@@JAMAICAWITHIRIE lol...funny how that works. Years ago when i lived there and worked in Mobay i met a person from Montreal whose title was destination coordinator/supervisor. @Beverley Hohn Chang I've seen you post on other vlogs and youre usually pretty fired up there as well. My suggestion is since this lady has done a fabulous job of highlighting our coutry's unknown or under-discussed areas, why not start a vlog doing what you asked her. Your name speaks to that lineage and it would be great for us to know aboit indeed I am also loving Tami Chin and Wayne's (Meet The Mitchells)MTM and her dad scratched the sutface of the Chinese Jamaican life ,unknown to many othet Jamaicans including myself. I guess in a nutshell don't cuss a well meaning vlogger who clearly is putting in extraordinary work to highlight JA. Thank her and ASK if she could look into that. Neither you nor I pay vloggers so i am thankful for whatever content they are providing ESPECIALLY in Covid times. Also go easy on the CAPS...One Love to you as well!
@Christina Z My thoughts exactly! You see the size of that crocodile??? All Jamaicans know Black River is full of alligators and crocodiles, these people see them and then jump right in.... No sah!!!
@Beverley Hohn Chang I'm surprised to see you here but hello again 👋🏾 I've asked you this question a while back but sometimes UA-cam don't give a notification so I'm not sure if you answered but why do you oftentimes seem so angry?
@@LivingOnPurpose1 I think this person is a kid, most times he/she makes absolutely no sense yet is on every Jamaican Vloggers channel... and most times just talking nonsense nothing with merit.
You are thorough and refreshing, almost too much so. An explorer without limits. Is there nothing you can't or won't do? I am blown away by how little I know my Jamaica. Jamaica Tourist Board simply MUST talk to you. Your ability at marketing this island is priceless.
Hi Steven, thank you! You always leave such kind comments for me and give so much support. I think JTB are also doing a good job, but just limited by the "official" approach they have to take, unlike bloggers - we can say anything without having to follow whatever procedure/rules :)

WOW!!!! I'm genuinely impressed with this production. I know this takes a lot of time to put together. The Jamaican government should employ you to do tourism marketing- or marketing for Jamaica in general. It is not as conventional as what you normally see on UA-cam. I hope your channel gets more subscribers. Try to use certain video titles, like the one you used for this video, to get viewers' attention. I am glad I get to see your videos before your subscription reaches thousands (don't worry. It will. It just takes hard work and dedication). I am a Jamaican who lives in New York City and this video convinces me to visit Jamaica.
Aww, thank you! Such feedback is amazing and I'm glad you found the video useful! Yes, the idea is to make people want to come and visit Jamaica by showing how amazing the place really is, because so many things go unnoticed and people don't even realize they exist. And yes, creating these videos takes time and effort, it's true, but still worth it! I realize it will take at least 2 years before it gets anywhere near popular, but ph well, one step at a time :) Glad to have you here with us from the start of our journey! 🇯🇲 ❤️
@@JAMAICAWITHIRIE I'm here as well on your journey. I thought you had about a million subscribers already, when I discovered your channel. I'm sure you will get there fast though because many Jamaicans in the diaspora, who are afraid to go back home, visit Jamaica vicariously through vloggers videos from Jamaica. Once they discover you, you channel will become very successful. I am a Jamaican living in Florida and didn't know some of the things you showed in this video. You have educated me. Most Jamaican vloggers don't showcase the things about Jamaica in all of their videos combined, that you have showcased in this one video. I had to subscribe. Can't wait to move back home. The only other channels that come close to yours are Kareem's Quest and Jamieson Daley. Jamieson don't really go in-depth like you and Kareem though. His videos are more of the cinematic type, but still highlight Jamaica on a different perspective none the less. There is a place that is almost on my doorstep in my neighborhood in Jamaica that I never heard about until I saw it in one of Kareem's videos. This is in Boscobel, right down the road from where I come from, and I didn't know about it until now. The Scottish doctor is the 1st I'm hearing about him, the many other castles and their remains that still exists, didn't learn this in social Studies at all. Didn't even know about tacky falls. Learning a few things from this video🇯🇲🇯🇲
She know Jamaica more then many of us it a shame that we know nothing of our country 😂😂😂😂😂as she say in the video b4 move to a country for the 10 things u love not only to work and buy clothes and car that not life that not living
I am 23 I live in Jamaica all my life and never knew my country was that beautiful I need to start exploring my country I was amazed watching your videos Great Job
But, I’ve watch a video last week where some Trinis talking us Jamaicans down , bashing our economy, and how much we are poor, don’t have proper houses and life is not good in Jamaica so Jamaicans running to Trinidad for better life and comfort . So now I’m assuming you’re living your best life there.
@@876mostvaluabletreasure2 I'm not entirely sure if the last part of your comment is meant to be taken seriously or whether you're just being cheeky... One has to take the good with the bad. There are Trinis who love Jamaica and Jamaicans as much as the next person so the minority(in the case of the video you mentioned) is oftentimes not the truest representation of the whole. People are people, no matter their nationality so they will speak ill of what seems different from what they are used to or that which is foreign. This may be as a result of their biases, preconceived notions or whatever they have been fed by external sources. Trinis do it, Jamaicans do it, Americans do it...Humans do it. Doesn't make it right but🤷🏽♀️ But... to address to your assumption, one could say I'm living my best life here-as I would anywhere else-because life is what you make it.
Qweenash I meant no harm in my comment, out of curiosity base on what most Trinis wrote on several videos, makes me wonder if they treat Jamaicans well over there or you guys are living better there life there than in Jamaica . Trinidad is the only Caribbean island i haven’t traveled to yet. So, no offence.
@@876mostvaluabletreasure2 no offence taken. It just gets old after a while... this Trini-Jamaican love hate thing. The narrative just needs to change. Both countries are alike in so many ways it's not even funny. Like I said, you just have to take the good with the bad...and be open.
my first time watching ur video..... i am a Jamaican living in the U S A . However! i enjoy ur presentations which is very honest in all aspect..... Irie! IRIE....
As someone who's family is from Jamaica, this is by far an exceedingly informative video!! My family and I have learned so much from this one video, starting from the history, actual wildlife, rainforests, waterfalls, etc. I've never seen these places, we usually would stay in the desert part of Portmore - oh LAWD! Thank you so much for the high production and the truths of our beautiful Jamaican island. You are a beautiful soul! Keep up the excellent work.
irie sweet beautiful lady thank you for showing the world all the nice and beautiful things about places and things to see and do in Jamaica Jamaica love you love you bless up
Thank you for this video Irina. I am here California missing my country of Jamaica and feeling like moving back. I am so homesick. I remember the feeling I used to have growing up in Jamaica, especially waking up in the mornings with that fresh air. There is nowhere else like the land we love. I am glad you are enjoying it. You really are Jamaican now!
It is 12:54 a.m and I am in my bed watching your videos. Great content. It is obvious you have put great effort into this. I did not even realize we had so many interesting places in my country. Definitely subscribing and sharing your video.
Love your channel Irina...I've been going to JA for 40 years now and have not seen such great insights and true understanding of being a traveler there and not a tourist. Thanks for the updates on the Covid protocol, as I have a trip coming up shortly... BTW, if you have not been, go see Mark at Zimbali, about 45 minutes east of Negril and north of Little London. It's an amazing experience and certainly not to be missed. Tell him Locke says hello when you go...
Thank you for such wonderful feedback! Yes, I've heard of Zimbali - my best friend in Jamaica invited me to go there for a cooking experience, but I didn't get to do that yet! I think they are on Airbnb Experience platform I mentioned in the video: www.airbnb.com/experiences/198904 Will tell hello from Locke when I get there :)
Thank you for creating this video. You've shown things that I haven't seen nor know about and I'm sure many other Jamaicans don't know either. I'll be checking back to see new content from.

Irina! I am going to Jamaica for 3 weeks in June and I am so grateful I found your channel! Your videos are the fulfilment of my dreams about perfect Jamaica travel guide. I mean places and attractions which will show me the real, authentic Jamaica and not only its touristic side. I am grateful for your work! Since I am a huge reggae fan I would love to experience a lot of musical/cultural side of Jamaica. One of my dreams would be to witness how the local artists record in a studio or play local shows. Could you recommend any studios for taking part in a recording and clubs for live shows in Kingston? I would be more than grateful for that! All the best to you from Poland! Rafał 🙂
Thank you! Well, I spend all of my time doing videos, but I have Jamaican friends in Montego Bay who would be happy to take you around on day trips. I learnt a lot of things from them about Jamaica. You can see the day trips they run at irielab.com

@Christina Z
My thoughts exactly! You see the size of that crocodile??? All Jamaicans know Black River is full of alligators and crocodiles, these people see them and then jump right in.... No sah!!!
I like what you r doing for Jamaica your show true side of my country. And she not even Jamaican. Thanks.you very much
The pleasure is all mine! Thank you! ❤️ 🇯🇲
@Beverley Hohn Chang I'm surprised to see you here but hello again 👋🏾
I've asked you this question a while back but sometimes UA-cam don't give a notification so I'm not sure if you answered but why do you oftentimes seem so angry?

@@LivingOnPurpose1 I think this person is a kid, most times he/she makes absolutely no sense yet is on every Jamaican Vloggers channel... and most times just talking nonsense nothing with merit.
@@sophiemc8186 oh so yuh see them too? Glad I'm not alone who noticed it.
wow, that was the most enjoyable 21 minute video i've watched in a while.
@@JAMAICAWITHIRIE make sense... this was an amazing video of my country to watch. You captured the main essence...
JTB would probably limit her. Keep doing what you're doing
Dirt Adventure: ua-cam.com/video/f9Uxro3-pAY/v-deo.html This is Jamieson's style: ua-cam.com/video/T7po-KfDu5g/v-deo.html

Thank you for choosing Jamaica stay safe ypu are loved
thank you for repeating my country better than a lot of jamaican do thank's again.
Man! This is wonderful! I'm a Jamaican living in Trinidad and after watching this all me wah do now is jump on a plane n come a me yaad!!!
Doesn't make it right but🤷🏽♀️
But... to address to your assumption, one could say I'm living my best life here-as I would anywhere else-because life is what you make it.
I am so proud of you. Thanks for helping me rediscover my island home.
irie sweet beautiful lady thank you for showing the world all the nice and beautiful things about places and things to see and do in Jamaica Jamaica love you love you bless up

aw, thank you so much! Next time you're in Jamaica, let us know - we'll take you for the Hike! :)
🇯🇲 JAMAICA IS AMAZING
It is 12:54 a.m and I am in my bed watching your videos. Great content. It is obvious you have put great effort into this. I did not even realize we had so many interesting places in my country. Definitely subscribing and sharing your video.
Oh, wow, thank you! Glad you enjoyed the videos and all the support is so much appreciated!
I think they are on Airbnb Experience platform I mentioned in the video: www.airbnb.com/experiences/198904
Will tell hello from Locke when I get there :)
My like this lady.....i love your story.....plain and straight facts. Facts that most Jamaicans have not heard of.....
Thank you for creating this video.
You've shown things that I haven't seen nor know about and I'm sure many other Jamaicans don't know either. I'll be checking back to see new content from.
Thank you so much! Glad you liked this video! More videos are coming up soon, will be part of "Jamaica video guide" series.
