Sweet! I have the Freewing 70mm,and just love it- and yet, more than one guy has told me this one flies even better. Def gonna be the replacement if/ when the FW takes a dirt nap!
I have had this plane since it first came out. Been telling people for the longest that its even better than the avanti!! Its scale, easy to fly and FAST!! Best battery for this birds is a high c 4000 all the way back! Gotten over 11 min flight with a 4000 pack just shooting touch n goes! Its a special bird for sure! Also note that the new version has a 36mm motor 2000kv fan in there. The older one waa 32mm 2100kv. This new 2000kv can also do 7s!! 😳😳😳 But man I never expected 140mph!!! That whistle tells you its moving!! Good video!
Loved my hawk but i hated the gear doors and the foam above the gear on the top of the wings is a bit thin so watch for heavy grass landings. Id say limit it to max 4000 for optimum performance. The newer 2000kv is better than the 2100 which i had. Think I clocked 136mph with the 2100. I think shes due an update with addressing the above gripes. Shes small like an avanti 70mm. Would love to see a larger version which could handle a 5000 with full stabs or maybe even a 90mm.
I'm curious, I really enjoy your Freewing T-45 Goshawk High Performance 90mm video, but honestly, which do you enjoy flying more? This beautiful BAE Hawk 80mm or the Freewing T-45 Goshawk High Performance 90mm?
Jet looks great. Purchase would be a no-brainer if I didn’t already have the Avanti V2. Is it still worth getting if you already have the Avanti or would it be almost like having the same jet with one being just a little better?
I had a 80mm futura, bae hawk and an avanti v1 at the same time. Hawk looked the best but hated how it didn't like a 5000 and the gear doors got on my nerves so sold it. Futura I had v2 and v3. About 5 of them. Cracking jet. Avanti v1 was 💩, sold it and got the V2. V2 is the best 80 sports jet. Its big tho. Bigger than a bae hawk or futura. I'd say in ur postion ud be fine getting the Bae hawk with the V2 already in the hanger. They fly different enough and ones a super scale looking beauty and the others the best performing 80 sports jet u can get.
Thanks I have a 4000 4500 and 5000 HRB so I will try each one in the BAE hawk and see which one I like. Can you easily remove the wings for transport or is it too much of a pain?
@@supe4535I think its the usual quick connection like in the futura and Sirius. 4 screws and wing spar and ur done. 2 minute job. Ud probably get away with just removing the one wing as it's already quite a compact bird.
Thats a tough one....I think the Avanti v2 flys better because its larger by a 1/2 click. but the FMS BAE Hawk almost as good and faster,lighter. The avanti v2 has new 2150kv motor so its got power and speed while being easy on a lipo...BAE HAWK for me lol
Had both. Hawks the better looker but as they've said hawk is a good class smaller. Avanti v2 is basically same size as a Viper 90 and can fly with up to 900g of battery. Hawk is limited to 4000s. Get both! Hawk has crap gear doors and the foam on the wings over the landing gear mounts is thin so watch for heavy landings.

I think FMS Futura is the best 80mm , and FMS Viper is the best 90mm. However all are great
FMS FUTURA is good but she'll stall violently on you...BAE is gentle lol but im biased 😋 all are great
