Thankyou so mivh fot taking the time to post your vidios , really looking forward to watching them .❤
Hi….Thank you for your kind comment. We’re glad you enjoyed this video and we hope you enjoy watching the others. How exciting for you to view to campervans this weekend! Which ever campervan you choose, you’ll be able to start having your own adventures! All the best 🙂
Hya, this is the first time i've found one of your videos. I have also got a 2000 Autosleeper Symbol. My partner and I have been to the New Forest in either campers or caravans depending what we had at the time. We loved going there. Sadly I lost Bryan just over 2 years ago but I have continued to use the camper on my own since then. It is something too good to give up and makes me happy. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more of your adventures.
Hi there…..thank you for commenting. So sorry to hear about you losing Bryan. It’s good you’ve been able to carry on using your campervan and that it’s making you happy. Thank you for subscribing, I hope you enjoy all the other videos we’ve uploaded so far and we hope you enjoy our future videos too! All the best D&J x
Thanks for sharing. Look like you guys are loving the van. We bought Nelly, a Peugeot, Autosleeper Symbol (1996 model) at the end of last season and taking her on our first trip the second week of April. We have been caravans for years and we are very excited to be going on our first campervan holiday. :)
Oh wow….30 years old! Very cool. We certainly are enjoying our travels. It’s funny how we name our vans, isn’t it - Angel is a great name for a camper. Thanks for your comment and happy campervaning 👍🏻🙂
Enjoyed your vlog. I am a regular visitor to the New Forest, often camping with my children (all teenagers but they love it) and frequently on my motorbike as I ride to Poole Quay in the summer for 'bike night' on a Tuesday evening (often 1000+ bikes meet up there, it's quite a spectacle)... When I camp I generally stay in a 'camping in the forest' site as there are few restrictions on where you can park and the New Forest ponies, cows, horses and dear wander freely amongst the tents and vans...
The ‘Camping in the Forest’ sites sound fantastic (will definitely try one of those someday). The Poole Quay biker meet up sounds very cool too! Glad you enjoyed the video…..We’ve got some good trips planned this year, so stay tuned! 🙂👍🏻
Hi..Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed our video…..Yes, we love Basil (our camper van) and we would definitely recommend that campsite too! Thanks again 🙂
I love your van. I have been lioking at these and the harmony. Is yours a 1.9 or larger. Only reason I ask is that I have read the 1.9 is a bit sluggish and just wanted a bit of advice.
What mpg do you get with your Talbot ? I suppose it's a 1.9 diesel engine , isn't it? Do you have electric steering wheel or is it the original one ? TIA !
Hi….Sorry for the late reply. Our van is a Peugeot, Autosleeper Symbol (2000 model), so not a Talbot. It’s a 1.9 petrol engine (not a diesel). It’s the original steering wheel that came with it.
Hi Kevin…It is 16” ..It’s the Avtex w163d and was already fitted in the van by previous owners when we bought it (you can find out more about it here www.avtex.co.uk/manuals/avtex_w163d_manual.pdf )
@@theealesadventures cheers guys i have a harmony 1998 short wheel base cost me a few pounds to get him on the road new gears and welding underside plenty freedom now just go where we want
That’s awesome Kevin……Yes, we also had a bit of welding work done. Have fun in your Harmony. Having a campervan gives a great sense of freedom, doesn’t it 🙂
Hi…..Yes it does! The shower is a wet room shower though, rather than a separate shower room. We just use the showers on the campsites, although it’s good to know we have a shower on board should we need it.
No problem….It has a shower, but it’s in the same room as the toilet (wet room) with a shower curtain to protect the door. I know what you mean though, an actual separate shower would be ideal. I guess it depends on what things you’re willing to compromise on when it comes to small camper vans. We love how some of the newer vans have started having a separate shower room and a toilet occupying the same space by cleverly swinging a wall with the washroom sink round. Expensive though (for us, anyway).
We’re shy! Seriously though, we are happy just documenting our holiday trips the way we are at the moment. But never say never…..We might try doing a proper “vlog” style video soon. If we do, you can take the credit 😉

I have the same as you a 2003 Symbol called fudge and we love ours too
Fudge! What great name! Symbol’s are great, aren’t they….perfect lay out for the size of van 👍🏻🙂
I have same van can you tell where you got the Silver Black out covers From Thanks
Hi….We got them from a website called Leisure Outlet.com (made by a company called Nova Tailored Interior Blinds). 🙂
I want one.
Definitely worth it…..even for nice day trips at the weekend, as well as longer camping trips 🙂
I love your van. I have been lioking at these and the harmony. Is yours a 1.9 or larger. Only reason I ask is that I have read the 1.9 is a bit sluggish and just wanted a bit of advice.
It’s a 2.0 petrol….but it is still a little sluggish compared to a modern car (it is a 24 van, after all). I think the 1.9 is the diesel version.
Thank you for your update.
@pennyyoung6684 You’re welcome 🙂

Hi there, lovely camper van.
What size is the engine in yours and is it petrol or diesel?
Regards,
John.
Hi John….Thanks! We love our van. The engine is a 1.9 Petrol.
Does your van have toilet and shower?
Hi…..Yes it does! The shower is a wet room shower though, rather than a separate shower room. We just use the showers on the campsites, although it’s good to know we have a shower on board should we need it.
@The Eales Adventures thanks for your reply looking into getting a small camper but a shower is a must for me
No problem….It has a shower, but it’s in the same room as the toilet (wet room) with a shower curtain to protect the door. I know what you mean though, an actual separate shower would be ideal. For God sake say something

not sure about your food tbh
Thanks for the comment David. It’s a good job this isn’t a food channel isn’t it 🙂
