- GuitarPoint / Maintal - Vintage Guitar Show 2018 / Guitar Clinic with Bernie Marsden. Bernie is not only a great guitarplayer and singer, but also a very charming entertainer and Storyteller. Definately one of our best and most interesting clinics we ever had, with a lot of storys and interesting details and Bernie playing some of the hottest Vintage Guitars including two original Vintage Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1959, one of them "Spot" formerly owned by Joe Bonmassa.
Not only is Bernie an exceptional Guitarist but he is also a very down to earth complete and utter Gentleman.

RIP Bernie. Was never really a Whitesnake fan. I didn’t intend to watch this as it came up on my feed but that was 30 minutes very well spent what an entertaining and lovely bloke Bernie was and an extremely good player too. His Wings story was very funny

Bernie is Whitesnake. Had the pleasure of seeing and meeting him here in Denmark in ‘98. Together with Don Airy and band- he played one WS hit after another. His Compositions! F’in legend!!!😊

It is scary how real that guitar looks. I thought for sure it was a real old one until he talked about it. It actually even sounds like an old one. it lacks that clarity of an old one, but it is about the best reissue I have ever heard.

Thanks Bernie. Realy enjoyed the vid. My mate saw you a while back wen you did a gig up Manchester way with Jim Kirkpatrick and he speaks highly of your gigs and reminicences. Talking of Peter Green , i met him back in '69 wen Fleetwood Mac did a gig in Manchester. He was a lovely man, he even gave me his phone number and said to ring him if i ever wanted to chat. He even dedicated Albatross to me . He has been a big influence on my blues playing over the years and i feel privaliged to have met him. Keep up the great vids and the blues alive 👍🎸

Early Whitesnake were the best. It would be great to see a classic era reunion/album.
I saw a youtube video of Bernie join the latest version of whitesnake on stage. It was great and very nostalgic. I dont think we'll ever see a reunion though well because Jon Lord has passed away and it wouldnt be the same without Jon.
@@markgowans With all the respect to Jon I have to say he wasn't the vital part of that songs. So... Bernie, Ian, Neil, David, Micky... What an evening it would be! Maybe at the R'n'r Hall of fame induction? Why not?)
Cornucopia totally agree but problem is David Coverdale can’t sing great anymore and he snubbed the early musicans to break America with pretty boys rather than keep the best line up with Bernie n Micky
I was lucky enough to see them live twice, their first two tours (Trouble and Love Hunter). They were incredible. A truly great live band. Mistreated live when Coverdale was young and still at full vocal power was a truly awesome experience. And Bernie and Mickey Moody were a terrific pair of guitarists.
@@bobito8997 class, My older mates went to see them, I was 12 and my mother wouldn't let me go!! Gutted. Six months later she let me go and see iron maiden, status quo and ufo! Never saw Whitesnake though.

me and a friend saw Whitesnake as opener for ACDC in 1980 and we both buy the Whitesnake record because the Music was very good. And ! we saw the best Whitesnake Lineup ! :)

Well, I am just about to turn 60, so I think it is now time for Gibson to donate a 1958 Les Paul to me in celebration of having been born at the same time as the classic year for Les Pauls!
your maths are somewhat out of whack, 1958-2018 is 60 years. '58 was a classic year for Les Paul, 52 might be their original development date.

Trying to make my Gibson Les Paul to sound like his 59' les paul right now with brighter sounding Gibson pickups and different value caps.
