What I love about Kittan is that he felt like a downgrade to Simom and Kamina that was his struggle. Because of this he felt obsolete and irrelevant, but here he finally embraces his mediocracy and becomes his own individual. He goes out on his own terms, he gives his own speech, and instead of pointing to the heavens like Kamina and Simon, he instead reaches to grab it. A perfect end for such an amazing character.

this is hands down my favorite anime episode, i never felt that kinda hype before watching this
The entire setup up to Chouginga Gurren Lagann rising from the sea is so well constructed, I still get goosebumps from how badass it is

Also I love how destroying that anti-spiral core thing was really almost impossible. They go to destroy it, Simon wasn't enough then Boota saves the day, then the missles still aren't enough, then Kittan do a suicide mission and still it's not enough, it was only enough when he did the impossible surviving in his tiny basic gunmen doing something only someone with a lagaan is supposed to be able to do, just from sheer will. Kittan had the most impressive death of all the characters.

For me, Kamina's legacy is split among Kittan and Simon, both of them grew up to be total badass.

at the end, Kittan awaken his spiral power, seeing the Drill become one with his Gunmen and can expand too like what Kamina and Simon do.
so yeah, its indeed his own power, not from selfishness....

I appreciate your efforts, but I wish you would just stick to one language for the anime. Playing both the Japanese and English at the same time is very distracting.
