You and your locs are absolutely gorgeous!! I’ve been binge watching your videos like a Netflix series 😂. I just started my journey so I’m tryna feel my way around this. Your videos are very thorough and helpful!❤️
I love your video! I was definitely feeling like ugh this is going to be a long process, when I first interlocked my hair I just wanted it to start instantly growing. After a while I started to realize this journey is all about learning yourself & being patient, focusing on what’s current & bettering yourself. I’ve had my locs for 6 months so & I’m loving everything minute of it.
I get my locks retwist every four months my locks are looking good I get it all the time from others saying my locks look good. I don't use any products but water every day.
You and your locs are beautiful. Thank you for the tips, this was great! I'm on my second set of locs, loving this journey even more this time around!! :)
I have been doing my research before starting my loc journey and ur videos have really helped n inspire me so much... Thank you I am starting my loc’s tomorrow... Only using Tea Tree oil n water mixed in my water bottle, hair clips, comb, black castor oil n a little bit of eco styler with olive oil she’s butter black castor oil n flaxseed in it!!! Oh and a dryer... Wish me luck y’all.....
I just started practicing night care like a month ago and the difference is crazy. Granted I still get a louttle frizz but I spend less money for retwist . I usually would get a retwist like every other week. Now it’s been a month since my last retwist and I still think I could go another week or 2
Im ten years n great tips and definitely wear something sleep great video one more thing dont run your fingers through yo hair obsessively. I got a bad habit of doing that on my left side. Beautiful locs on a beautiful woman
Im 12 my mom told me to with some dreadlock videos. My one year lock anniversary is in April and im have zero knowledge of dread lock care. All this information was hoighly needed . THANK YOU Vanessa 💗💗💗💗💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I have had my lox’s for almost a year and my love are just now in the “teenage” stage. I have a long way to go but it’s encouraging and kind of disappointing when people ask me how to start locs, they start them then take em out after a week because they don’t look the way they thought. It’s a tough process. Like Joel Embiid says rust the process.
What a nice informative and inspiring video. You have such a gentle and kind spirit 😊 I wanted to ask how do you maintain your locks so neat without them being frizzy?
Thank u so much....my loc journey is 2-3 months in and it really test my patience level(I dont have any) lol but I have really really patient and loving it...will be following....Thanks once again 🙏🙏💪💪🥰🥰
Hi can you give tips on taking care of color on your Locks? And when did you bleach your Locks? I’m over 3 years Sisterlocked and my Locks are very healthy. I’m thinking about bleaching. Thanks you and your locks are Beautiful!!
I might be late hopping on this info train but I’ve been growing my hair out since around 9th grade and I started out just twisting my hair with a sponge and continued to do that for two years and just let it grow out until it started hanging down. I got my hair officially twisted two weeks ago from a friend who specializes in locks and braids and I just wanted some advice on how does someone like me keep my scalp and hair clean, healthy and smelling good? Also how often should I retwist it? Should I use any products? If so which ones?
So I'm just starting my loc journey, from natural. I tie my hair up at night with a satin scarf. But I've noticed that the area of the twist in my scarf has kinda paused the hair growth. I've tried a bonnet but it comes of. Any suggestions?
@Teisha Misunderstood Hey, I currently have traditional small locs, I don't wanna be retwisting it everytime because it may thin out at the roots you know? So I was hoping, the less retwist, the stronger and thicker they would become
I rarely retwist my hair. This is my 2nd set of locs and this set is much thicker without twisting. I started with 2 strand twists and I've had my locs for about 7 months. I've twisted them once every 6 weeks the first couple months and now I rarely twist. They grew together a little in the beginning, but now my new growth is growing with the loc and not away. When I twisted more, the new growth grew away from it. My hair is super fine so low/no manipulation has yeilded much better results. I only put oil and water in my hair. I also don't use shampoo or conditioner. I use Apple Cider Vinegar, baking soda, lemon, and a dash of sea salt. I keep my hair covered and only wash once every 2 months. These locs are WAYYYY better than the ones I had for almost 10 years. My dad was from the Islands and he had locs past his waist when he died. He did nothing to it and and had the healthiest and longest hair of anyone I know.
A tip if you want to dye your hair without bleaching just use something called developer 30 vol is recommended for darker and thicker hair just mix it with a permanent hair dye and the color will definitely pop just as if you bleached it developer is way less damaging don't leave it on longer than 30 mins that's how I dyed mine
1. find a stylist

3. don’t twist too often
4. protect your hair at night
5. use “more natural” hair products
6. keep your locs CLEAN 🧼
7. be patient- enjoy your journey 😘

Mia H okay thank you , I wasn’t sure if I could before they completely locked
@@Brendenlmack if they're not fully locked then there could be slippage. I suggest you wait until they are fully locked

Dope tips! Definitely gotta get me some silk/satin pillow cases! I be passing out sometimes without wrapping my hair up 😫
I like when you encourage patience because it is a big prob for me. I just started lacking my hair, thanks for the video.
I use Castrol Oil, Peppermint Oil & I wanna add in Tea Tree Oil. I heard Tea Tree helps hair growth
Martin4489 idk bout hair growth but my kids haven't gotten lice since I started using it. But find a REAL tea tree oil.
It helps as an anti-fungal agent. It probably keeps your scalp healthy as well, which promotes growth.
But to much can burn your hair
Finding the right Loc titian is the key, thanks for the information, you are soo pretty and I love your locs.
I get my locks retwist every four months my locks are looking good I get it all the time from others saying my locks look good. I don't use any products but water every day.

I am a freeformer. I'm learning that my hair and scalp only likes Rosewater, regular water and cactus only.
@MakeOut Paradise thank you!💕
How do you put cactus in your hair? Is it like an oil or something like that?
