Then, I just lost my mojo for awhile. Too, my adult son lives with me, and he doesn’t always like what I like. Having a procedure on 12/16 and I pray to GOD it takes care of my ❤problems! I plan to meal prep again. I hate fast food! It doesn't taste like it used to and it's not healthy. Thank you for the ideas, tips and tricks!
I am an empty-nester married to a wonderful man. These are great. We can pop 2 lasagnes in the oven or a shephards pie and a pizza, whatever we are in the mood for. I might make some for my college age daughter for nights she works late and just wants home cooked food instead of fast food.
I don’t have a problem using plastic but I generally use foil, which can be reused. I’m a fan of reheating burritos, sandwiches, etc in a toaster oven or air fryer. They can just stay in the foil. If I want to use a microwave I unwrap and wrap in a moist paper towel. I store in freezer bags but they could also be stored in a Pyrex style glass or foil dish with lid if desired. Loved the video.
Thank you! Foil is a great idea! I reuse whatever I can, but I know I still use a lot of plastic wrap when I do big meal preps like this. Will definitely consider using more foil😁
When I'm making the English Muffins After baking the sheet pan eggs instead of cutting into squares I take my round biscuit cutter and "cut" out the rounds. Fits the muffins and bagels ALOT better

being a single person, I do meal prep all the time, LOVE these videos thanks for the inspiration! I'm going to try these soups, I love soup, ironically I eat soup year round it's my favorite so I'm looking forward to trying these new soups as my regulars are chicken noodle and veggie beef, now I can try some creamy ones! I thought they would be harder than they were, lol, I'm not a great cook by any stretch but I do have to feed myself so thank you again for all the inspiration!

Chili is a must for me to stock in my freezer. The versatility of it never ends. I will throw a sweet potato in the oven, and then warm up some chili to put on top with a scoop of sour cream. I’ll throw it on nacho chips with a sprinkle of cheese, tomatoes, sliced green onions and lettuce, for a perfect taco salad. I even toast buns and use it like sloppy Joe’s, instead of tomato sauce on spaghetti. And of course for tacos.

Nice video. My go to mealprep breakfast sandwich is english muffin, egg baked in cupcake tin, cheese and meat of your choice. I also do crust less spinach and egg quiche in cupcake pans. Both freeze well and great for portion control. I freeze just like you do with plastic wrap and reuse the freezer bags. I'm a single person.

OMG! We’ve gotta be kin somehow! I just finished shepherds pies & lasagna freezer meals in the same containers. Then sat down to rest and peruse UA-cam when I found this video! My husband asked if I could put some breakfast burritos in the freezer since I was in a prepping mood. I’m doing them tomorrow but following your advice to under cook the eggs a bit!

What a great job! I had to modify the way that I meal prep because hubby is not a fan of "Freezer meals" so WE get in the kitchen on Sunday and cook a couple of meals. Then we portion them out to make lunch and dinner options for the week. Normally 2 entrees and 1 soup. It is such a great feeling not to have to cook every night after work.

I do Ruebans when corned beef comes out on St. Patty's day. Not with the sour kraut though. Frozen 2. Loaves with just the cheese and beef, I'll finish them off when I take them out of freezer.

I’m sorry I didn’t read through your hundred plus comments here so someone may have already mentioned this but you actually can pre-baked your pizza you make your Dow you par bake it then you add the sauce then you freeze it then you pull it back out at the cheese and toppings then put it back in the freezer and freeze completely then pull it out and wrap it up however, you can and then there you go, you have a prepped freezer pizza.

Great video. I make pizza like you did but I place them on parchment paper then on a sheet pan then sit that in the freezer for 30 minutes before placing In plastic bags and back in freezer.

Don't know about anyone else but I always reuse my freezer bags. Give them a good washing and they're good to go.

Would wax paper work to wrap the sandwiches, and the burritos? Or do they really have to be wrapped at all? I don't use plastic wrap.
I like to have 2 layers to help prevent freezer burn. You could do wax paper and a freezer bag, or wax paper and foil if you don’t use freezer bags🙂

I also just found you, and am so glad I did. I’ve always cooked regular meals, often made my own bread, desserts, etc., up until a couple of years ago, when my husband passed away. Then, I just lost my mojo for awhile. Too, my adult son lives with me, and he doesn’t always like what I like. I’m starting to want to cook again, so I think I’ll make some meals ahead for us when he doesn’t want the same thing I do. Seems to be a few of us here of the same age group. I’m 72. ❤️
