i can take a shower and stop water from getting into my watch. I rather have the watch than the gadget that says "I fallen and I can't get up"
MikeOBrienMedia I did look on website and end of this year on September it’s will series 9 coming out next

When my cardiologist saw the ECG that I ran when I had a tachycardia event, he knew at once it was NOT AFib, but a different condition called AVNRT. He did a procedure on me a week later and fixed the problem, thanks Apple!
wow
that’s amazing I hope you’re doing well
Same thing here dude! No one believed me when I would say my heart would race just randomly, got the Apple watch 6 and it got a few readings of my episodes. Took these to my doctor and got a patch monitor on and clocked my heart at 280 bpm during an episode. That was enough to say I had SVT. Got an ablation from there and everything has been crystal smooth since.
Apple really out here saving lives with WATCHES
At nodal reentrant tachycardia or SVT :)
Got the Series 8 today and this video couldn’t have come at a better time
Enjoy!
As someone who was in an accident, when I was 24 years old, this video really helped me, especially where I can use my watch with just one hand with the gestures and the pinches it’ll take me a while to get used to, but I really appreciate this video. Thank you.
im sorry that you got in an accident.
Thank you, Mike. I'm pretty sure people would find these tips and tricks handy!
Really useful tips. Thanks. I’d love to change notification tones for different apps so my Instacart notification doesn’t sound like one of my texting apps. Any suggestions?
Woah. These are great but it needs a link to a written version cause I have no idea how to actually set up the quick actions for example.
Thank you for making this useful video! I just got my SE 2 yesterday, and these tips are working out like wonders! Sometimes I thought you can't change the honeycomb view, but now I know that you can! Thank you very much for making this video!
Thank you I have been wanting to upgrade my series 5 watch. It’s amazing the att store hardly know anything about the watches. We appreciate you. Thanks for the help. I bought the 8 Friday. Love it so far.
Been using screen shots ever since. The timer and flashlight are my favorite and finding my iphone. Of course getting calls and being able to adjust the volume of media being played.
How do you turn on the vibrations to alert you to turn a corner please?
Just got my series 8 today Feb 28, ‘23. So I really appreciate your helpful tips 😊
Mike, how is it going with the Pixel after these months? are you missing your iphone / aWatch?
This is the best explanation I have ever come across and I certainly have learnt a lot. Didn't know most of things you described in your video. Well done ! Please keep it up as I learnt a lot today from your video
One tips that I usually see about Apple Watch when it comes to text messaging is using its small keyboard. There’s a better and easy way to write text on Apple Watch: dictation. I always use dictation. Way faster and convenient than to type manually on the small keyboard.
Great too because I can’t use the small one
Me too
i’ve had all the apple watches and used dictation so actually using the keyboard is actually pretty nice i dont like dictation at all i’d much rather use the keyboard to type
Why would you type when you can use the Swype feature? wtf
well the small keyboard only comes with the newer end of apple watches
I use the screenshot feature often when I take headache meds and need to remember exactly when I took them but can’t make an actual note of it. The screenshot is so useful for that.
How do you do a screenshot?
Liked your objective review. Got my Ultra yesterday and have it setup pretty well but can’t find how to have the top face complication show while compass ring is displayed. Any help?
Great video. I found the shortcuts for Notes app aren’t running from the watch anymore. Did you find this also? Any work around?
Thank you for all your great tips.I was wondering how do I go from a list view with my icons to honeycomb grid.Thank you.
This is great, I just got an apple watch for the first time, thanks for the tips!
Thanks for all these tips Mike it has really helped me. For more tips….what about the fall function and the call emergency function..this is the first reason I bought my watch.
Are these features applicable with Watch SE or just series 8 & ultra ?
Hey there, great video. I just got the series 8 but can’t get any cardio data working. Could you please do a video on it?
THANK YOU! I just got my Ultra yesterday, and your video is fabulous 🎉
I really appreciate the coordination between my I watch and iPhone. I set my phone to ring silently, so that numbers that are not in my contact list don’t ring, but the caller can leave a message. I also call all numbers back. If it is busy or doesn’t answer, it’s a Robo call.
Any idea how to prevent my heart rate counter on the exercise apps from fading out? When I’m exercising and want to check my HR, the number blackens out and isn’t current so I have no idea how fast it is. I have the Apple SE watch. Thanks
Thank you so much for all the tips!! So useful i just got my Se 2nd Gen. Thumbs up!!🎉👍🏻
Hi Mike, I cant seem to figures this out. I have the California watch face. When the wrist is down it shows a form of the watch face. Can that change?
Thanks for all the great tips! Just got my Apple Watch yesterday! This thing does quite a bit! It's awesome!
appreciate this video & the time involved Mike. Just got my 8 series watch & learned a lot of new tips/tricks in this video.
I’m not finding anything about what you said on my own watch, but would it be under touch accommodations? I will check now to find out. The only thing I get here, after turning touch accommodations on, is a message saying that if you have trouble using the touchscreen, adjust the following options… However, the options are not shown. I’ll try going back and finding out what options they would be. It might not be available on my watch, or in my region even. Seems pretty futuristic, so. sorry, but I’m afraid to comment is no good here. I don’t have that feature available. I guess on this version of my Apple Watch is that or in my region in the United States, Missouri.
This was a very useful video, thank you. One feature I am unable to perform is unlocking the MacBook Pro with the Apple Watch SE. can you provide a few more details on how to do this? When I follow the steps you posted, my Apple Watch did not appear in Security & Privacy. Thank you
I had this issue too and even googling it did not help. I am up to date with my macbook pro and the watch.
Enjoyed the video. Btw, I am looking into maybe buying the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, but I couldn't find a video of yours where you compare them to the Pixel Buds Pro
Get them. I got them and use them with my iPhone. They sound great and stay in my ears with no issues.
The transfer of calls from watch to iPhone worked on my watch 8 but on my wife’s 8 cellular the options were not there.
Just got a new iwatch series SE first gen as my first Apple Watch. Great video
I got the series 5 unfortunately ECG is not supported in my region 😅 smart choice
How do u connect the ear pods to your watch
Thank you for this. Also, I hope your trip to my country was enjoyable! I live in the US now but I often travel to visit family and friends.
I have a series 5 watch and would like to have a keyboard that I don’t have to pay for. Any ideas? Thanks for the great video! 😊
I am sorry, could you please advice how can I turn Always On my apple watch series 9 that it always shows the minimal info (e.g. time) even if the watch is not in my wrist. Will be grateful.
Hi. So glad you’re iWatch literate. I can’t understand why I can get my heart rate but it never indicates my resting heart rate or walking average BPM. I’ve tried everything as well as watching other videos. Nobody is talking about this feature. Help please. Thanks
Also, the apple watches have a wheelchair mode which I think is awesome. They actually remembered us
The fact that it factors in the elevation in regards to pushing/strength exerted instead of just loosely counting pushes genuinely makes my life better. Telling you to roll instead of stand up every hour is a nice little touch
One question. You may have already answered before. How do I stop the watch thinks that I have stopped my work out and stopped tracking the milage (say, walking out door) when I stopped to have a conversation with people. Thanks.
noise notifications for me doesnt make a lot of sense...i am glad that someone finds it useful! but when its loud...i know its loud))
No19 is my fav!! Can't wait to get an aw and enhance it the way you've shown us!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I learned a lot and excited to use the features. Checking out the apps you suggest, now!
I would love to see timestamps on this video!
Very useful video! I have an iPhone XR and I'm thinking about buying an apple watch SE model, and I'm wondering if the said model can really take photos, as you mentioned in trick number two( 1:15 )? A professional answer would help me a lot
Yes it can
Great tips! I learned a lot. I’m trying to find a function or app that will remind me with a haptic tap to help me form a new habit. For instance, if I want to work on my posture, it would be great if it tapped me once every 30 minutes. I could set an alarm, but it’s inconvenient to turn it off.
Cool! I don't have the watch mirroring thing option in Accessiblity...I have the latest iphone and update?
I just got the s8 and this video is perfect because I don’t even know what to do with it.
If you don’t use the honeycomb and want to use the list how do i stop it from going back to the first app when I’m somewhere on say sleep app is there a way to change it? I had a series 7 now upgraded to 9
Can you add backpack weight to any workout on Apple Watch? The Hiking Workout does not have such option.
Assistive touch definitely needs some work but I can see the potential of this.
Really good tips. I’ll start using some before I forget
Excellent video and advice. Although the advice toward the end is a little too fast paced as far as explanations. I'll have to watch a few times to grasp everything.
I tried the gestures but since I swim laps I realized that the watch thought I was doing gestures as my left hand was just swimming and I was keeping my fingers together as I was doing a stroke.
By the way the dedicated swim apps suck as they want you to pay for the app and pay more to use them
Thanks for sharing information to make my watch more useful to me.
Love your videos , you definitely make it easy on us
How do I go back to the play/pause menu on iwatch after playing video from phone, example I get a message so I scroll out of iPhone play/pause menu but then can’t go back. Please help
A great video on what Apple Watch can do, where is a video with step to step on how to use a specific app.
?
I have an Apple series 4, does everything the new ones do. Not getting a new one until they add a camera to the watch where you can FaceTime from your watch.
awesome thankyou I will be getting mine today thanks to your video and will be making a video
#6 is so helpful!!
The current Apple Watch SE 2nd gen is not compatible with Apple Watch Mirroring
Mike I can’t find Apple watch mirroring on my iPhone?
Is this the series 8 midnight 45mm or 41mm?? I please want to know
Thank you! Finally, I have for my watch and phone synced! video was perfectly easy to follow. 5****
My whole reason to buy an apple was that to track steps and exercise. The problem is every time I move my wrist/ arm it counts it’ as steps. How can I change this. I know it’s a dumb question but it’s my first apple watch.
Thanks, I had no idea of these tricks.😊
Thanks for sharing thsi much information buddy.. i can totally understand how much time and effort goes into this for testing and scripting for 30 features. Even shooting the brolls for each and every feature. Tension not bro you will be getting an expensive car soon that you can unlock with your apple watch.. Kudos to you buddy keep it up... Thanks a ton again...
What series are you using?
Is the Apple Watch SE2 work for mirroring , on my iPhone 12 I am unable to mirror my watch
Apple's support document says, "Apple Watch Mirroring is is available on Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch Series 7, and Apple Watch Series 8." It appears Apple crippled the SE 2022 in this regard (like with the onscreen keyboard too).
Great video, I don't have an apple watch, but your videos are always great
Thank you!
How did u get the face of u watch I looked in the gallery and couldn’t find it
This are great tips thanks so much
It still blows my mind how well the clinch and pinch gestures work on Apple watches
If you could tell me how to make the PHONE still play notifications or allow text tones to play on the watch, THAT would be really helpful!!! I have tones for different groups at work so it would be nice to be able to use them again!!! it's one of the biggest things I hate about my iPhone
You have to set the watch for no notifications for that specific app. Then only the phone will have audible notifications. I do that for some apps.
Unfortunately the mirror my watch is not available for SE.
Great video. Is there anyway to play music directly from your watch without airpods being connected?
No
for those who want to control a vehicle with watch: drone mobile and compustar is what I use. you can lock, unlock, remote start, and more via the watch. you can touch or do voice commands..
examples of the use: with apple Siri; hey Siri-start my Tahoe { or whatever you name your vehicle}. hey Siri- unlock my Tahoe. but you can also just use finger and touch the icons on the watch or phone.
Saw this thing that There is this way to dim the screen using the crown coz the screen settings level 1 brightness is still bright at night. But i dont know how. Can you do this?
@Patrick Waugh ohh wow. It worked! Thank you!
Some of the things you said you need to enable is already enabled on my ultra. Maybe because I'm using beta software
My phone didn’t light up when pressing and holding the ping button. Any thoughts?
Please make the same on galaxy watch 😊. As watch 4 , 4 classic, 5 , 5 pro all are almost similar, so those features will be applicable to all those watches. Hope you consider it
Nice Video , thanks for the info. Is there any app countdown events for i-wath please let us know and thanks again
Hate to say this, but I have the Apple Watch Series 2. It is a much older Apple Watch, given to me by a well-known friend. I like it so far, but I’ll see how your tip work while using voiceover. If they do it all, that is.
Any updates on this? I'm trying to find my series 2, I have it in storage somewhere and would like to try out these features on that too, let me know how it went for you.
Another really cool feature on the series 8 watch if not all (in my opinion) is the walkie talkie feature. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😮😮😮😮
Mike, this is amazing.
So glad you liked the video!
Great info!
I dont have the apple watch mirroring feature, why?
Is there a way to lower the brightness of the watch without having to go into the settings bar. I haven’t seen any button to lower the brightness from the menu
3:28
Ask hey siri to lower brightness
@@dianeharrison4975 just tried that ! Thanks very helpful (:
As far as keyboard letters.
It would be cool if you could use the crown to adjust the sizing of the keyboard letters and etc. but it makes more sense to have the keyboard letters adjust according to your font sizes… that’s just in my opinion tho
Does anyone else agree ??
How did you get that white and blue clock face
Thanks Mike.
Dammm. Amazing - thanks so much. Even thou this video is a year old - and I already have learned a lot of the tips and tricks ,,, it’s great to learn more ,,,, and follow you - because I love your style and delivery 😉❣️
Great content and great delivery !!
im new to applewatch and this was very very useful. thanks man
My iPhone 14 pro max only makes a sound when looking for it how do I get my phone to light up?
Those fitness ones are awesome thanks!
Excellent video
Will all these work on an Apple watch SE (1st gen)?
Yes
