OMG Tammy I ❤you. I love hamburger helper but they don’t taste the same as they did when I was a kid, and the pasta turns too soft. I will definitely be trying these options soon. 😋
I love this because you can control the amount of sodium and you know what is in the mixture. Brilliant idea! Have you already made salad dressing mixes? I’m excited! New subbie!❤
I will definitely be making these! Especially the lasagna one! I have some mini lasagna noodles that I got from WinCo (or Trader Joe’s, I’ve seen them at both places). Hopefully I can use the same amount as your bow ties.
Firehouse Flavors is a company I buy flavored powders from for things like this. You can get tomato powder from them but also powdered balsamic vinegar, teriyaki, and Worcestershire sauce.
Lassgna hh is also my favorite. Loved the cheeseburger one as a kid but they changed the cheese in it some years back & I don't care for it now so I'm excited to try a homemade version. JUST made that cheeseburger one tonight for my Dad...right before this video came on 🙃.
I haven’t had any issues making this a week or 2 ahead and leaving it in the pantry. However, if you’re uncomfortable with it, you can always leave it out and just add it when you cook it😁
The lasagna I would eat within a week or two because of the Parmesan, but it would last much longer if you choose to leave it out and just add it when you cook it. The other 2 should be good for up to a year if they are stored correctly😁
Oh My Gosh!!! If you were right here I'd give you a big ol hug! I love this so much! I am a party of one and sometimes I get so sick of cooking for myself! Once I get these all made up it is going to make this old lady's life a whole lot easier & faster! You are a blessing! THANK YOU!! ❤❤
Would you say that there are 4 servings per jar? I’m guessing by the hamburger amount, if you mentioned and I missed it 😊please excuse my lack of attention. I want to make these for Christmas gifts for busy moms. Thanks for investing in me and mine ❤❤❤
I just found your channel about a month ago. I love all the mixes you make up. I try and cook mostly homemade meals so we don't eat all those chemicals they put in out food. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Great video! What I don't understand is why you first put the dry ingredients into a bowl and then poured it into the jar. Why not just measure it into the jar?! You seem like such a practical person! I have grown to sneer at presenters who use containers they don't need to use just to have things look good! Thanks again!
Thank you! I absolutely love the mixes you have taught me to prepare! This weekend, I had 35 people at my house for a pancake lunch and I already had 2 gallon jars of your pancake mixes so I was good to go! No prep time. Very helpful!
These look great Love listening to you. Makes me feel like we are hanging out in your kitchen drinking coffee or tea and just having a great time putting this together. ❤
Tammy I love these hamburger helpers can you possibly do the cheesy hashbrowns one that’s our favorite but I would rather make my own. Love your videos and recipes ❤
It’s been a very long time since I had or made it. But when I do make this I will have to use dairy free powder and the non fat milks. Thank you for the recipes.
Thank you for sharing these recipes. I was online looking for meals/gifts in a jar ideas as the notification for your video came up...yay for me, you saved me time not having to search thru and watching a bunch of videos because I think this will fit the bill for what I was hoping to find
Are you sure you're using 32 oz jars? I'm seeing quarts, which is 16 oz, unless the camera is really distorting it? I love the recipes and want to make some, but I have quarts and not half gallon jars available. :)
Great recipes. Only one I've ever made is stroganoff. Last time I bought it, horrible. Do you think buttermilk powder would be a good sub for the sour cream powder (my store does not have that)? Thinking of making this for a Christmas gift for my neighber/friend. Hi from a very cold Oregon.
Not sure it would make a huge difference since it’s such a small amount. I get mine from Amazon if you ever wanted to get some, but you could also just add sour cream to the recipe when you cook it😁
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest Thanks! Don't think I'd use much of the powdered sour cream but would use powdered buttermilk. Plus, want to give as complete gift.
I’m looking forward to trying these, esp the stroganoff. When ground beef is on sale, I but 3-4 chubs and cook it and then can it with beef broth in pint jars. What an easy dinner, shelf stable and quick. Thanks for sharing.

Lol thanks!😁😁
Just a note: if you put the noodles in first then add your sauce powders and seasonings, everything will fit better!
Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind 🙂
Mushroom powder would be a good addition.
It would😁
My daughter's family loves HHelper. This is wonderful!! I'll make it for her before xmas- she works 6 days a week! Love her!!❤
Perfect!😁
I love this because you can control the amount of sodium and you know what is in the mixture. Brilliant idea! Have you already made salad dressing mixes? I’m excited! New subbie!❤
Thank you and welcome to the family!😁

As long as they are roughly the same size, it should be fine. If not, just adjust the water😁
Firehouse Flavors is a company I buy flavored powders from for things like this. You can get tomato powder from them but also powdered balsamic vinegar, teriyaki, and Worcestershire sauce.
Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to look at those😁
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest check out their deals and Tuesday discounts. He also sends you samples!
Put the pasta in first. The seasoning mix will flow in down around the pasta. Giving you more room.
Someone else suggested that too. If I need the room, I’ll definitely try that😁

The lasagna is my favorite too😁😁
This is totally awesome!!! I don’t eat hamburger helper because it makes me sick so I am so very glad you made this video!! ❤
Glad it was helpful!😁
Doesn’t the Parmesan cheese need to be refrigerated? How long is the lasagna version shelf stable?
I was wondering about the cheese, too
I was wondering, too!
I haven’t had any issues making this a week or 2 ahead and leaving it in the pantry. However, if you’re uncomfortable with it, you can always leave it out and just add it when you cook it😁
Add some pickles, mustard and ketchup to top it off kid friendly. 😊
never had hamburger helper so this is my first taste of this infamous thing called hamburger helper 😂😊
Lol homemade is really good😁
What is the shelf life for these? Thank you!

Yum. I did grow up on HH but havent eaten it in years because of all the crap in them. Thanks for these dupes!! ❤😊
You are so welcome!😁

Thanks sis! I’m glad you like the creamers😁😁
So glad to have these recipes. My family loves Hamburger Helper. Another easy meal. Thanks!!
Glad you like them!😁
Oh yummy! 😋😋
I ❤ stroganoff, and lasagna so I'll definitely be making these for my pantry shelf. Thanks for sharing. ❤😊Nancy
Thank you! We love these😁

It will make about 4 servings. It’s the same as what you would get out of a box of hamburger helper😁
I use onion soup mix in my stroganoff instead of other seasoning.
And sometimes I add gravy mix with it.
Sounds great😁

Thanks! You can do it either way. I just like mixing it in a bowl🙂
These look amazing! Do you think ground turkey would work as well as ground beef?
I’m not Tammy😂, but ground turkey works just as well!!
Thanks! Absolutely you can use ground turkey😁
I have used turkey, pork, sausage, or chicken with HH, so I am sure they'll work here ❤
@ yep! Any of these will work😁
I can watch these homemade mixes videos endlessly! I hope you comtinue to do these type of videos
Thank you! More to come😁
Oh nice!! I can make up a bunch of these for those , "Oh crap!" days.
Yes!!🤣🤣

Love that! Thanks so much 😊
Thank you so much for these!! Could you please do a video on Chicken Helper too.
I will add it to my long list of requests 🙂
Where do u get that powdered sour cream at
I got it on Amazon 😁
I will have a bunch of these on my shelf now. Thank you.
Awesome!😁
Have you ever cooked this in a crockpot with the meat pre browned?
I have not tried it in the crockpot🙂
Thank you...I will definitely be making these too !! 🎄
Wonderful!😁
I love your videos, simple, basic and so yummy.
Thanks so much! 😊
And if you use barrilla high protein pasta, you can skip the meat since the pasta already has protein in it and it cooks up beautifully.
Great idea😁
Tammy I love these hamburger helpers can you possibly do the cheesy hashbrowns one that’s our favorite but I would rather make my own. Love your videos and recipes ❤
Thanks! I have a long list of requests lol. Hopefully I’ll get to them all at some point😁
Great recipes. Can’t wait to try all of them. My mother made a homemade cheeseburger hamburger helper and it’s one of my best comfort foods.
Thank you!😁
Love these. If I can fined the powder milk I may make for my eldest.
Thanks! I’m not sure where you’re at, but I find my powdered milk at Walmart. Most stores should have it😁
Wow I grew up eating HHelper but I don’t remember it looking so yummy. I’m definitely going to be adding these to my pantry
Thank you!😁
I used to cook these in the 80’s for nice yummy, quick dinners! My favorite was the beef stroganoff. Great make ahead recipes 😊👍
Thanks! I feel like things were so much less complicated years ago!😁😁
Yummy thanks for good jar dinners😊
Glad you like them!😁
Looks like another winner dinner to me. 😅😊
Yes!! They’re yummy!😁😁
Yummy Tammy. I can't wait to try these. Thanks for sharing your recipes. 🙂♥️
You are so welcome!😁
Simple ingredients for simple dinners. Fabulous!
Thanks!😁
You should do a cookbook with all these homemade recipes. I would definitely buy it!
Maybe one day!😁
Thank you so much, also, where are you from? I love listening to your accent!
Louisiana 😁
Yummy! Thank you, Tammy!
