    Stock C8 has an even spacing around all 4 tires. They look good. Lowering will create an uneven spacing around the tires which cannot be considered as good looking.

    Hey great video. I did mine right along with you! I had some issues with the wires coming out.
    Then I didn't get it back in enough! It threw a suspension warning sign. Redid the wire and the message went away.
    Looks much better. Either way thanks! And I didn't have to bleed the lift.

    Do you need to do a 4 wheels alignment?

    Very good detailed instructions on how to complete this job! Much better than the video provided by Paragon Performance. Thank you for no BS background music. Two thumbs up 👍👍

    Not sure if you remember this or not but do you know if the mag ride wiring on top of the struts were the same on both sides?

    • @squirrelcagegarage
      @squirrelcagegarage  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes, the procedure is the same for both sides, just take note of how the wires came out so you can put them back the same way.

      @squirrelcagegarage thank you. The video was great even down to the way the hydraulic line angle....that was key. I missed that at 1st then after a bunch of fluid on my garage floor I remembered what you said....lol

    Great video, better than paragon. I installed the collars and lowering springs from paragon and now I have a service front lift error message. Any ideas? I plan to call paragon and see what they say.

    Probably a dumb question… are the lowering collars the only option to bring the front down? No coil overs on front?

    Hey brother, I hope you receive this, I can’t tell you how much you have helped me, I’m currently working on a wrecked car with straight tub, just 2 bent pillars ( about an inch down) anyways I’m sorry for rambling, but I’m building something very special, and could possibly use your help,
    I will go ahead and tell you here, and you decide…
    I currently have a 2022 stingray rolling chassis, and I’m sectioning almost 5” out of the whole body, so basically putting the fender wells close to the top of body, and widening it to 82” front-84” in rear, with custom suspension mods and spacers , the 20/21” wheels i have were given to me by a company, for the baseline build, if I can deliver, they will build me anything i can think of. And cut a check to finish it , engine transmission, everything..
    What I’m wondering, is if you know of anyone who has parts from wrecked cars for the edges and flanges, for factory mounting,
    I could use a front and rear bumper, don’t care how bad, but I have a hard time paying $600-800 for front fenders and $800-$1000 for bumpers and quarter panels, the right rear quarter is $267.
    So I plan on keeping everything inside factory, same with body, No weird stuff that doesn’t work just to call it wide..
    But if you by chance know of any one who may have damaged parts and willing to part with, i would be honored, and I will cover shipping, if you want to know more, please let me, thank again for the videos.. I have confidence I didn’t before.. ( the dash video was great ) take care and have a good one brother

    So I had it lowered. And had an issue where the rubber boot tore. So took to dealership. They said it was because it got twisted. So had them replace boot. Now I have issue where it says at times service front lift system. So they are bleeding it to see if that will fix that issue. Any thoughts on what might be Causing after replacing and repairing torn boot?

    • @squirrelcagegarage
      @squirrelcagegarage  Рік тому

      If the boot was twisted during install it probably was torn, if it was torn, then dirt and debris probably got into the lift cylinder itself possibly damaging it......just off the top of my head.

    The top hat nut is rusted onto the threads of the shock. I tried penetrating oil it still just spins and spins.
    Any ideas?

    • @squirrelcagegarage
      @squirrelcagegarage  Рік тому +2

      If you can't get it apart, lift the black boot and get to the thinner silver shaft part of the shock. Grip that with a rubber strap wrench while trying to "shock" (Short bursts) it loose with an impact gun.
