Amazing Turkish island! Bozcaada is just wonderful place to visit! Thanks Gab for showing us!
What a lovely, unspoilt island! Ever since we first went on a family holiday to the Isle of Wight when I was a kid, I've always had a fascination with islands and how they can differ; not only from the mainland, but also from other islands in the same area. This one doesn't disappoint! 😊
Gonna call you the Energizer Bunny, the amazing content delivery. Mucho respecto Amigo 🇮🇪💪
I’m loving this island Gabe….great work
Thank God for everything! I love these ancient countries that gives me happiness & greatful to Gabriel.
Beautiful video, Gabe! I love how you made everyone vicariously travel and inspire others to explore our world without fear of challenges!
Keep the videos coming Gabriel, you give so much interesting info about the countries you visit. 🍻
Beautiful video of Bozcaada. Interesting history of the castle, great views as well. You got to go swimming twice! Those bays were amazing and even the “murky” swim looked clear to me. Another amazing video, thanks. ❤❤
Beautifully located marketplace under the trees.Crowded beaches become half-empty after the weekend.Amazing shots from the fort!
yeah, this market place was the best part of this video IMHO. great vibes and im sure the local products (especially honey) are top notch.
@@wifiThief I think so,too.
Such a lovely place Gabriel. My family comes from Izmir. I have never seen Turkey . Bless you in your travels.
binge-watching your videos today, man, watched 4 or 5 of them, thanks, and have a good weekend!
This island is a great place to visit in September and the first half of October.
Yes it looks like a very beautiful island I wish I went there instead of Oludeniz Resort ⛵🌊
Thanks for sharing! Another to add to list!
Oh really? Every where was amazing.what a unique location to see! This is superb.
Love the less busy beaches, it looks a lovely island, but those prices so high. Stay safe
Geia sou Gabriel! If you are already in Greece then "Kalos irthes" = welcome.....and good Month ( = Kalo mina)...we use to say it the first day of each month. In case you don;t know, there is an international airport south of Peloponnsos at Kalamata city. Except from Mani, close to Kalamata check for Koroni and Methoni and in case you want to hang up with two Greek fans (me and my husband Nikos) we will be visiting the island of Kythira middle of September 14 to 22.Enjoy!
Gabriel
That water just looks so good

Thank you for taking me to this island I’m a Virgo so I love when you go underwater love love enjoy and God Bless keep you safe
Beautiful Island.
Very interesting. Thanks very much. 😊😊
Such a lovely walking market place and pristine clear waters in a place so beautiful and peaceful, it's hard to imagine famine and war occurred there, but that is the way of the world when diverse civilization clashes over living space, culture, economics, and natural resources.
Loving the content lately Gabe
Omigosh The scene of you swimming is so wonderful. I remember that sensation - the soft sand, cool sea current, … ❤ That first one would have been a hard pass for me too.
Also love the rocky point - more memories of that sensation. Good times. You would have missed all this on a bus, most likely, eh?
The reason it's so crowded is because August 30th is a national holiday in Turkey, marking the anniversary of a major offensive during the country's war of independence. It's not a religious holiday. By the way, the name 'Bozca' in Bozcaada translates to something like 'Gray Island' in English, with 'ada' meaning 'island.' The name comes from the island being treeless and barren :)
Exactly, I talked about Victory Day at the end.
In Serbian, "ada" means river island.
A different word is used for sea island.
Likewise, "kapı" mean door, but only into a yard of a house.
A different word is used for door to a house, apartment, or vehicle.
@sarikanarya567 Probably you were watching a different video, as the island is full of pine trees, fig trees and a lot of vegetation, as the open market was full of local produce!😮
@@GabrielTravelerVideos this was a 100 per cent greek population island until the 1960 s where the turkish government has installed open prisons there bringing criminal turks to kill rape and plunder the greek indigenous of the island.... This island was greek until 1923 when the greek prime minister venizelos gave it to kemal attaturk with the lausane treaty. Venizelos practicaly gave it away... turkey did not won it by war. For that reason this island according to the lausane treaty was prescribed to be autonomous, something that turkey did not respect it.
@@uom07DUd Yes, I saw plenty of trees!
Tremendous ❤
All beaches are amazing on this island.
Very beautiful 😍
Went there in 2005 for a few days, went to the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli ceremony down the road afterwards
Not surprised the rental place took USD. Turkish people know better than anyone the state of their currency. I was in North Macedonia recently and asked a driver if I could pay in Euros. He said he'll take any European currency except the Turkish Lira. Make sure you spend all of that cash because it'll be worth a whole lot less next time you're in Turkey.
The port with the fishing boats and the restaurants on the side looks very similar to the old port in Naousa on Paros island (one of the Cyclades in Greece)
WOWW I Love what you are doing! Türkiye is such an interesting and beautiful country and the islands are so fascinating!
Gabriel at 4:43 you are most probably passing by a Greek restaurant (?) - cafe (the one with the brown windows, the word "KRASI" in its name, playing a Greek song as you were passing it by). The owners of this shop probably are millennia old Greek "Tenedians" - the original inhabitants of this island before the Turks kicked the Greeks out and brought in settlers from mainland Turkey...These "Tenedians" definetely are a rare specimen by now....
At 11:09 the castle you are visiting is of unknown origin alright but was most probably built by the Phoenicians, the Romans or the Venitians??? There is a huge chronological gap there, as you commented... I am curious as to why the ancient Greeks and the medieval Greek-Byzantines, who were inhabiting that whole geographical area for millennia, are conspicuously absent regarding that "unknown origin" castle?
Exactly my point, the gap. Because the tuyrks want to wipe out the history, the fact that they took greek lands. It's that simple.
You could always rent a bycicle. They have electric bycicles nowadays, if youre travelling longer distances its an added plus for those without a driver's license
You look cleaner Gabe with that trim. Somehow reminds me of the Graham Bonnet look against Ritchie Blackmore! (if you can sing too like him?) You went from an older hippie guy to a trim kid in one day!! Good look.
Very well deserved swim there Gabriel! Hope the cold goes away. It is very annoying when travelling. 🙂
Beautiful

That island is a tourist trap!
How?
Good stuff Gabriel.
Hi Gabriel, I remember saying that you might visit some spots around Turkey, and I know you have visited other areas around Turkey. Still, I don't remember if you have seen the Sumela Monastery or the Dolmabahce Palace, Perge or Patara. There is an amazing amount of history throughout the country.
What a beautiful island! The fort/castle seemed fairly well preserved considering how long ago it was built. The quad seemed fun to drive! The beaches are very pretty and the water is so clear. I wander what type of shoe would work best for rocks or just be careful. Who knows. 🎉
lovin this island
Yes, the island of Tenedos is nice.
Viticulture history in Bozcaada (Tenedos) dates back 4000 years and this tradition continued during the Ottoman era. There was a wine festival on the island that lasted for decades but has since succumbed to the pressure of the Erdogan administration, sadly fading away. Hope the island will be able to keep it alive somehow until Erdo-gone
If you go to Greek Peloponnese Peninsula, you may be interested to visit Mycenae, King Agamennon of Mycenae is the commander of the Achaean Sparta contingent to invade Troy as Helen was the wife of his brother King Menelaus of Sparta. The Homer's epic poems Odyssey & Iliad was all about them.
King Agamennon's golden funerary
mask is on display in the National Archaelogical Museum of Athens, his burial ground is of a beehive structure.
I guess that USD157 is the price for foreigners, not for the local.
It's still looking very busy People are still on holiday schools very popular area by the looks
When u get home u have to get a motorcycle license love it when you get on a scooter great video I watch u going places as I suffer from anxiety disorder would love to go places but I’m on my own please talk about more single travel and best situation and bad
Its the same shape as Sicily...where you need to finish your tour!
Thank you nice vlog
I'm missing those fantastic El Salvador vibes
Hair looking good Gabe.
Yesterday I was thinking that American dollars might have solved your hotel problem.Always good to have a reserve stash.
4:35 ΔΕΙΤΕ , ΧΑΜΟΓΕΛΑΣΤΕ , ΧΟΡΕΨΤΕ ( SEE , SMILE , DANCE )
Yes, that's definitely a Greek scripture, written though in a quite odd, cryptic manner, as if the letters weren't Greek (and kudos to you for noticing them)! It is as if the Greeks that wrote the scripture were afraid that the Turks would notice it and get upset by it...
Rhodes/Crete
Nice islands despite tourism
I love Crete. I worry about it though. In the next few years a new airport is set to open replacing Heraklion. It’s set to be the second biggest (I think) airport in Europe & is envisaged to become a main hub for flights further east.
@VoiceOfThe The second biggest airport in Europe?! No , not even close. The plan is to be the second biggest airport in Greece, and will replace the old existing one, so don't worry.
Island 🏝 life 🇹🇷😍
Chillin in trinty, shasta forest , later this month rainbow regional gathering🎉
Hey Gabriel. We will be in Skiathos next couple of weeks. As you're close by, if you fancy it then come say hi. We'll buy you a beer or two 😊
6th I think....Have a great day!
Gabe love your vlogs
.little tip always have some cash on hand. Before which island your going to
.But it's traveling..
👍👍👍
Gabriel, you don't travel with much reserve cash! When I travel for a couple of weeks or more I carry a minimum of 500 dollars/euros/pounds to cover ATM failures or getting stranded etc, but sometimes even more, Its safe to carry this amount as long as you look after it and dont leave it in a bag unattended etc! Maybe you should think about doing that?
I had $300 USD. Doesn't matter too much exactly how much you have, as long as you have something.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos it's not much nowadays! As in this case just a couple of nights accommodation..
nice🍻
Nice trip. I'm surprised they charged you only 30TL to see the castle. When I was in Istanbul, a lot of the historical sites gouged foreigners like Topkapi palace 1500TL foreigner & 250TL local or Hagia Irene 90TL local & 500TL foreigner.
The classic way of deleting anything greek on the ruins description is laughable in Turkey..Nice videos Gabriel!👍☺️
Saturday and Sunday is the weekend holiday in Türkiye not Friday. Just like most of the western countries
I am Greek even though my family is from Izmir. It was called Asia Minor when they came to America. Izmir is one of the 7 churches in the book of Revelation.
Small and those old days vibe island ,
hotel is expensive unfortunately what we face all around the world if we don’t buy much in advance the hotels in high season we pay triple or more price unfortunately apart from this hope you enjoyed your trip
There are ways around it man. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I wanted to visit both Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, but staying on the islands overnight is cost prohibitive (rooms are $800 plus a night in July), so what to do? I stayed mainland Cape Cod and did day trips on the ferry and saved 90%. Still got to enjoy both islands. They are small, walkable and explorable in a day. You could’ve done the same here and saved a bunch and actually would’ve provided better content that way. I have a plolicy to never pay over $40 a night in Turkey no matter what. You have to set spending limits so people also learn how to travel on the cheap and maximize their enjoyment.
My main mission on this visit to Turkey was experience a Turkish island. Yes, could have stayed in the little town of Geyikli near the ferry port on the mainland for cheaper I'm sure but wouldn't have been the same. For people on a budget they can watch my other videos in Ankara and Canakkale in which I showed my hotel rooms that were 30 something bucks a night. Great deals in Turkey.
Would you come to England and do a rainy vlog😂❤
🙂❤👍
😎😎😎
Miss the beers though. Have they stopped serving alcohol in Turkey? Back in the days, the ninetish they had this excellent Efes beer.
Beer still available, had an Efes yesterday. 🍺
I’m curious about how many cats you’ve seen? Maybe, there are more free roaming cats in Istanbul?
Waiting for more Turkey vlogs from holiday destinations like İzmir Çeşme Urla Kuşadası; Antalya Kemer Side Belek etc
👍
Hey Gabe, do you have a favorite beach? You've visited so many already!
Here's one of my favorites: ua-cam.com/video/wxsHKi9aJtc/v-deo.html
was something happening with the camera around 32mins?
Nice! ❤😂🎉
"Island in the Aegean Sea of Turkey"? You mean Turkish island in the Aegean. The way you phrase is like the Aegean Sea belongs to Turkey..
Boom, title changed.
Boo hoo
@@GabrielTravelerVideos thank you Gabriel! This is sensitive material! You see, on the very "Victory" day that you were filming this video the Turkish president Erdogan publicly proclaimed that "whoever believes that Turkey will be limited within its current borders is deceived!" In addition, the Turks have unilateraly and against every international law, against history and common sense, proclaimed that half of the Aegean Sea - with all the Greek islands comprised in it - belongs to Turkey!!!" That's why phrases like "the Aegean Sea of Turkey" that seem pretty innocuous to an unsuspected individual may actually be advancing an aggressive agenda.
@@ThomasGazis lmao
@@ThomasGazis Yeah, Erdogan said that Turkey will not be keep at shallow sea. It is in fact a declaration of war.
Nice haircut Gabe
Murky water ? It’s obvious Gabe has never swam at Southend-on-sea !
first 🤞🏻
Third.
Great News your money situation is improving 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for lovely vlogs , there are more developed and nice destinations like Çeşme, Foça, Marmaris, Kuşadası, Bodrum, Antalya, İzmir, Kemer, Side, Belek, Didim etc From İzmir you can easily visit Foça, Seferihisar, Urla, Çeşme, Kuşadası.. from Antalya Kemer, Side, Belek etc and also Fethiye is a nice destination Waiting more Turkey vlogs 🇹🇷thank you Enjoy

Is it time for you to get your California M1 class driver's license next time you spend time in CA? 😃
21:49 In Greece
Why didn't you just transfer the money to the hotels acount with the app on your cellfone? I cannot use checks or
credit cards so I use cash or transfers
We would need to use the same app, but they use different apps in Turkey.
I would not like trying to drive with those strips in the road. That would suck.
TENEDOS the real name forever
Over tourism sucks!
When I am in Budapest, Hungary and use a credit card to buy a souvenir , should I click U.S. money or Hungary money., I found out my Chase freedom card charges 3% fee, but my Amazon card does not charge a fee so I am going to use my Amazon card, but not sure if I should click on U.S. money or Hungary money.
Always click on the local currency, wherever you are.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Thank you for letting me know.
Welcome to Tenedos
Tenedos looks nice.
I find this island not that appealing. It's all a bit worn out. It's sad to see Turkey let this happen.
I do think this island have a lot of potential.
1st
Got it again.
