    You know, it’s kind of refreshing to see someone like Becky set boundaries in terms of her child and what she is willing to share about her life. She shares so much but has her priorities straight in terms of those boundaries in my opinion. Just my two cents and no one has to agree with me. Have a good evening everyone.

    Came in just as I was thinking I should freeze prep some foods.
    When I make eggs for the English muffins and croissants, I use bell pepper slices to keep them round. So I slice them up (about an inch and a half) on, put them on the pan and then drop the egg inside the ring. And you don't have to buy kitchen gadgets for round eggs 😄 Provided it only works if you like bell peppers.

    You remind me of my sister and I in the 1980's.
    Always canning, storing and being prepared.
    I had 4 children all by cesarean.
    You have 9 months to prepare for the event and we did .
    Meals were prepared and frozen. Sandwiches made for the other kids and frozen as well. Pies were made, baked and frozen. Cookies etc..
    We also canned .
    We're so pleased to see another generation understanding the concept of preparing ahead for both need and convenience

    Cook your bacon on the convection setting. This will “even out” the cooking and you won’t have to rotate the pans. Also, if you are going to break the yoke on croissant eggs, do it when you first start cooking them. That way the yoke taste will spread out and you would get a more even yoke taste throughout the egg. Just some suggestions. I really enjoy your videos. Not sure why, but they bring a calming effect to my day.

This means you need to make a chart & write down what products are on each isle using the stores signs at the end of the isles. Quick shopping in the store & you get out faster without any back tracking.

    Did you know that is you take a gallon freezer bag and use a permanent marker to outline the croissant size you prefer it makes the shaping of sausages perfect for the length/girth of croissant ( I made mine color coded 😊 blue is small, black is med, Red is large like what you showed in this video) I get 9 sm, 6 med, 2 large patties. Slit the sides of the gallon bag.
    I do not like to handle raw meat and couldn't find a press to make big enough same shape patties. This works for me. Thought I'd share.

    Becky, there’s a thing that you can buy at like target or Walmart. A lot of people use it for draining dishes on, but it’s flat everything you can lay that under your cutting board and your cutting board won’t move and it’s not wet so it won’t damage your cutting board to help when you chop stuff and everything to keep it from slipping. Just a little helpful hint from a 65-year-old great grandmother.

    Have you ever thought of doing sausage and pancake on a stick? It uses the links and is covered in pancake batter. Can be dipped in syrup although I prefer them plain. Kids LOVE this and it makes an easy breakfast when made ahead and frozen.

We’re getting things out of our storage unit, and I’ve been going through them, as well as reorganizing my sewing room, so I’ve been blabbering for several days. 😂. • @AcreHomestead
      @AcreHomestead  Місяць тому +1

      We usually thaw a few of them at a time before we are going to cook them. We will have 2-4 of them thawed in the fridge on any given morning. Then we reheat them in the microwave in 30 second increments turning them over in between.
