Which also, i might add was used specifically for a documentary of the storyline of a planned insurrection, created and acted out by actors. They even hired a special producer that was good at telling stories. It was aired on pbs i believe. It was all a movie... And how come the fbi has never solved who the mysterious bomber is/was ?? And how come the sniffer dogs never reacted when brought to the scene ? . And why did the SS not respond correctly, after being notified by an undercover capital police that there in fact was a pipe bomb under a bench, and didnt immediately tape off the area, that was 10 yards away from the building that harris was in, and also allowed school children and others walk by the area, instead finishing their lunch. And why was Ray Epps treated so differently, compared to others, whom i might add are still sitting in jail, without charges, and no arraignments and no justice. Ray epps is on film orchastraiting the breach for two days, yet his involvement was ignored, until recently. And why was pelosi talking to epps, and about what, prior to jan 6.. i suggest everyone look up the documentary. Its pretty obvious what is going on. There were no officers killed that day, however 5 have died after the event, there were people who did die from injuries they sustained by officers in an attack in the tunnel passage going to the capital, and thats in addition to ashley babbit. But nobody talks about that. Also an armed insurrection means that people attacked the capital who were armed. Thats a lie. The armed people were fbi and others who were undercover. It was all a show folks but with real consequences for the innocent.
Why was Ashley Babbitt shot dead at point blank range and no one else on Jan 6th? Why did Ashley Babbitt murderer use real bullets? Why was Ashley Babbitt's murderer given a promotion and raise and still working in our White House?

Think of it like a failsafe system. If the main control system fails and then the backup control system fails and then the secondary backup control system fails... we don't just say the problem was with the secondary backup control system.

Millie answers directly to the President and in between Millie are several before it gets to the General in charge of the DC Nat'l Guard. The President could order Millie, but it be highly irregular for the Commander- in-Chief to order anyone under Millie unless Millie stepped down or resigned.

The Democrats did not call in the National Guard because they thought the optics were bad, but after J6, they called in thousands of National Guard and surrounded the Capitol with the Guard and rows of fences. I think these brave men were being very diplomatic when they testified!

The Secretary of Defense, at the direction of the President, is in charge of the D.C. National Guard. It's not like the regular States [It's not the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi...and she had nothing to do with Capitol security, either)
The governor of Washington DC (technically the mayor) does not have that authority.
There were only three people with the authority. The President, the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of the Army. It misses the point if we try to say it's the fault of the Secretary of the Army... *NONE* of the people with the authority did it. They *ALL* failed in their duty.

Thanks for this. What would help me get my head around the issues is a timeline, for openers. Beginning with about Jan 2, when WH staff drafted the memo where POTUS requested National Guard and sent the order to then-Speaker Pelosi on Jan 4th. The context for the response was set in the late Spring to early Winter 2020, when it seemed everyone was on heightened pins and needles, especially after the repulsed breach of WH. Many scripts about the Summer riots changed completely after the Capitol riot. I would love to have the time to track changes to the record. The bread and butter of my groups’ psycho-social work over the years has been to study carefully the written record of rhetoric versus either law (not needed here because obvious) or event timing.

I'm a military brat of 30 years, grew up on military bases and close to embassies and the failure of the defense team - could not believe that... I knew something was deeply WRONG that our own well trained marines and police were prevented from defending the capital. (Plus - from what we've heard, DT wanted to bring in the National Guard in advance! What went wrong?)

John Sullivan is part of Antifa I've seen his training videos that he denies. Sullivan was the only one to have a weapon in the capitol. His friend wasn't arrested for some reason. Sullivan was arrested but released with a ankle monito and restricted off the internet. Never put in solitary confinement like the rest of the ones arrested . He violated his terms of release only to have restriction removed by judge. Last I heard he had 7 felony counts but haven't heard what the outcome of trial.

Brave testimony here, with a very sensitive, politically inflamed, heartbreaking subject. These witnesses are courageous. However, the fact is, there are politics and biases in all branches of service (military, police departments, fire departments, etc.). It is sickening nowadays. I pray that I don't have to call 911 due to their preconceived biases. You never know how you will be treated. For me, my experiences with local police have been horrific since Trump became a president. By the way, an immediate family member of my Mother (both now deceased) honorably trained National Guardsmen for his entire career.
