Dude you are an absolute beast with cranking this awesome content out at this rate. You're hustle is not taken for granted from this guy.
Come on guys. Give yourselves a wobble. He has a team of at least 6 people working for him. He is even using a double. Zoom in. His hair even looks different
@@georgeharalambous261 60 (sixty) people :P
@georgeharalambous261 😭 i love his videos for this but bro is mostly just walking and talking with some music text and montages put in, its not insane production value. One person can totally do it, not that its easy either. The authentic feel is exactly why I love it.
Yeah, 2 videos in 1 day! So excited for this. 🤗
Hair is looking good! 👌
Gabriel you said it right that this island was previously Greek! At 11:42 those Greeks visiting Tenedos (Bozcaada, as the Turks renamed the island in the 1960's, after expelling its predominantly Greek population) are not so much tourists as they are offspring of the Greeks living previously in Tenedos. They go there to visit and somehow pay hommage to the island of their parents and grandparents...
08:58 "kalimera" in the sign..The owner is probably one of the 20-25 Greeks living until today in the island (whereas in Imbros live about 700 Greeks).Added to the above remark, the musical instrument that is heard in the restaurant is the greek "bouzouki".There seems to be something in the air that still exudes a greek color and vibe.
Gabriel your new hair style looks great and suits you very well. Your professionalism and enthusiasm always comes through in your videos and is greatly appreciated. You are a History Professor in disguise. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
Hi from Athens Greece, I follow your vlogs sooo many years ago! So pleased that Greece is one of your favorite destinations! Anyway, just want to let you know that your new haircut looks super good 👌 👍
There's something so exciting about boarding a ferry to an island you've never seen before, especially in that part of the world. Enjoy!
Absolutely. And this island doesn't disappoint.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos aegean never disappoints.
Hey Gabe,
I've been following you on UA-cam for years now, and I have to say that you continue to be a huge inspiration to me. Thanks for that. My next adventure will be to Greece, where I'm planning to visit the ancient sites like the Oracle of Delphi and the Thermopylae, and really dive into the history. I'm really looking forward to it.
I wish you a great time in Turkey and will keep following your journey with great interest. Sending you warm greetings from Germany.
Best regards,
Michael
Cool vlog Gabe, great tunes too! Amazing journey as well. Thanks for sharing!
Lemnos as you probably know across the border is a very unique Greek Island . Awesome beaches, low hills not exactly mountains and with it's own little sand dunes. I imagine it would be on your list to go Gabe
Man this trip is just great. Thank you so much
Nice hair cut, for a refresh you looks more younger and handsome.
Great travel vlog, as always. Interesting island with a different feeling, the houses are different in this beautiful seaside place. The restaurants look heavenly. That water is so clear!
Looking great with your new haircut! 🎉
Finally, you got to have a swim, yay, beautiful clear water. The food looks delicious, looks like a nice place to chill. Thank you for 2 videos in one day! ❤😊
Love all the wee tables and chairs,so peaceful and inviting
Awesome stuff man! You inspire me to make positive changes in my life. Much love!
Gabe: really enjoyed the second video today on the island of Bozcaada. Makes me want to check it out for myself. Can’t wait to get back to the Aegean
Beautiful video i totally enjoyed it
Love this!!! ❤🤍❤
The haircut is amazing, its knocked years off, very nice
143€ for a room like this is ripp of. In Greece you pay less than half. You can find find easyly for 40€.
I hadn't realized it when I booked it, but it turns out today is Victory Day in Turkey, so I think that increased the prices.
Looks incredible
What a beautiful little island!
Well, that's neat to hear.I live in portland oregon. Enjoying getting to see a part of the world.I know.I will never go to, so thank you so much. And for your history you are advertisable encyclopedia of amazing information. Thank you❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hair cut is epic Gabriel 😊❤ looks good!
Was your breakfast this morning "epic" also? 🤦
There are some really beautiful beaches around the island, and you can easily reach them by minibus. Plus, Bozcaada is famous for its wines, so don't forget to visit the local wineries
turks use vine? i have idea its not in that culture
Great video again ! 😊❤🇧🇦
Love this video
1. Nice hair cut
2. I liked the Greek music in the former greek island of Tenedos
I literally just finished watching your previous video and your newest one appeared. Working fast 😅
Looks cool for you ❤
Island vibes 🌊✨️🧿♥️
On your way south to the ferry, Pergimon is another great archeological site near Izmir. The museum in Berlin has the famed Pergimon Porch.
Like the look!
Gabe, how about a hot chicken soup with lots of lemon for dinner to fix the cold. I'm pretty sure Turks have/cook well the chicken. Also a cup of hot (turkish) tea with lemon, local honey or propolis (if turks know the greek word of propolis, maybe it's bee-glue in English).
Super nice haircut!
You may consider going to the Greek islands of Symi & Halki after your visiting the Turkish Aegean islands since both islands close to Turkey.
I've been to Symi, nice island: ua-cam.com/video/a7KjKyJDZyQ/v-deo.html
Looks super charming place , beautiful
Nice water
Food is unique
Loving the Turkish Aegean island experience. How do you compare the coastal/beach locations in Turkey with the Greek ones? I have noticed a big difference in overall culture, pace of life and tourism even going from Kos to Bodrum or Rhodes to Marmaris. They both provide the best Mediterranean experiences I think, with the overcrowding and price hikes in Spain, Italy and Croatia..
That island though it might be rather pretty it would seem that it lacked the vibe found in the Greek Isles!
Love the new do Gabriel 🥳
Hi Gabreil, remarkably interesting island not over commercialized no major hotels but interesting, nonetheless. A well-deserved indirect vacation, a chance to unwind and recharge your batteries, there is still plenty of summer to enjoy.
Like the hair...chill out.
Thank you for sharing the visit of Bozcaada. It is very interesting to see a Turkish island in the Aegean See. At first sight, one can see that this Turkish island differs from the Greek one. I am eager so watch your exploration. There are the Princes' islands near Istanbul which are visited by foreign tourists, because these islands are considered as a part of sights of Istanbul.
What a find! Google Translate says the island is pronounced Boz-jah-dah. Love the new haircut and beard trim.
Man , your living a dream , beautiful places, beautiful girls everywhere, travel the world. I have to make it happen too. Your unrecognizable with that nice haircut, I,m sure immigration does a double take at your passport photo, lol. Gabriel high roller traveller mode !
It IS normally crazy there at this time of the year, it was unbearable to walk in the alleys 3 years ago when I was there. And Tenedos IS called Mykonos of Turkey! 🙂 However, inflation and high costs made vacations too expensive for the Turkish people, mostly for the young, the usual crowd there. Plus, Greece issued a fast-track seven-day visa to 15 islands for the Turkish people, and many of them took advantage of it.
A piece of constructive criticism Gabriel when you approach and show an amazing view…take a chill and allow all the viewers to soak in it. Love Gabriel Traveler.
10:01 Arabic alphabet was the official language of ottoman times. Atatürk changed that when Türkiye became a republic. He westernized the nation. He was a good dictator that made men shave their beards and made newspapers print in the Latin alphabet. Not all dictators are bad, but most are. Atatürk cared about his people. No disrespect to Greek people who lived there for centuries, but the island was ottoman for 450 years. After the 1920’s the Turks were using western alphabet. That Çeşme (fountain) is possibly hundreds of years old. The island been ruled by many. It’s very much Turkish now and deserves to be, despite the sad history.
Liking the hair cut bro! It definitely suits you 👍
Time to wined down and relax a bit 😊
I love the intro 🍺
Wow, looking good ❤😊
Nice haircut and beard trim 😍
Ready for it 😍
enjoy!!!! tanx
I believe you can get a ferry from Bodrum, Turkey to Kos Is. The hair cut would be cooler. The water is so clear. Thankyou you for the interesting history you give us also.
You're right, I did it the other way, from Kos to Bodrum. But there's a closer ferry port to where I am, with boats going to the island of Lesvos.
We need to see a video of the Turkish hair-cut 😂😂 Looks like you visited a good barber ! 😂😂👍👍
Well deserved..enjoy😊😊😊😊
🍺 Take care of yourself.
hair looks sick my dude good call
Another beautiful greek island
Hair cut 👌❤️❤️❤️
Better!!! hello from New York City
2025 brand new Gabe, Nice haircut dude 🎉
I've been looking forward to this upcoming course: "Biodiversity 11: Warming Oceans, Moving Shorelines & Sea Level Rise" with our Restoration Ecologist Jim Laurie. It's so good to see some more islands now & soon. - Due to the expected 2 to 20 foot sea level rise between now and 2100, it'll be changing.
Thanks for taking us along and pointing out some of the bicycles and carts like at 5:36, for instance. Getting closer might lead to who makes them on Bozcaada, etc. Enjoying Türkiye this week vicariously, thx. 💚 🌲😎🌲
Save the whales!
great video. saludos
Yay
Why not get a good pair of binoculars for viewing distance. Hair looks great but hope you saved some of the curly locks as a memory.❤😊
Good no beer.😊
Turkey is not affordable anymore. Inflation aside, and speaking in dollar terms, you were able to retire in Turkey as recently as 2019 on $1000 in Istanbul. When Covid hit, many place got out of control and Turkey leads the pack. Pricing is in par with most European countries which is a shame since salaries are still very low for the locals.
It's exactly the same in Cyprus, north + south. But especially south. Rents have literally trebled in three years but local salaries are the same!
In terms of many british they re no longer sllowed to spend all year in Turkey unless a v expensive property..
Interestingly Turkish salaries also got better in USD, my salary nearly got tripled in USD in last 4 years, i only got inflation increases. So i went 5 times abroad last year and twice this year, 2 more before 2024 finishes, going abroad got much cheaper for me ;)
2 videos on 1 day🎉
😍😍
Nice fresh haircut 💇
Bingo!
Second.
@@GabrielTravelerVideosPrice of your hotel you mentioned is per night or for 3 nights?
Let's play two! Chiocolate chip, double dip.
Hi Gabe: Bozcaada looks beautiful. The music at the end seemed to be on point. just curious, why swim with your sandals on? Was it very rocky there?
They needed a rinse.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Ha Ha! Good one.
Uggh, my parents lived in Turkey and traveled to Greece quite a bit in the 60's, and all I heard my whole life was how great life was in Trky, Greece, and UK in the 60's and I am stuck here in the US with it's divisiveness and strip malls, never have been to Trky or Greece, and have all their pics and film from that time.............still hoping one day to get out of this stucco, strip malled, $ motivated hell hole.
Get yourself over there. No excuses, book the ticket. 😊
Beautiful vlog waiting more Turkish vlogs from Aegean sea, Black sea, Mediterranean sea 🌊
❤️👍❤️
Do you ever find carrying backpacker backpacks make you more of a target when travelling ?
Myself? One small backpack, makes me blend in with the locals.
Hmmmm
Less stuff is definitely better, but because I travel so much I guess I like to have a few extra things.
No more meal prices?
❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, now that's a haircut!
👍👍👍
Gabriel you can also go to the nearby island of Samothraki... it has something unique
What about thasos
@@RovexHD any more advice?
I'm considering going to some of the Greek islands in the north Aegean, we'll see where I end up.
Limnos has more to offer but Samothraki is nice for hiking and has its own spirit you should visit i think you will like it there! In Samothraki where the statue of Niki comes from (stands in Louvre, Paris) is an archeological place can't remember the name its worth a visit if you are there! In Limnos Gabe I can give you details about archeological sights there are the Kaviria, Poliochni and Hfestia!
psimythos is the best aegean island :P
Looking good Gabe, the new cut suits you, makes you look younger... I can relate lol, I love Turkiye, have a place in Mersin province. :)
Nice haircut Gabe - should help with the hitching!!! 😂
You look GREAT!! ❤
Hitching is not safe!
@@Lorraine-p4rGabe does what he has to do!!
There is still much to discover in Turkiye, and not only there. Releasing two videos in one day is an admirable feat, especially when you have a cold.Nice travel,Gabriel!👍
W did you cut your hair??
Sadly I was put off of,”Homer”,in 9th grade because the book of poems,”The Oddesy”, was a bit too much for my ninth grade brain to grasp. Got thrown out of English class/9th grade first week.
Hello Gabriel
Most islands in that region produce real natural, good and tasty honey... you can give your health surely give a boost with that!
Grtz
And ask for propolis ...most beeholders produce that too!
2025 is gonna be a great year for Tenedos and Imvros ❤
Hey Gabriel It's treking season in nepal
Visit Nepal
Very good plan.
Amazing bouzouki music in the end, seems Greek to me, but maybe I am wrong
You're right. I asked the waitress about it and she said it was kind of a mix of Turkish and Greek, something like that.
Beware of the bad weather the next 2 days.
Nice hair :))
Thanks.
I spent a few nights on this island about 10 years ago, lovely place.
As I remember it, it was a place that fairly well off people from Istanbul came to on the weekends.
I am heading to Lahore and Islamabad in 5 days, dry state, can't even bring duty free in. Challenging for an irishmen 😂
Good luck! You'll appreciate a pint even more when you get back. How long will you be there?
@@GabrielTravelerVideos 2 weeks. I have a European adventure in October and I am heading to India for my first time in February ❤️😁🇮🇳
@@CelticMickWalks Excellent. India is on my radar again as well, maybe this fall, as well as Nepal. I also really want to see Pakistan so we'll see where I end up.
