    I want to thank Dr. Nix for allowing us to film my treatment. I have always been fascinated by ancient Chinese medicine, and I wanted a local, licensed colleague to work on me. I must say, I was VERY skeptical when I started, and Dr. Nix knew this 😂. She treated me anyway and is truly one of the sweetest practitioners I have met. It took a few days afterwords to feel the aftereffects and I must say - it is a VERY powerful treatment. I felt very energized afterwords. I would highly recommend this treatment to people that are in search of a more gentle approach than my "aggressive" style 🙌. I was getting acupuncture to treat my migraines. They didn’t disappear but they did change. Granted I wasn’t able to get many sessions in before I lost my job/insurance. But when modern medicine fails you need to be open to other options. Pain is relative to each person but I had a few sensitive spots and slight pain during treatment because I had the electrical kind.

  • @betsysanders4524
    @betsysanders4524 3 роки тому +53

    I love acupuncture! The ones on the face don’t really hurt unless you get them on your cheek bones for your sinuses when they’re blocked, like during allergy season. I used to fall asleep except when I had the treatments that put electricity through the needles. It was an upgraded pain management nerve treatment. It wasn’t painful but it wasn’t relaxing either.

    My acupuncturist uses electrical leads hooked up to each needle that sends a small amount of electricity to the area that the needle is embedded into. It doesn't hurt and I prefer electric pulse versus a heat lamp. For me, the heat lamp does nothing, but the electric puts me to sleep every time.

    • @yanara1574

I'd save every penny I could scrape together to get treated for pain by either one of you professional. The doc I went to for siatica said I needed physical therapy..and was upset when I said oh ok..we have one on site at my job for elderly people in our agigilty program. Just send HER my my paperwork.. ..she will take care of my physical therapy. I guess she didn't consider her a " real" practicing therapist..but thanks to her , I atleast get some pain relief. My Chiro in New Zealand does Muscle testing and uses the activator. Has been checking my kids who are 11 and 9 since they were 1 week old.

    I wish that I could find a chiropractor of your quality and depth in my area of coastal plains NC. I've been seen by several over the years, but its like "Wham Bam Thank You Mame" visits. My wife and I usually go together and we spend probably 3-4 minutes each on our Dr.'s adjustment table and then out the door. No depth of service.

    thanks for a very informative vid doc, for a future vid idea can it be you getting treatment from an osteopath so we can see the difference between that and a chiropractor?

    I was somewhat familiar with acupuncture but this showed that it was much more complex than I had assumed.

    Does the activator actually work as well as a manual adjustment ?

    • @healingandwisdom9120
      @healingandwisdom9120 3 роки тому +3

      It actually does. It feels different than a manual adjustment, but provides alignment to the spine and extremities just like manual adjusting does. Everyone has different preferences in how they prefer to be adjusted, so it is a gentle option for people who have reservations about manual adjusting.

    I should inform you that we practicly do not have chiropractors in Greece.
    Verry verry few.
    (we only have useless physiotherapists)

    I love acupuncture, but I don’t think this woman knows what she is doing. There’s a difference between a licensed acupuncture with over 3,000 hours of training and a DC/MD/PT who took a weekend course in needling.
