    Never doing this shit again...
Edit: I dislike this video because it's the opposite of what I usually do, but I did it anyway. But I promise the next video will be back on track with the usual style again. Just wait when October comes, I have something planned.

I love offline practice mode. Mainly because I often dont play for weeks and then when i get back i suck at it, and just want to have fun haha.

love the video! To answer the question in the title I would use offline practice to address some of the issues that you bring up about bots not being very good in tf2. One of the problems you bring up is the bots ability to navigate the map and the limited selection of maps available to play offline with bots. To get around this, load up any map you know bots don't have the ability to navigate on and use sv_cheats 1 in console and then run the command nav_generate. This will generate a navigation mesh(and lag your game a bit) for the bots to use to get around the map and play the objective. Unfortunately, the automatic nav mesh generation can leave a bit to be desired; sometimes bots get stuck somewhere or you notice they try jumping to certain areas they can't or won't jump up certain areas that they can. To fix that you need to use the rest of the nav_ commands to edit the nav mesh to help the bots understand the map. It's kinda tedious, which is why I haven't done it myself, but it's a passion of mine that i've been wanting to do but haven't. There's also other commands that affect how well bots play by determining things like how far to search for health and ammo, how far/close medic bots will be to their heal target, how much to search for sniping spots, how far an engineer will build their turret from their exit or the objective, among other things. Aside from never really messing too much with all these commands, i kinda wish there was more resources available for making the bots better, not that i''ve searched around much either lol.

He was right about refering to TF2c instead, this tedious task says it all.

That's a lot of work just to get bots working on a map..

i'm not to big into practice lobbies with tf_bots, practice maps is where it's at for me. tr_walkway, tr_newbots and tr_medic_agility are the ones i know, and compared to tf_bot lobbies its more focused on mechanical skill than game sense
    (an upside of bot practice).
tr_walkway is really good for practicing things like charging as demoknight or learning the backstab hitbox, its the most popular practice map
tr_medic_agility is a map pulled out of a series of practice maps meant for medic, this on tests your movement planning by making your go through an obstacle course while soldier bots shoot at you
tr_newbots is a really simple 1v1 with a bot, this ones my favorite since its good for both aim and movement

Btw you can get bots on pretty much any map (in theory) by puting "nav_generate" on console and then "tf_bot_add (number of bots you want)" but some maps require you to manually generate the nav mesh wich sucks ass and sometimes the bots will stay still regardless.
Also Bots don't work with arena mode and any other gamemode other than koth, pl, ctf and etc.
Btw your FOV sucks so bad 😭

I remember back in 2015 I finally had enough money to buy my own gaming laptop and the first thing I did was load up TF2 once I got home, only to find out our wifi was piss poor and every online game i could get into looked like a powerpoint presentation, so basically unplayable, but i spent many mindless hours just killing bots on offline practice with the visual settings turned all the way down got pretty good at it, mowing down bots as heavy on KOTH maps or playing defensive spy/engineer on Payloads but then I got pretty bored of it and stopped playing all together after a year or so, good times still

I can feel that. Before I officially started playing TF2 in 2020, I was playing on 2013. I went to this computer cafe and there was already a steam account provided for you so you can play any game on Steam and one of them was TF2. By this time I only know TF2 by UA-cam videos because I was too poor to get a PC and I don't even know how to set up an account. So I felt immense joy given the chance to play the game. I didn't know how to use the server menu so I was stuck with training mode. I had a blast playing the game even if it wasn't with real players, mostly I was playing as Engineer in Dustbowl and turtling the whole way, other times I made my own servers and played on 2fort but I didn't know how to make other players join the game so I was just alone capturing intels as Scout repeatedly. That was my prior experience on TF2 before 2020 when I finally had my first PC and know how to make a Steam account. The rest is history now.

Someone has already said this, but the aspect ratio and the loud techno music makes this feel like a 2008 video. Very fun video about something that I've never heard anyone talk about before

I still think it contradicts my channel's idea, so we definitely will not be having another video like this again. Unless I lose a bet or something.
