I know you're getting a lot of hate in the comments, so I just want to say at the end of the day, you are correct: "people evolve and change.." and it's a very personal decision. For those that are struggling to be off their phones more and don't require or desire a constant connection I 100% agree with you. I have the 7 and while I love it for various reasons like fitness, I no longer want to be connected 24/7. Those that do, well, it's a great addition for constant connection or those that can't have phones out at their place of work, have kids in sports and you don't want to miss a "we're done early.. can you come get me.." text ha ha, elderly parents, etc. No shame! :)
I disagree due to the fact with my job I can’t physically have a phone on me and having an apple watch makes things easier where i still get notifications through my apple watch while out in the field working
Thanks for this info, I've been on the fence about buying an Apple Watch, and I haven't had one since they release and haven't really found a need for one. I already own a Casio G-Shock as a casual every day watch that's solar powered so I never need to replace the battery, and a Tissot mechanical watch for my formal option.
Apple Watches in my opinion are only worth buying IF YOU WORK OUT A LOT. I am a runner and using an Apple Watch instead of a phone is amazing. It is able to track where I run, how fast I’m going, and how many miles I run all without being connected to my phone or the internet. You can see other health related stats like calories, steps etc. of course it’s helpful getting notifications straight from your wrist but if you are not using it to work out I do not recommend. Trust me.
I appreciate your video. I’ve been on the fence because I feel like I don’t “really need it.” And I run a lot, and for me, having my heart rate and current running pace is the main reason I want it. But I can instead listen to my body and just enjoy my run. Apple will hate this video, but I applaud you 🙏
I agree I hate charging it every night. I got the amazfit bip 5 watch which last almost 2 weeks without charging every night. I also get notifications and workout and also sleep info.
I have been a devoted wearer of standard watches for 50 years. I have been considering making a change to the Apple Watch, but have concluded that it just is of very little useful value. I enjoy using my iPhone, so that covers my communication needs. I just do not need another thing to charge, especially EVERY day. The Apple Watch is cool, but not really worth it if you have an iPhone AND wear normal watches. Just my opinion.
I completely agree with you. My husband gifted me a series 9 and I dont think its really helpful. I need to charge it every single day. My phone wont alarm because of the applewatch. The workout monitor is not accurate. The walking monitor keeps asking if im still walking etc... Its not worth the money overall!
Funny. Agree completely. My friend brought me a real watch. Since she didn’t like a computer on my wrist. A real watch is attractive. Live in the moment. So going out …..wear a real watch. Wear a iwatch when you are at the gym or at home running errands.
I've been thinking about getting one but I was doubtful about it's utility. On your uses: 1. Any watch or no watch (jyst phone) can tell the time. 2. It doesn't look as good as a nice automatic watch. 3. I can get notifications straight from my phone. 4. I'm a cyclist and usexa bike mounted computer to monitor everything including HR and power when I train 3 or 4 hours each day. Verdict: it's not going to be better than any of the options I currently have. If it was $100 then I still do not think it would be a good investment for me.
Any recommendations on a smart band? I just use my Apple watch for fitness so you're right about the smart band. Also, does Fitness + still work without a watch?
You don’t tell the most important thing about your first reason. The accuracy in time is the best. I have also mechanical watches that I have to wind it regularly and they are not accurate as the Apple Watch. Even quartz watches are loosing some seconds in a month.
So twice a year set your quartz watch again. The time it takes to do that will be similar to the time it takes to put your Apple Watch on the charger, except you only do it twice a year instead of 365 times a year.
Couldnt disagree more. Leaving the house with literally just my watch and airpods...no wallet or phone...but still able to take calls, listen to music/podcasts, use apple pay and also use the 100 other functions... all with just the watch. .its a game changer. You can literally turn notifications off you know.
wrong. watch gets dead after 3 hours of constant use and the price is too much man. dedicated devices are better than devices with all features crammed in, a watch as a time teller is the best.
@@notfamous221 why don't you just not wear a watch at all buddy and yeah look at the sun. and shadows foir your time....thats free and yeah lasts for hours
One day we’ll get there but the Apple Watch isn’t good enough yet. You still need ID which means it doesn’t replace your wallet. And the battery is unacceptable. Especially since they want it to be a sleep tracker which means you’re never not wearing it. Just not there yet.
People really are tribal over everything in life. It’s a watch, guys. If you like it use it. There are tons of us out there that have different lifestyles and different opinions on things. Not every video is going to tell you what YOU want to hear. Who cares? Make your own choice why you getting upset that other people don’t think exactly like you do?
I disagree with your opinion of not needing an Apple Watch as it makes my life so much easier as I could quickly glance at my notifications without taking out my phone If I want to disconnect from the internet I could just leave my phone behind as I won’t receive notifications on the watch since it is not a cellular model It also encourages me to close my rings which is a great deal here as I could earn vouchers by doing that. You also mentioned about using other cheaper fitness trackers that is simply not the case for me as those called “cheap fitness trackers “ simply does not workout for me as I found them very uncomfortable to wear I don’t know why is that the case maybe because they are made of a less expensive materials. Apple Watch’s also have other third party bands so if you find apples bands are too expensive you can buy third party bands unlike other fitness trackers
Look I wear my smartwatch when I work out. But I’m gonna be honest if your an adult and you have an adult function and are wearing a suit or even business suits my god never ever ever wear a damn smart watch. I’m sorry you will never catch me in a suit wearing a smartwatch. That’s grown man advice there. I’m sorry maybe the new generation likes to wear them, but any respected man will not wear one in a formal setting.
I was on the fence, and this helped me decide to hold off on purchasing one of these. Thanks for the honesty!
Same. I wasn’t sure what the Apple Watch really was for and now I see that it would it be a waste of money for me.
I had an Apple Watch 2 back in the day. Never found a purpose for it… trying to find one again, but can’t.
If you had one you could get a notification that I just replied to you, though.

Its the daily charging that stops me switching over from fitbit, which lasts a week on a charge.
I agree with your take on this... been using an apple watch for a week and i'm not sure its a necessity
The apple watch Ultra /2 has several compatible bands and different cases in colors. It can be customized for any occasion.
Very objective review. Thanks.
Thank you for your Apple Watch video, it was very informative video
Very much true! Eye opening ❤
Some reason, it is really expensive.

Yes I need
I agree with a lot of what you said!
I need an apple watch but I think the series 7 is the best way to go
I would have to agree with that. can do what the 8 and 9 can do for much cheaper now.
Yes I need one
Excellent video 👍
It was a very sincer video thank YOU

Stainless steel
he probably referred to the fitbit, but I don’t think they seamlessly integrate with an iPhone
Could you create a video about iPhone user buyer guide 2023-2024?

Great points. What would you recommend for someone who just wants the exercise monitor
I disagree. I need my ultra. I want to be connected. I enjoy using it. Very helpful.

Jusr the video i need!
Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need.
Concordo!

you can turn notifications off until at night.
Can the Apple Watch sendo audio messages in whatsapp chat?
Agree
Apple Watches are too small. Including the ultra.
Seems like it’s ur issue since u didn’t even use the watch for sleep and u don’t know to how to manage notifications on watch 🤦♂️
Pls I need one
Ans to your thumbnail question : no i dont need/want an apple watch.
I really rather have my iPhone instead of the Watch lol 😂.
waste of money
TOTALLY NOT !!!!!!

Stop feeding this negative energy to your viewers, they created focus modes for a reason 😒

agreed, great video!
