    The"Beach Bunnies" on the thumbnail make an old man feel very grandfatherly.🌹.
    I'm old but I'm not dead...
    The young blood pressure is long gone so, it's appreciation instead of desire. 🤓 Makes life much better without any "complications"...🌹💖

    What never fails to amaze me is with the legions of detectorist combing every inch of the beach 24/7, that you find anything except pull tabs and bottle caps..
    You done good 👍.

    Hi There, Jim and James. That fifty cent piece was unusual, not to mention that money clip with content,, eh? I've heard of a lot of people placing phones found in water, into a container of rice for a few days to draw out the moisture. They say it works. Thanks for filming one of our beautiful California sunsets. Some may dislike Californians, but one could never dislike our sunsets. Right? : ) Take good care of that finger, Jim. You may need it. : ) Soak it in salt water, like the water you were play/working in. It's the oldest healing ingredient we have on our earth, except Love. Nor Cali Gal.

    That steel plate that you thought was a coin but was just a steel circle looked a lot like a knock-out from an metal electrical box. When laying pipe, electricians will knock those rings out to feed conduit (pipe) into the box which acts as the raceway for electrical wire.

    So I have never detected at a beach. I heard you say you were "scouting for structure". What are you looking for when you detect at the beach? What times do you want to go and where do you want to look? I would think dry sand is good too since thats where people sit.

    • @funwithjim
      @funwithjim  3 роки тому +3

      Yes beach structure changes almost daily, causing Cuts, Troughs, Rips, Points, Holes and Sandbars. I will show in an upcoming Tuesday Tutorial what beach structure I look for and why.

    Aloha Jim, I wonder if you will share what sort of tumbler you use and what medium do you use in to tumble coins. I like in Hawaii and do 98% beach hunting and I have a ton of coins I need to clean. I watch your videos and see that you use a tumbler...so thought I'd ask! Thanks so much!

    • @funwithjim

      I use a cheap double tumbler from Amazon with stainless steel jewelry cleaning media, toilet cleaner and warm water. I tumble for about an hour if they are really crusty.

    Been watching your videos and today it paid off. I had what was a solid 23 on my Vanquish 540. Those are usually a copper penny or an aluminum bottle cap, usually the latter. Today it turned out to be a silver Mexican 5 peso coin.

    Well how convenient. 100 + dollars in cash to pay the doctor for the stitches you will need. LOL Finding cash is an extra added bonus to an already profitable hobby. One day I found a 50 dollar bill folded in half just as I was starting to swing my detector. There it was staring at me from the ground's surface. I looked around slowly, bent down as if to tie my shoe and snatched it up to avoid any suspicion. LOL Happy Hunts. _/

    • @funwithjim
      @funwithjim  4 роки тому +5

      I love finding cash, I once was digging a coin spill and found several 100's and 20's in the sand scoop.
      let just say I cleaned the beach (like a mad man) around that area sifting through tons of sand. all together I found almost $500. Thanks for watching! 🍺

    I was in the other room, and I heard your theme song come on, and I immediately said out loud, Fun With Jim! So now I need to ask, since I’ve got it memorized by accident, where do you get the music? Is it your own original thing or a UA-cam thing? Getting ready to watch a video now! Your music called me back into the room! LOL

      Thank you for that information, it is hard for me to hear the signals without ear phones. So I will order a mic that I can put near my ear phones to see if that works. Thank you again, I love feedback like this, it makes me a better UA-camr.

      No I would say not, most people read the titles before selecting a video. I chose to show case Maya Gabeira and Amber Torrealba (both friends of mine) on my thumbnails at the beaches I was metal detecting and it had great results. I guess I need to introduce my thumbnails to everyone, Thank you for your comment, I grow by constructive criticism.
