Added the lowering collars (properly) on my '22 in the fall of 2022...started having issues with the front lift in 2023 and took it to the dealer. No warranty coverage for the car and now have to spend $1K to fix issue. I know of 2 other people with the same issue. Unfortunately, PP stated that it was a faulty install...I have no doubt I did it right!
I bought the lowering collars and I’m having trouble finding a shop to install them. Did you have to replace your front lift assembly? I’m not sure if I want to even install them now, let alone find someone willing to do it.
You guys have the best install videos. Makes me want to buy all my parts that I want from y’all when I’m able to and do all the work my self. Keep up the great job on all install videos.
After lowing the car only on a front collars and rear adjustments, do I need an alignment with a .75" lowered ht.? Also, how much negative cambr would this lowering cause? If so, would this mimic the track alignment without the toe adjustment?
I want to do this to mine, have you heard of any issues or concerns? i hear there is a bulletin out for dealers to look for these. However, i cant really see what issue these would cause.
Only issues we hear about are from improper installs or raising the car while it's on an angle. Any modification to any system will void that parts warranty. We believe GM made the bulletin after noticing many aftermarket solutions for lowering the front lift.
Miguel, you would need to lower the rear threaded collars to the max amount which is approximately 0.7" to match our Front Lift Lowering Collars. We will have a video uploaded today on how to adjust the rear threaded collars using our Paragon C8 Corvette Factory Z51 Coilover Wrench Set.
"Other" kits don't need to either, but they didn't dig into it enough to figure that out. GM uses the exact same bump stop on Z51 cars that do not have front lift as Z51 cars with front lift. So GM out of the factory is assuming those with Z51 cars that do not have front lift when they lower their car the allowed .75 inch on the factory coilovers they need bump stops that will work that way out of the gate for the car. So it's already done correctly from the factory. No need to cut the stops, just for collars. :)
You do not need to cut them just for lowering collars. All Z51 cars use the same bump stops whether they have front lift or not. So those Z51 cars that don't have front lift can lower their cars from the factory .75 inch also and not need to cut bump stops. Same applies for front lift cars since they use the same bump stop. Lowering .75 inch does not require the cutting.
When you watch your video you can see a piece of the cut bump stop. On the counter. Cicio performance says to cut it, your video looks like it is cut yet you say don’t cut it? Please confirm

@paragonperformance if you lower with the collar, shims and springs what’s the total drop 1.5 inches ??
1-3/8” but once it settles it will be about 1.5”
How much needs to be lowered in the rear to match the front rings. I couldn't find the video...installing in the next days...Thanks

The front lift still functions as normal. You're just lowering the car a inch in the front.

Can you make one for less? like 0.50 inch?
We do have a shim available that changes our collar from a 3/4" drop to a 3/8" drop. Just choose Add 3/8" Shim! There's no additional charge :)
