Mine went out last week. I bought a 3 year full coverage warranty through Lowe's and it ended January 1st, washer went out on the 7th. Maytag sent out a technician that cost me $125 to tell me the part wasn't covered by warranty. Now I'm fixing it myself and after the service call it's going to cost me about $450 which is almost the price of a new machine. Needless to say I'm pissed! Thanks for the video it only took a few minutes to get the board out.

Thank you so much for this video! I was able to replace the ACU by replacing it just like in your video. Everything worked fine until I ran into a F3E2 error, washer kept draining, apparently error was temperature sensor general fault. I found a solution on FIXYA forums by an anonymous user, they mentioned blowing into the tube (seen at 2:16) that was connected to the ACU. Now the washer is on a test run and seems to be working normally! So far, so good! Again, thank you so much, I appreciate this video for helping me get started!
I have the same one. Bought from Lowes few years ago. Long story short, we have warranty, took months to even get to the point where they said it was the board then it was going to be another couple months for the part to come in. We tried to get our money back but all in all, Lowes just gave us in store credit and we still have that washer in my shop. Bought a new set but def not maytag. Needless to say, none of my appliances are connected to wifi. AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE SPENDING ANOTHER DIME ON MY MAYTAG WASHER LOL

I lifted lid just enough to get pliers on the lock then popped it off. I then used my wet vac to suck out the water add simple in laundry tub. I was going to use my sump pump and run a hose, but the shop vac worked fine.
Same issue. Bought in 2020. Called Maytag and said part was over $500. Might as well buy a new washer for that price. Ordered part online for less than $300.
Also bought our set in July 2020 and the display on the dryer stopped working. No more days of long lasting, quality products. I thought we were safe purchasing Maytag after nightmares with Samsungs. I give up. Just give me a simple, long-lasting, appliance. Quality control is severely lacking in our world but yet want to charge "quality" prices!!!
Right? The door gets stuck in locked position but somebody thought it was a grand idea to place the part $/serial # tag right under the lid. It's completely covered! Lucky I registered it 'cuz had to call Maytag for the model #.

Same exact thing happened to our less than 4 year old washer. Ridiculous! Thank you so much for posting this video it was extremely helpful!! I lifted lid just enough to get pliers on the lock then popped it off. I then used my wet vac to suck out the water add simple in laundry tub. I was going to use my sump pump and run a hose, but the shop vac worked fine.
Where did you ordered the Control Board from?
What is code F3e2 I’ve unplugged plugged back in it won’t go off or work
I changed my board and it is still now working what else can it be?
What did you do??? I'm lost
Same problem with my 2 year old washer. Line voltage is high at 126. Called Power Company to check the transformer
Same issue. Bought in 2020. Called Maytag and said part was over $500. Might as well buy a new washer for that price. Ordered part online for less than $300.
Ordered from where? Same issue!
Bought also 2020!
Also bought our set in July 2020 and the display on the dryer stopped working. No more days of long lasting, quality products. I thought we were safe purchasing Maytag after nightmares with Samsungs. I give up. Just give me a simple, long-lasting, appliance. Quality control is severely lacking in our world but yet want to charge "quality" prices!!!
mine just did this. snd just before the power quit the machine didn't stop on spin cycle. it just kept spinning
Just wondering why it said 220 volts inside.. and only 110 V in America..
In America it is 120V. Germany 220V.
Somebody know how to oper the door without replace the board?
I try to get the part number to check if is under warranty!
Right? The door gets stuck in locked position but somebody thought it was a grand idea to place the part $/serial # tag right under the lid. It's completely covered! Lucky I registered it 'cuz had to call Maytag for the model #.
What's the number for the ACU I'm having the same issue with mine right now

Not happy with my product either. Had 1 and my repairman said I can get you another one just better. Now I have two to junk I want to get the brain out of one to put in the other. However, I cannot get the lid off to take it off and the other one to get it out
This is awesome you did this! I’m my unit isn’t getting power to the drain pump from the board but I’m not sure how to figure out if it’s a wire or a board issue. Any advice I’ve been up and down forums. Thanks again for posting
Drain pump is pretty easy to replace, if the board is good you should be able to run a diagnostic test. The code will verify what the issue is. I just replaced it 3 months before it started with this issue in the video. 😕 😞
Big Help....Thank you!
Only used for 3 years exact same wasger
Where do you get the board from?
Ebay
How do they get away with this? It is apparently a common issue
What is the part number did you get? You have two numbers but the one you got. Thanks.
Far as I’m aware of the look to be the same
Just google your model number and the part you need, it will bring you to the vendors.
just replaced the motherboard and ran for a few mins and no power again... so frustrating
You got a way to fix the close lid to start cycle message?
No
Did you figure out how to fix the close the lid msg ? I'm having the same problem now after replacing the board
@allangales6849 I ended up having to replace the locking switch I believe
@@seth9909 thanks appreciate the help
Weve had our Maytag washer & dryer for 15 months. Pd 1,600.00 . Same problem. We replaced our 15 year old GE set. Will never by Maytag again. Just sick about it.
Can you please tell us where you got the new board from
ebay
@@lynperk hello we got the part in and it comes on but will not run, it still has water in it. did you have any problems with the board doing this? Help please!
@@sellis1966 after plugging it in no problems it just worked
@@lynperk Put the model number of you machine in the search from google and the part you need it will take you to a lot of vendors.
Mine is flashing zeros and no buttons respond, I've unplugged and if it doesn't fix, I will call service.
Just spoke with Maytag and my machine did the same thing. Computer is blown the machine is less than 3 years old and it’s not warranty. The service is $140.00 and up to 500.00 for computer. . Maytag is very aware of the computers blowing but do NOT care. They are selling garbage. Do not buy this model or for that sake dont by Maytag they do NOT stand by their machines.. they are aware and will do nothing to help. So frustrating
I agree let’s make a complaint.. they don’t care
Where di you get the part and how much was it?
I know this is a year out but I bought a board from HnK Parts for less than $300.
Where is the part list
Just happened to ours yesterday, bought 3 years ago ..reading the comments here ,im guessing the best thing to do is never buy Maytag again..what a waste of $ , they should back what they sell
I switched out the control board and it works but my washer gets stuck on spinning.. has this happened to anyone?? Anyone know what to do?
Where can I order the board from ?!

where to buy the mother board?
Ebay
Thank you. What a mess these are
Who made the control boards for this? Someone in need of job security? HUGE FAIL! Who designed this machine, someone deprived of oxigen? Mine was purchased 9/2020 Machine failed while full & lid locks. Model & Serial # placed under the locked lid so no access! Thank you for this video! I was able to liberate my linens. Maytag was no help in this issue & wants $347 - $400 to service. 1 Control board $200? What a waste! Incentivizes environmental pollution by making it cheaper to buy new than to repair after only 3 1/2 years! Come on #Maytag you are better than this!
Very helpful video.
From Maytag when I asked why this issue hasn’t been addressed since it is so widespread:
“Due to the discrepancies between anonymous and unverified forum posts, we rely on communications between our technicians and our engineering teams to determine if there is a common problem resulting from a quality defect or design flaw. It appears that your appliance is excluded from either at this time.”
What is the part number
In the description
Google the model number of your machine it will bring you to the right part.
Can’t find part on Amazon, any links besides eBay ?
Mine is doing the same thing and it's not that old! 5-3-24
Add another to the list of disgruntled.
Been about 6 years here. Things a piece of sht. I’m taking it back and getting a new one. Then buying another warranty on it.
Omg I can’t do all this I’m gonna cry
Mine went out too. I Will never buy this junk of a maytag washer again.
This washing machine has been the worst I ever purchased.
SAME PROBLEM WHAT A PILE JUNK
I used mine once....its 1 week old!!! Display is DEAD!
Same washer, same issue. We will never buy anything maytag again.
Somebody needs to stand and not allow them to continue selling garbage machines
I just had to replace the inlet valve again. Junk. Pure junk. Dont buy maytag or anything affiliated until they honor their own products and give a better warranty. Which will never happen..
Same exact thing happened to our less than 4 year old washer. Ridiculous!
Thank you so much for posting this video it was extremely helpful!! We were able to purchase a new control board from a local appliance shop and repair ourselves for only $250 - way less than getting Maytag involved or purchasing a new washer
After we replaced control board we got an F3E2 error - more YouTubing showed we just needed to reset the washer given the new part install. This video helped us walk through that: ua-cam.com/video/g3gABE13i4Y/v-deo.html
Do you know the part number? Or have a link for one?
Our washer model # is MVW7232HW0 and the part # for the control board is W11419171
Make sure to check your model number and make sure it matches. If yours is different, you can call Maytag and ask them for the control board part number that corresponds with your washer model #
I think I’m just gonna replace this unit, such a headache
Called Sears and they say W11419171 is the latest part number and ordered it for $340 including taxes and shipping to GA.
@@GurpreetKaur-tl3fq did you get your part and did it work?
No sound
These washers are horrible mine turns on and off when it wants for day it will work then be done for like 2 weeks then turns on when it wants to
It doesn't go this easily 8t should not be plugged
Can anyone who owns this washer say anything good at all about it...anyone here like this washer at all?
