i like how reasonable this guy is, it is enjoyable to listen to him
Alex has one hell of a business model. First he supplies the necessary tools to amateurs, who then mess it up, and have to pay Alex to fix their mistakes. 😁
only thing, alex does more work in the end
lol. give him the props for tutoring at least
I was just about to say that too. lol
Lol I just said the same exact thing lol🤣
selling the tools of the trade is only common sense when one is showcasing skills. Alex sells his skills but will let you try it first.... I imagine some succeed.
I'm watching this channel since 2018. As far as i can say is Alex is a good and humble person..
A true master craftsman at work
Really have great respect for the patience and expert skills displayed here. Restoring what appears to be non-fixable, especially after less skilled repairmen have made a total mess of it, is truly amazing!
I thought it looked too totally beyond repair at the beginning of the video. But this man is exceptionally clever. Great work.
I have been fixing computers for 10 years and I finally gave in to a customer and did a PS5 hdmi. I was successful but will never do another one. People are failing because it is a super difficult repair. It was a huge PIA to get the original connector off and super difficult to get the tiny pins all connected. Not to mention the filter capacitor. I am lucky i didn't have to mess with broken traces or the diode and cap on the back.
I'm working kind of this stuff too, but its amazing what you are doing out there. I can just learn a lot of methods by your videos, professional jobs!
Been watching this channel for months and never commented. But this was one hell of a job. Well done
Alex, your soldering skills are amazing, so precise, you have golden hands which do this robotic soldering !!! Good job as always! Keep on and may God always be with you ❤️
I absolutely love the videos! Awesome repairs but also the way he talks. Right to the point!!
Watching the flow of solder is therapeutic.. You are the best 👌
You are one hardworking fella. Great work!
I remember opening up a modded PS2 and it's crazy how much tinier everything is in person. It's a lot harder than it looks to solder.
just give a 50% higher quote to accept the tampered items,no shame
There's a 'repair shop' advertises on Facebook does soldering like that, they were trying to say the soldering was high quality when it looked like it was done by a 5 year old.
“The brain is a very nice tool, if you know how to use it”. I’m here for all the great comments. My favorite channel!
IMO .. since this is clearly a very common problem, Sony needs to address this and redesign the PCB in that area for the connector.
Your videos fill me with satisfaction, always a pleasure to watch them. Very good work! A french guy.
Man you are a master at your work. I love watching! ❤
Top Job Alex..
very nice to see your videos.
spacialy the ones where it doesn't always works out. you can learn a lot from these episodes in your daily routine
Finding a bigger place to work normaly is a must for you guys
Ha! I have no interest in ever doing repair but I find your videos extremely fascinating, to watch you work. Very enjoyable, thank you!
Moms and girlfriends be ripping out HDMI cords like popping on their lipstick! Frequent 😭
I love the soccer game analogy.
Great video! We learn so much with this. Thank you very much!
Always great to watch you work. Thanks.
Truly loving your videos. I'm so happy I came across your channel when I was searching for something about my Razer laptop. My whole family watches your videos now lol.
At the end about the Big Boss going on vacation. I wish I had an employer as you are to Big Boss even in the most stiff situation where you both have a crap ton of work to do (that can't even be done all at once but over reasonably given time). I just recently asked my job place for a 2 week vacation, they didn't let me, then I had to do some tricks - ask for 1 week + play the ''sick'' card for the other week, ridiculous stuff.
Does this mean that the repair costs more than double the original estimate? Customer leaves it to shop 1, shop 1 messes it up and sends it to Northbridge...
You should be proud you have inspired this movement
I watch soccer, can't wait for the biggest sporting event in the world, the World Cup! Great job as always!
This is a certified Hiroshima classic
He lowkey roasts you and make it seem normal lmao my type of brodi
شفت كلام عربي على الاكس بوكس انت عربي ؟
يبدوا انك لبناني ، ماشاء الله عليك مبدع جدا صراحة .
Man you did an amazing job on the ripped off pads. You should do this for a living 😆
You are very professional .
Always remember boys.... Your heat settings are never too low you just have to know how to adjust and work your nozzle right.
"It would be amazing if it doesn't work after all that job" LMAO @18:50
My Man Did a Nerdy Bob Ross, with a Happy Little HDMI
Never comes to mind to practice before attempting such a delicate procedure 🤦♂️
I think the channel gives alot of people confidence in repairing items. Thats probably why you see more botched repairs coming in. Not saying your not good. You just make it look easy :)
Nice job... 😀 Same words what I say to my friend when he try to solder new SMD Op-Amp at output on CD Player. OMG what a mess he doing on that place. I fix this at the end. Without proper tools and experience do not try this at home.
On this YT channel I use only 4k webcam + an old Canon 550D. But, I think it would be nice to add one more overhead camera on top of that. I've got a 2nd table now to fix stuff and an apprentice, so, I can start to do Lives as well, not only record.
That was a mess to clean up and repair. Nice job!
You are a legend...This is very interesting and you are explaining in detail
Oh man this guy advance research guy of any company
I'm amazed at how many PS5 HDMI connectors you have to fix. Are people that careless with their expensive devices.
It's like I said: If the cap on the back of the connector is missing, you're on the way to Japan.
Everyone thinks they can be Alex until they cook their connectors. lol
Would wana love to join and help you do and finish all awaiting repairs while u rest...your back and head ure really doing a marvellous repairs am attracted to your gifted hands...
A lot of work! Lot of work! Who told to you to make good job! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... Congratulations man for your skills to repair devices so easyly!👏👏👏👏👏 I follow you and watch The vídeos and think: This Man is greatest! Better than factory! (sorry to my english. I use Google tradutor to send this message 🙃🙃🙃).
Nice Job..So nicely explained too!!. Appreciate good job
Aaaaaaaaaaaah my eyes! I’m blind from UV light! So reckless Alex
Always enjoy your videos 👍.
I take all my Maschine music gear and buy short stubby extension cords, then fasten them in place and only unplug from the extension, NEVER the main gear.
I do this because i plug and replug my gear for sessions. Often several times a day and am terrified of ripping out or having loose connectors. Plus liquids...
Come near my gear with an open drink and ill pause and call you out...Like an angry pointing monkey meme. (I Lost a 32 channel mixer from a sugar drink..sadness.)
keep posting new videos.. im enjoying. I bet you are having fun :)
I had no idea Jon Stewart did repairs on the side.
Solid as a Rock (ASHFORD & SIMPSON) 😂
Why are those ground pins 'optional' ? Or did I misunderstand?
/update nvm, you fixed them later in the video.
those boards were heated in the depths of Mt. Doom.
I do repairs like this and build my own boards. Dont have the patience for other people's stuff. Its not even slightly as easy as he makes it look - lotsa skill involved here. That skill is knowing the look and feel.
The key to all of it is to take your time. Dont force things or rush. Add leaded solder to anything lead free to reduce the melt point.
I started out with a 9$ soldering iron. It can be done with that but not without skill. If a person cant properly desolder something i dont know how they think they can fix ripped traces or lifted pads - i dont know how they think throwing more solder on it can make it magically work. Take your time, practice on a scrap board - remove some smt connectors and reattach them to get a feel for it. Dont make ur 700$ ps5 or irreplaceable laptop your test subject. I believe anyone can do anything they put their mind to but humility is knowing when to hold back til you attained the skills needed.
That said, i gotta get some of them pad strips. Been using magnet wire like a sucker for too long
Love you brother Alex
nice video alex pal. greets from the uk love watching you. top guy all the best ,, have u found a home yet been watching your videos looking, last one was nice,
all the best
Where does he get such marvelous toys?
Mr. Alex, NOT everyone has the incredible electronic surgical skills that you have.
"Bulls in China shops" keep you in business.
I bet you could use UV resin for 3d printers rather than the mask stuff. Probably would be way cheaper.
My new fav channel
"The brain is a very nice tool, if you know how to use it." (Northridgefix
, 2023)
Jednym słowem: "Roboty od zajebania!" ;-)
Safe journeys to big boss.
How many times do you plug-unplug your HDMI cable for this to happen? Or what kind of force are they applying? It's a pretty easy task...
Don't forget about what wild things happen while it is plugged in. More often than not, either through a fit of gamer rage, normies or pets accidentally bumping into the device, fragile IKEA-esque furniture or just precarious or terrible device placement, the aftermath is usually a broken video connector...
Since u pointed that bright blue light in the camera my left eye became blind for 80seconds… please dont do that anymore
i sat through 00:40 20:40
www.youtube.com/@NorthridgeFix
amazing .
egg or chicken ? listened all your dry jokes . at 5 am , i am a driver now . used to be a boat/ship/sea vessel cctv installer .
it is 8 out of 10 are tampered with because they watch your videos and think they can fix it
good job man! kick that workload's butt :D
Well done MASTER!
الله عطيك صحه علي شغلك
Great your work! Can you shou us how do you but heat from the button side of the board?
thank you 😊
I paused with the UV light shining at me and I got a suntan but only on my face..
uv light part always had
18:50 I dont get it? Why would it be amazing if the connector still didnt work??????
from a mess to a clean repair :>
nice👍👍
Came in for repair.
I need to find a shop like yours to work at. I know I can do it. Do you work on TVs?
Im curious. With the clarity of your microscope, why dont you epoxy new pads to the board?
Can I get a private lesson class with you..
make sure to use sunglasses here XD
Tell that customer to buy a broken device and practice soldering on that
LOL expose me to UV light my friend, I got welding eyes already from looking to videos on YT hahahaha!! I love your sense of sarcastic humor bro, no chances for 'trolls' here!! ( For those that don't understand this joke, screens don't have the capability to show images into these type of colour spectrums, so save your complains!
يعطيك العافية 👍🏾
they make it hard to repair so more people can buy a new PS5. But they are so hard to get hold off
Alex, I say with the utmost respect, that YOU are the one that makes it this way! You make these repairs look so easy every tom dick and harry think they can do them. LOL
Yes a Lot of unexperienced shops. And of course those are the ones that charge You cheaper. The microsoldering technichians job must not be cheaper.
Whats the cost of this vs just buying a new one?
Fix it Felix!
Good job god bless you
What's the chair you are using Alaa?
Better than the factory
