Femscout is actually based on official art from valve itself so you'd actually be right to think that yes this is how they're supposed to look at least for femscout

One thing I'd like to add to Valve toying with Pyro's gender was in Meet The Spy. On the alert board at the start of the video, the word 'Pyro' has the phrases 'Is a Man' and 'Is a Woman' directly underneath it.

And not to shortly after that there is another image at about 9:24. And another one at 9:25. One at 9:26, 9:27, 9:28, two in 9:29. And yeah that's probably why.
I think a big part of why Fempyro mods are continuously updated, thus maintaining popularity, is that Pyro's voice is muffled and vague enough that none of the voice lines need to be modified. Compare to, say, ChemicalAlia's various female classes mods, which stopped receiving updates because of how frequently new voice lines were added to the game (combined with ChemicalAlia actually getting hired by Valve after making these mods. RIP, that fem Spy is GOATed.)
I remember another mod that technically was a Femme Pyro, though its focus was very different from these. All it did was switch out the Pyro's gas mask head out for Scout's Mom. I remember the Pyro being Scout's Mom being a popular theory for what felt like all of two weeks.
Yeah it doesn't match the lore in any possible way, but it'd be ironic to have a class married to it's most annoying counter, parents of the most annoying... character.

I remember watching a video a while ago about the TF2 female models that Valve had planned, I think it was from Shounic. They ended up getting cut due to concerns with hitboxes and players using the female models to have smaller hitboxes. Ultimately a smart decision from a game design standpoint, but it does end up causing a lack of representation as of which was being joked about in the video. There are no other reasons people have female player models installed I swear.

I won't go into the whole details, but tl;dr I made a pair of striped thigh-highs for this mod, people called it Mega Cringe (because people on twitter hate woman pyro), devolved into arguments from the pro-fempyro and anti-fempyro crowds, flame war ensued, I took the mod down, yada yada. I got paid for it tho, so in the end I still won. :P

i dont regret spending like 4 minutes to pause on each and every single frame with the "fine art" throughout the "Why do people like this mod?" chapter in this video. Truly brings a tear to my eye what amazing art people can make.
While I am generally on the side which would deliberate this with Dragon's Fury, I cannot lie that myself are also a massive enthusiast at Rule63/Genderswap in general, and hence why I had FemScout&Spy mod on my PC, but for different reasons. It was such an extremely rare moment when someone with amazing voice actor skills participate in a free project which already controversial from the start, hence why I adore DustyOldRose Female Voicepacks so much. Because she nailed their personality and change another perspective that Rule63 isn't that bland of a trope that consisted of degeneracy like the whole context in this video. Hence why one of my life goals would prob commissioned her to complete the voice packs with the latest voice lines possible.
I remember on one of the older versions of TF2, when you selected your character, Pyro had a tag line on the character page somewhere that said “Give her a try.” Since then I always assumed Pyro was female so installing a mod that gave her a more feminine appearance seemed more appropriate than the vanilla design. 🤷♂️

It was such an extremely rare moment when someone with amazing voice actor skills participate in a free project which already controversial from the start, hence why I adore DustyOldRose Female Voicepacks so much. Because she nailed their personality and change another perspective that Rule63 isn't that bland of a trope that consisted of degeneracy like the whole context in this video.

I remember on one of the older versions of TF2, when you selected your character, Pyro had a tag line on the character page somewhere that said “Give her a try.” Since then I always assumed Pyro was female so installing a mod that gave her a more feminine appearance seemed more appropriate than the vanilla design. 🤷♂️
