Hi there! This is Dr. Crystal Nix, DC, CAc. It was such a joy getting to work with you, Dr. Mondragon! You did wonderfully allowing yourself to relax and let yourself get treated. It was such a delight getting to meet you and Linea. You guys are an AMAZING team! Thank you for sharing the wonderful ways chiropractic and other natural treatments can make such a powerful difference. You're making a beautiful difference on our community and in this world!
@@calhounvlogs, It's an honor that you feel this way. Thankfully, the intention of this Healing and Wisdom channel is to bridge our gap, so you and I are connected and you can experience some of the healing, freedom, and love we share here.
I want to thank Dr. Nix for allowing us to film my treatment. I have always been fascinated by ancient Chinese medicine, and I wanted a local, licensed colleague to work on me. I must say, I was VERY skeptical when I started, and Dr. Nix knew this 😂. She treated me anyway and is truly one of the sweetest practitioners I have met. It took a few days afterwords to feel the aftereffects and I must say - it is a VERY powerful treatment. I felt very energized afterwords. I would highly recommend this treatment to people that are in search of a more gentle approach than my "aggressive" style 🙌. Great to see different techniques of acupuncture. Very relaxing here. Mine wasnt so much, but I did feel so much better after. (I had deep knot acupuncture in my bum cheek after I broke my coccyx) defo trying this. Thanks for sharing the experience 💜
I love this, I did some acupuncture and dry needling last week on my SI Joint area. It made a huge difference having this and my chiropractic work in tandem.
I love acupuncture! The ones on the face don’t really hurt unless you get them on your cheek bones for your sinuses when they’re blocked, like during allergy season. I used to fall asleep except when I had the treatments that put electricity through the needles. It was an upgraded pain management nerve treatment. It wasn’t painful but it wasn’t relaxing either.
These are such detailed exams and checks. I’ve done both acupuncture and chiropractor but never both together. And neither have done such a great exam. I wish I had a detailed and longer process. Usually they are just quick.
It is fun knowing how tall people are that we watch on videos. I don't know why but it is. I always thought Joyce Meyer was 6 ft tall but she's actually far from it. I stood next to someone that stood next to her on stage at one of her conferences. Have an awesum day!
I was getting acupuncture to treat my migraines. They didn’t disappear but they did change. Granted I wasn’t able to get many sessions in before I lost my job/insurance. But when modern medicine fails you need to be open to other options. Pain is relative to each person but I had a few sensitive spots and slight pain during treatment because I had the electrical kind.
Soo cool...Tht neuroemotional chart tht she briefly spoke of in the beginning, sounds so fascinating!!! Who knew suppressed grief would cause soo much pain.
As a therapist who mixes TCM - Tui Na and acupuncture, with osteopathic treatments in the UK, this was great to see. Some of the treatment looked quite similar in approach to Mctimoney Chiropractic. You should maybe look at Tit Tar as well.
I had acupuncture for a bulging disc (it helped relieve the pain for a while) and the ankle ones were like an electric shock. Couldn’t feel pain from any of the others.
This is lovely for Dr. Brenda Mondragon and she deserves this for herself. Congratulations!!!!!! 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😊💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞😉💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Thank you for doing a video with activator therapy, acupuncture and essential oils !!!! It's all good and has it's place with maintaining and healing our bodies !!!!
My acupuncturist uses electrical leads hooked up to each needle that sends a small amount of electricity to the area that the needle is embedded into. It doesn't hurt and I prefer electric pulse versus a heat lamp. For me, the heat lamp does nothing, but the electric puts me to sleep every time.
mine would use the lamp and for me was awesome, relaxing and really feel like it was working, but with my dad he used the electrical stuff in and specific point bc it was needed in that spot so I guess there is a reason why to use one or the other (:
It’s always interesting to see Dr Mondragon do videos with other Doctors exploring alternate treatments. I’ve had acupuncture for a specific injured area but not this overall meridian treatment. Interesting
I didn't realize how much I miss the roller table from my old chiro until I saw and heard it here. That thing used to beat the crap out of me, in a good way...
I did acupuncture for 2 1/2 years it was great also had sometimes 30 needles in my back and then sun down the legs and arms and neck and shoulders that then after while she moved out of town and relocated somewhere else
this testing treatments journey is really interesting. have you ever tried cupping therapy? it's also an oriental treatment that might be interesting to try out. Anyway thank you for sharing your journey doctor!
I really hope people aren't disrespectful about this medical practice. Even in Western medicine, they recognise that emotional strain can manifest itself physically.
Looking forward to watching it later 😁 still working & have my children along side me, so after their bedtime I am so settling down and watching it 💜 xx
I had a very hard time with acupuncture. It was extremely painful for me. Especially in my hands, I couldn't stand to move ANY joints I thought I would faint. Extreme pressure and stabbing. It never passed for me. I have multiple auto immune diseases. I have a high pain tolerance and have 0 fear of needles.
"I feel... a ball." This woman is legit. I've been a tai chi practitioner for 15 years and it's definitely something that a traditional "Western" education defies wrapping its head around. I'd encourage anyone to give Eastern healing techniques a chance and see if it can help with their health.
I wanna go see drs like that..smh I make min wage save up try to go but sadly 10 min later apt over ..and I'm lighter alot of money..I think I got more from my elderly residents at my job (or well ment hip rubs for siatica for free than when I went to a doctor lol..you guys are both awesome. I'd save every penny I could scrape together to get treated for pain by either one of you professional. The doc I went to for siatica said I needed physical therapy..and was upset when I said oh ok..we have one on site at my job for elderly people in our agigilty program. Just send HER my my paperwork.. ..she will take care of my physical therapy. I guess she didn't consider her a " real" practicing therapist..but thanks to her , I atleast get some pain relief. ( Stretches , pillows, and breathing exercises..( I hold my breath when I hurt) kudos to you that actually care about people. You guys are awesome. I'm saving up to so I can get an appointment and follow up care soon.
I was just watching her videos and then realized by staring at the comments that your area is only 30 minutes away. I’m trying to get my 80+ grandma to go who’s never got cracked before. But is there a certain age limit to this?
@@MondragonChiropractic thoughts on how they connect organs to areas on your appendages? Always thought it was strange how in acupuncture / gori gori they say they're affecting your eyes whilst massaging your big toe for example 😊
How do you NOT flinch when she adjusts the needles???? OMW......for me, every needle adjustment feels like an electric shock going through me. My body must be totally screwed 🙃
That's actually not a negative thing according to my very limited knowledge, all that that means (I think, i'm not an accupuncturist) is that there's a lot of energy flowing when those adjustments occur.
We are the exact same height! I always thought you were taller (around 5ft 8'), but I guess I am just so used to seeing shorter women on film and videos. Also, I am likely going to name my son (due in 2 weeks) Lochlan! My husband loved the name and I was on the fence. It was hearing the way it sounded when you said it that started turning me around :)
I wish that I could find a chiropractor of your quality and depth in my area of coastal plains NC. I've been seen by several over the years, but its like "Wham Bam Thank You Mame" visits. My wife and I usually go together and we spend probably 3-4 minutes each on our Dr.'s adjustment table and then out the door. No depth of service.
me watching when dr. Crystal Nix meedling 20(?) needles, when i'm studing acupuncture style, when we needling 1 to 5 needles and thinking "why you spread Qi for so many points?", ugh... but ok, I single needling isn't so spactacular to see ;)especially on you tube :)

Accupuncture saved my sanity while having chemo and. Dealing with the side effects of the medication and sudden menopause. Definitely a good solution
I definitely agree. Acupuncture has such soothing benefits for emotional and hormonal imbalances. SO glad it worked well for you!
