Especially because it was such an awesome reaction. It made me remember why I love Gurren so much. You know if you have the time. Especially since you pump so many videos out. The Gundam Academy I agree with it being much more then a typical shonen and I don’t want to be that guy but....a show can technically be both shonen and mech at the same time as mech is a genre and shonen a target audience or age group so yeah I guess it could qualify for both

Man..hearing Simon full of life with a smile of self-confidence say *"Later Buddy"* as opposed to Kamina's last words being *"Later Buddy"* with a smile when his life ended... :')
Correction: Simon actually said "Let's go, buddy" in both the dub and sub version. This is a tribute to his statement "It's not goodbye, you are right here with me, aren't you?" as well as "My bro is dead, he's gone, but he's here in my heart, and here on my back", both in contrast of Kamina's final words as well as being a man who will forge his way through with valor and personality, but never forgetting the people that went through everything with him, dead or alive.
It’s crazy to think that the bond that Simon and Yoko share with Kamina is so powerful that he showed up to snap them out of something that’s literally impossible to break out of. That and spiral energy of course
I’ve really been looking forward to your reaction to seeing Kamina again, ever since you started watching the second arc. “That scene” always gets to me no matter how many times I watch it.
No this is exactly what the philosophy of the show is about. We shouldnt be restricting ourselves just in an attempt to survive. We should be achieving and drilling forwards, with freedom. Only with freedom can we make progress. These lockdowns are antispiral. The Spiral method would be to tell everyone the info, let them act for themselves, and work hard for a cure.
The moment I hear Kamina call out asking simon what the matter is brings me to tears, then once the soft tone of the music comes in it's over. Floodgates engage.
Poisonedzero I have but the ending of the second movie is the most ridiculously large scale battle outside of Demonbane and seeing that kind of scale animated exemplifies everything this series is about. Plus it makes the end of the anime seem small in comparison. That's really saying something.
@@zeroattentiongaming820 i have never seen demonbane, but how does it get bigger than the entire universe (which is how large gurren laggan becomes in the movie) because at the end of the 2nd movie the mech is as large as everything in existence at once

Knowing when your time is done and when to step aside for the next generation could prevent the overgrowth of spiral powers.
Basically, the Anti-Spirals use an artificial universe they've created to construct places where they can both exist and not exist at the same time, so that they can attack from anywhere at any time without anyone being able to detect them before they come into being. I love this series, I really do
Now you have to go back and rewatch it! There's a ton of stuff that you can only pick up the second time around because you don't have the context until you finish the series.
No one's gonna question why leon still looks so fabulous after 20 years?
He is beast man, so he is immortal, but he cant have children
Squad up! Man this anime is still one of the greatest too me. My Top anime is now 1. Gurren Lagann, 2. Hokuto no Ken, 3. Slayers.
There has never been a man like kamina after that anime to this FUCKING DAY
