Kitan had one of the most badass exits in anime. Just thinking about it gives me chills.

@@Renkencenhoping they see the movie versions later with them have English dub now since studio trigger staff got the rights back.
If ppl didn’t know: to shorten it pretty much after staff from gainax left to form trigger they wanted gurren lagann and panty & stocking rights. LONG time it took since about 2010 but 2022 they got them and 2023 announced new season of p&s and release of the gurren lagann films in dub, limited theater release earlier this year and blu ray release.
Hoping if fan voice is strong we may see new gurren lagann stuff down the road since that seems the plan on why they wanted the rights to them.

For context the reason for all the anti spiral's theatrics, is to induce maxium despair. So that after they destroy them, they wont try to do it again.
You guys should definitely try to find and watch the second movie for this, the final fight that happens is 100x better than the one in the show, The shows is still amazing but the movies is insane
