found this video. Making chicken cabbage this weekend and the addition of apples and carrots I never thought about. I too am watching carbs and sugars and losing weight. Congrats on the weight loss Neal.
Thank you once again. Made this tonight on the CampChef FTG. Used good old Garlic Sausage from Canadian Costco as they don't carry the sausage you suggested. As was the last recipe I tried here, It was yummy and enjoyed by all. Thanks again.
That looks great so I'm trying this. I do stir fry cabbage quite a bit and often use soy sauce. For the same reason pork and apples go together, I can see the apple, sausage, and veggies working magic here. That looks delicious. Right up my alley there.
@@beefvalve just literally ate it. Having early today so I can fast till tomorrow. Stewd cabbage, smoked turkey sausage caramelized onions and sauerkraut. Brown mustard
@@TheFlatTopKing Awesome, I'll be waiting for the vid! I do a brisket grilled cheese that comes out excellent. Once my season at work slows down, I'm hoping to have some stuff up!
Here’s an idea for you. It was a recipe of my Polish/Russian grandmother. Americanized it’s called “Pig’s in a blanket” but it needs to be kicked up a couple of knotches (to use your phrase). It’s 1 lb each 80/20 Hamburg, ground pork and mild sausage. It cooked with a sauce ? and rice mixture. Pare boil a medium size head of cabbage and peel off the leaves, chop up the inner tender leaves and mix into the sauce and rice mixture. Cut or slice of the vein’s of the cabbage leaves so a 2 tablespoons of mixture can be rapped into the leaves tucking in the sides. Baba (Russian for old woman) would put into a casserole with canned tomatoes and bake the crap out of them. I think YOU MIGHT find a way to dredge them somehow and griddle them (like the pickle video) and up the flavor. REMEMBER EVERYTHING IS ALREADY COOKED. This is an economical meal served with polish black bread an butter
@@TheFlatTopKing well, they were contemporaries of each other. Benjamin Franklin of course coming first and saying the phrase and then Johnny Appleseed came later and was appreciated for planting all those apple trees all over the country. So makes a bit of sense, doesn’t it. Thanks, Marsha & Mark
Congratulations Neil on your 59 pounds lost! How did you do it? Was it all low carb or how did you do it? I have about 35 or 40 pounds I would like to lose I’ve already lost 22 and now I’m kind of stuck where I’m at.
yeah low carb...i have gained 15 back and will try to take back after christmas...plus little things I learned to substitute if I liked the switch. LIke some turkey sausage is not bad...i can eat it and not miss the real thing. just little things...
Where'd you find that dome with the insulated handle and vent? I don't see it on Amazon.. but, may not know what to look for. BTW, are you on a Keto plan?
Not healthy when you are cooking fruits like apples down. That's simply pandering to your sweet tooth. This is close to a ketogenic stir fry I do but not quite. Thanks for filming though.

Another great recipe. Cabbage is one of my favorite foods ✌️

I like all the ingredients in this stir fry. And you put an apple in as well.
Apple a day keeps…..
@@TheFlatTopKing Ben Franklin coined the phrase that made Johnny Appleseed in the annuals of history!!!! Lol
@@kindolgentleman3109 did not know that. Is that true?

Nice job again. Next time you make this try grinding in some fresh nutmeg before serving, you can thank me later. :)

Beautiful meal. Was that pepper from a plant planted this year or older?
We planted them this year. Kinda like a cross between a green chili and a poblano.
I'm not above using a bag of shredded cole slaw cabbage for convenience.

It should be in my links listed below. Not really keto as much as low carb and way less junk food. Cut out the bad stuff and started eating healthy.
try this

It's a good idea but u cut everything up so big u can't have a bite of it all
You lost me at the broccoli, but overall looks great!
I understand just a way to incorporate some more veggies...had it the other night...it has been a while
