I can't believe you're the only one that's done this on UA-cam... it was one of the first things I did after I got my Road King looking down in traffic at speeds is such an accident. waiting to happen. I cut out a piece of metal painted gloss black... it only stuck above the the handlebar bolt cover about 3/8 of an inch and then two sided taped it on so I can remove it later if I sell the bike.
Good question. This was one of the things that worried me. Not too bright at all. The LEDs I got (off ebay) were quite small to start with and then the resistor also stops them being too bright.
what are the 2 switched just below your turn signal lights for? the 2 black switched on the handlebars just in front of the fuel tank. I know the right one turns on and off the 2 headlights to either side of the main headlight but what is the one on the left for? mine does not stay up or down but rather returns to the center position when release.
The switch on the left is called an 'accessory' switch which doesn't normally do anything. I have it attached to a parade fan on the motor. You can wire other stuff up to it.
@@motorbikestuff594 Thank you. I have these 2 switches on my roak king and have been trying to figure out what it was for. it was driving me crazy. lmao.

Update on my comment yesterday regarding the resistor. I've now managed to get the Led's on ebay pre wired for 12v with resistor. Nice and easy.
david mc donagh great result! The actual answer can be worked out by using a couple of simple formulae.
I’ve got to do something like this for my ‘18 Heritage.
Thanks for the vid, great idea and work. Are they too bright at night?
