Great info. My '23 goes in for its first oil change next week. When I bought my car last summer, within the first 20 miles the trans started to malfunction. I took it to the dealer several times before they determined it needed a new trans. During those visits I chatted several times with the lot boy. He remarked how cool my car was and later went ape when I drove my '65 big block coupe in to check on the progress. Later I found out that this kid had been demoted from oil changer to gopher. In other words he demonstrated the "Peter Principle" which states that a person rises to his own level of incompetence, which in this case was performing an oil change. When I finally went in to pick up my newly-repaired car he drove it out and handed me the key, saying "Man your car really runs good," to which I replied, "You drove my car?" He said , "Yeh. I had to make sure the transmission was shifting right." God knows what this fool did.
I had my Zo 6 at the dealer. and the P. D. R. Was on from when I. took off from home until I got there and. then when he got in the car, it showed him going into the dealership shop to work on my car. But on the way back, he turned off my P. D. R. So he could take a little joyride. I guess. How can I keep the mechanic from turning off my PDR so I can keep a check on him.
I don’t know unless you add valet mode also. Valet requires a pin. I don’t know if valet mode inhibits the per mode from being disabled. Will need to try it out.
