I'd imagine it would be more difficult to dress with an ostomy of you're a lady who likes tight-fitting clothes, but you seem to have a lot of different options available to you as well. You mentioned that your brother has a jpouch. Do both of you have have IBD? Anyone in your family have it?
Ya, he was diagnosed with UC at age 16 and had his surgery this year to create the j-pouch and have a temporary ileo. My dad passed it on to both of us; he has a permanent ileo. It's nice that I've been able to see the conclusion to both surgeries and generated my final surgical decision on those.
TakeChances89 Wow, that must be tough for all of you to have IBD, but I guess it's the best support you can get too - living with people who know pretty much what you're going through. I find that not having others in my life who can relate to my Crohn's disease is quite hard. But, I do have a lot of IBD brother and sisters online who are always there =) Good luck with your surgery, whenever that may be!
Totally true hard for me that y I always buy a big size shirt
There's ways around "the bulge"! :)
