I absolutely 💯 love the fact that you were chit chatting it up with the other detectors out on the beach. I bet you have become friends with them down there. That is so awesome 👌
Change and cheddar. That .50 cal bullet casing was fun to see. I found one on the east coast this week. Nice seeing the fellas scoring on the gold. Thanks for posting Jim 👍🏻
Awesome video 🤙🤙🤙 hope your healing. May God bless you and your beautiful family. 💙❤️🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏I totally enjoy watching you guys. Great group of friends. 👍👍👍👍
it was nice that you were so generous letting your buddies get the gold this video. Got a manticore which is a learning curve from the Nox 800 but once dialed in it is great.
What a fun video! I just love the excitement of what you find next! I would dig it and I think it's a delicate beautiful ring that you found with all your treasures! Thank you so much!
Great shots of the angry ocean! Here in southern Maine we don't get to see oil rigs or large ships when we go to the beach. Every once in a while we may see a cruise liner heading into Portland, though. Nice to see the "gang" all cheery! I would dig that small gold ring.
Hope you're healing. Big snow storm heading into town tonight in Idaho, so I'm hunkering down and watching fun sun, sand videos and wishing I was there. I would dig that shield nickle. Have a great day.
Nice hunt Jim, always good to not be digging 90 percent bottle caps. That ocean looked angry. I would dig it, gonna say a gold ring. Keep up the beep, good luck and happy hunting
@@funwithjim Well I know you don't always find gold, but you sure do find a lot of the yellow stuff and I know it's because you do your homework, and hit the best beach on any certain day. You have the formula, a good detector, a computer to help with research, and the skills. Add your experience and close proximity to the beach and walla, you are the King of Gold. Between you and Merrill, I have learned a lot and I do appreciate your videos.
@@funwithjim I know you work hard, it's not easy although you make it look easy. I know you use your knowledge and computer skills to make it look easy. I've learned a lot watching your videos which have brought me some of that luck too. My motto, just do it, so I am out there a lot hunting, mostly for silver though, silver coins.
I never, previously, would have thought of the surf " bringing stuff in " from further out. 🤦♂ Always thought that ' at the dunes ' and a few more yards out would be the better spots as that'd be most likely where people would lose items. " Every day's a school day " ~ Cheers, Jim. 😁 👍
During huge surf days causing great detecting conditions we layer out a beach, it may appear we a leaving holes but we are actually moving sand around digging out target rich areas. When complete we always fill our holes but most of the time we are getting chased out by the in coming tide. Thank You 👍
Hi Jim, the video was great as always!! I think that the dig it is a dollar coin! Keep up the rehabilitation process and you'll be back out there in no time!!!
WOW I wish I did not have all this Back Pain, I would be right down there with you and Mike. Would you did it Iam thinking it’s a Quarter. Was not able to go down and see the big waves. Great video Jim
Next time you will, I know I am going stir crazy not detecting due to my wrist but Mike and I will tandem dig tomorrow just to get out. a quarter is a fantastic answer, Thank you 🤙
Great job Jim! Was this dig after your surgery? I should probably finish watching the whole video before commenting....I'm bad about that! 🙄 Great gold!! 👍❤🙂
I normally don’t dig numbers in the 30’s on my Deus 2 but since you dug it I’m all in. I’m feeling a small gold cross. Thanks. Hope you are mending quickly. The numbers are so different from the 800 to the 900.
Congrats to the winner of last weeks GAW.. You had a very good clad sayon the beach and also congrats on your 10k gold ring.. Wicked. I would Guess on Would You dig it a Silver Quarter.
Hello Jim I never received the Gift card in email. Not sure if you sent it to the right one.. I did send an email to you on this. Just want to make sure things went through all right. and you yourself are not out the 25 by sending it to the wrong email..
Great video Jim and thanx for sharing. I often wondered as I'm from phila and by Jersey shore and whether there finding gold as I see people with detector's. Take care and Go Eagles.
We do find gold, west coasters have beaches that are busy year round. Recent storms bring the good stuff lost in the ocean, Hopefully anyways. I do dig a lot of bottle caps normally and I mean a lot! Thank you 🤙
I’m assuming your using the nox 800 for your would you dig it contest this week so I will say a silver dollar this go around. Thanks for putting out videos Jim.
Hi! Thanks for the interesting video. I am trying to find a tool like the one you use for digging and filtering the sound out. Did you actually buy it somewhere (please help me to locate it) or built it yourself? Thanks
looks like you used the nox 800 but unsure so if your using a nox 800 my guess is silver class ring. if its the nox 900 womans gold diamond ring. It's interesting to see the storm classify the targets for you and at least take away the light stuff.
Abit more challenging I am not so familiar with VDI but tone's seem to be similar and it's a guss but the numbers lead me to think it is a nickel and sound of the tone makes me think silver so I know how you like to use the old war nickel so silver war nickel would be my guess Jim.
Jim, I’m discouraged…lol…just kidding..hey quick question if you don’t mind..do you guys take lunch breaks when you are out there for all those hours? When we go, we are whipped after about 2 hours..we could never do it from sun up till sun down..ok I’m going to guess a silver ring..take care..
Great question, usually I carry water & snacks so I can dig all day. Though you have to go at your own pace, keeping it fun and enjoyable. Silver ring is a fantastic answer, Thank you 🤙
I fill all holes, but I use the technique of layering a beach. We leave holes open to expose deeper layers when the waves wash them out opening up new deeper layers or at times we have to dig next open holes to make the hole even larger as there are so many targets. So to answer your question we fill in our holes but not immediately like we normally would. Notice at the end of the night, I filled in my area. Mike was filling in his large holes and Bill had 3 open holes but was staying longer. Layering only works if you find a collection area, that day it was only about 40 yards wide. Thank you 🤙
I heard you mention something about a detector finding something good on HB...... That's a very rare occasion these days... That beach is invaded by an army of "swingers"...
Not to be RUDE but the word RARE on good stuff in HB are you kidding me, seriously. I find a lot of great stuff in HB every time out regardless of how many people are or have detected it. It is a huge beach but like I have always said, knowing your beach is the most important thing that way you know when and where to Hunt. FYI - I gently detected HB yesterday for almost 2 hours and I found Gold and Silver. I saw lots of dig holes left by other detectorists but still lots of targets.
Fun day at the beach. I recently detected a small beach (that I know is visited frequently) and pulled 35 bottle caps along with 10 quarters, 2 dimes, a nickel and a couple pennies. Did manage to hit the cycle, at least-and the beach is cleaner. Not bad (IMO) with my new detector. I would dig it: It's a dollar coin. Cheers
