Wowww I am in awe of you!
I am not a Muslim, but I am a woman. An African woman. A mother, married but not happy. Lost my mom when I was young, I can relate, so I listened very intently!
    I learned a lot!
I love what your father said, about a man who puts his hand on his wife!
Electronics, Infidelity, pornography and disrespectful spouse is my reason for divorce!
I already know I want to get divorced. And had put in my mind that I don’t want to ever get married again.
I am sorry your kids were taken away from you, but I am glad you did not give up.
You are a hero in my book! Its not easy talking about what you went through, especially coming from a culture that sees what you doing negatively!
But rest assured, you are helping thousands of people!
One thing I would add, for anyone planning to leave an abusive or unhappy marriage must have a plan👍🏽.
More power to you! Stay blessed!
    Your sister from another mother😍

Good wording and exactly true “”” don’t have the courage to stand up for themselves “”. If they do stand up it’s a shame on their families so they remain silent and carry on suffering and deteriorating their mental health have more children and make more mess of things there is a reason why sone don’t stand up for themselves as well no courage and scared of being alone no job no family parents support or no shelter from parents society shame struggling with less money too much too soon to handle no parents home to go and stay to clear head and make clear decisions discussing options so they just carry on with east options on auto pilot survival mode east way forward not taught how to fight just taught how to cover shame from society what other think not what your going through as a human with feelings not just because your a girl

@@alilondon that is why the African government should do something about it e.g building shelters for these kind of women. These women are afraid of leaving the so called marriage 💑 because they are going to be rejected by their parents and they don't have no way else to turn to for help, hence the women remain in this 'slavery' called marriage.

I understand because after a bad marital experience you get shut down emotionally, socially and physically. But you must remind yourself that good men do exist. It becomes hard to trust again. Have a open heart because you would not want your past to smudge and spoil a great marriage that is possible with someone else. Work on your mind and pray. Don't let one bad apple to spoil the rest, dispose of the bad one in order to preserve the good ones.

What she went through is called narcissistic abuse. It is the worst you could ever ever deal with. I am a victim of this abuse and I have been in this nightmare for 6 years. The financial and the emotional abuse is the worst as well as the silent treatment. Narcissists enjoy inflicting pain on you by abandoning you and treating you like a garbage. It is very painful experience and I am still grieving. 💔😢

Saida, you're just an amazing woman, you've gone through hell and back but still very strong and courageous to explain what's our sisters are going through at our backyard. I think it's high time for our communities from northern kenya to change this tradition of suppressing women's and girls and remove this obstacles between them and their future dreams. This tradition may date back centuries but has no place in 21st century.

You are talking like white person, very amazing isn't it but again you didn't look at the mirror before calling an entire peoples culture retrogressive. This woman is from Kenyan Congolese colonized Somali region which the British carved it in to what they called Kenya and it is unfortunate and it is the reason why they are less worthy to you but let me tell this though am Somali from easterly corner on the Arabian sea am not even African and This part of Somali is not even Africa but let me assure you we are coming to free this people accupied by Kenyan Bantu Congolese time is what matters.
