You always say "leave a dislike if you didn't", I don't know how anyone could dislike your videos. You seem like a really decent chap and your videos are great for budget gamers to get a handle on good purchases. Well done, top work!
💯❤️🔥
Some people are just assholes lol
I dislike this comment.
J/K
I always thought he said for his mental fortitude, (I know I would lol) UA-cam is a weird weird place and your bound to get negative feedback regardless of how good your work is….
The people who press dislike don't have anything better to do.
Congratulations on the 500K subscribers, that is a great achievement! 5700XT is a great value card now and, with it being Gen 4, it'll still run well at 1080p for a while yet!
Why 1080p you say? I mean, if games keep launching at a terrible optimization that's true but if you have a 2k/4k screen a medium preset is worth it for 1440p
Nevermind i just reached the end of the video.
I use a Gigabyte Windforce 3x. honestly runs great. but I've noticed I have quite a bit better performance
@@Durbanite2010 Yeah yeah it's true, i know, i just think it shows how good this card is for 1440p gaming today as well, it's a good card
PCIE Gen 4 makes miniscule difference in gaming workloads, even on very powerful gpus like the RTX 4090 which you would think would saturate PCIE 3 ports (it doesn't).
I actually still use a Rx5700(non xt) and it’s superb. Still recommend it in 2023 despite its age
Yeah a great card
@@RandomGaminginHD Mines an Asus Dual OC runs cool but would love to own a reference but as you said they are much more expensive
If I Remember u can flash non xt to xt if ur chip is functional enough
I have 8x ATI 5970 Radeon HD from each special edition 4GB that were released from ASUS (ARES), XFX (with the crazy gun/carry case), Sapphire. That's 24 cards and if I remember correct, I also have some reference or prototypes.
@@1NIGHTMAREGAMER I did think of doing that but at 1080p the GPU handles everything perfectly fine and I mostly use my pc high workloads
I have the 5700XT 16GB as part of the last 2020 Intel iMac before Apple moved to their own ARM architecture. It has proven quite the capable GPU. Macs have never been known for gaming, but running games in Windows through Bootcamp has made it possible for my work machine to double as a decent gaming PC even in 2023.
I didn't even know they made a 16GB version. Apple OEM only?
@@motozappa225 I believe so yes
Nice
Meanwhile, NVDA 4070 laptop 8gb, take it or leave it.
The reference RX 5700 looked amazing. One of my favorite older designs along with the Titan Xp.
Nah, somehow all recent blower founders edition look great in my eyes (have a 1070ti fe). I hate the rtx 20 series fe cards tho, but rx 6000 and rtx 30-40 series fe cards look amazing in my eyes
the one you could buy looked even better, that OEM prebuilt one is missing it's backplate for some reason. Though to be fair I preferred the Vega 64 blower's looks, and it had a softer woosh pitch with its centrifugal fan. Vega 64 and 5700XT blowers go from cr@p at cooling to decent with a bracket mod and replacing the TIM or gpu Thermal pad with liquid metal. Seriously cooled better than many bottom tier open case coolers I've had.
@@anasevi9456 Bracket Mod? Also, undervolting really helps Vegas and 5700s reach their max potential while taming the blower.
If I was Lisa Su and some designer presented me this as a pitch for the final product I would fire that person on the spot. It looks terrible.
Radeon VII always looked amazing as well
The 5700XT is still a beast, i've got a Red Devil and it's been so tempting to jump to the 6800xt, but i'm very much a "if it ain't broke" kinda person.
Even after trying the RE4 chainsaw demo, a nice 60 fps at 1440p with little to no stutter.
Honestly nice to finally see a PC port done with a little bit of care, all the stutter fest ports lately have been exhausting.
❤️💯🔥
the 5700xt is basically a slightly weaker 1080ti
(btw I'm also using the Red Devil 5700xt)
I was using the same card, upgraded to a 6900xt. It's obviously better but at 1440p it's not something that you notice enormously. It now lives in an itx build hooked up to the TV and with a bit of FSR copes with FH5 at 4k perfectly.
If you're playing at 1080p you're still good for another couple of year's
Today,rx 5700 xt is faster about 5%...It aged better, and it will continue to do. Better option in 2023 than 1080 ti :)
I loved the reference design, even if it looked like someone smashed the cooler. It was interesting, as you said about the pricing for this during the last few years. I saw so many people willing to sell their RX 6000 series GPUs + cash for a 5700(XT) because of it being better at mining. My friend made out like a bandit trading his for a 6800 XT + cash.
I really thought that someone had kicked the card LOL. Not very cool design when trying to sell the card and everyone thinks it's been abused and offer less money
I remember people joking about Linus from Linus Tech Tips somehow dropping every card.
Congrats on the 500k. Well deserved, surprised it didn’t happen sooner
I got my hands on one of these back when it first hit the shelves. The sound of that blower style cooler drove me crazy. So much so that I went and ordered a full cover water block for it and added it to my existing loop. After that and a couple of driver updates later, it became a very decent card to game on with rock solid performance.
how the temps with water block solution ?
Looks like it literally hit the shelves.
@@a.bamatraf6054 It's far better than the stock cooler for sure. Mine never got above 68c under full load with the BYKSKI block I have on it.
@@a.bamatraf6054 I have a Watercool Heatkiller IV Block on mine and hotspot temp never exceeds 55°C. Though I have a fairly beefy external radiator in my loop (Watercool MoRa 420).
bought this exact model at launch and still rocking it in my pc
Lovely to see you are making a video about that card
Congrats on 500K man ! I've been here since before 100K and it's been amazing to see you grow this much over time !
Ohooo! 🎉 Congratulations on 500K mate!!!
Keep making awesome videos 😃
5700XT is a beast btw 😮
Congrats on 500k! Well deserved, this is the best PC hardware channel on UA-cam :)
I managed to pick up a Nitro+ 5700XT back in October '22 for 250$, A clean up and new thermalpaste and it runs good as new. Pretty solid deal considering the GPU runs everything I throw at it at a more than enjoyable Framerate.
Can you please rate this build and tell me if it is good or no , if not advise me ! CPU : Ryzen 5 3600

Congrats on the subscriber count always enjoy your down to earth content..keep keeping on
Congratz on 500K subs. Been subbed to you back when you had about 10k.
This is the card I've been using since my R9 390 died in 2019 :( R.I.P. Good enough for 1440p high in almost all games, especially with FSR 2.X. I'm generally happy with 50-60fps, especially as I'm limited by my monitor.
What cpu do u use with it?
@@shadyslim4743 originally an R5 3600 but now have an R7 5700G. Considering an R7 5800X3D.
@@tyrkukulkan how does it pair with the rx 5700 xt ( ryzen 5 3600) cuz im tryna build a PC and i searched and many ppl sayin' its a good pair , but when i go to websites that calculate the bottleneck and fps they say the cpu is kinda weak for it and it'll bottleneck it !!! Now im so confused cuz i wanna build a solid smooth gaming Pc ( its my first time) and i dont wanna regret anythin!
So if u r a bit informed in this aspect can u please help me with this ? And can you please rate this build and tell me if it is good or no , if not advise me ! CPU : Ryzen 5 3600

And how much PSU power do i need !
@@shadyslim4743 That is basically the same as my PC. I have a 760W PSU but definitely don't need one. A good 500W would be enough for that system but doesn't give you room for upgrades.
Have a look at OuterVision's PSU calculator. Even with 6 fans and an AIO you'd only be pulling around 400W.
600W PSU would be safe.
Yooooo, congrats on the 500k subs! Well-earned and I sure do hope you continue delivering ♥
Thanks :)
Congratulations on the 500k, you deserve it!
Congrats on the 500k lad. Well deserved
Congrats on the 500k subs, been a subscriber since 250k!

Congratz for 500.000 ! 🙂
Great card still for 2023 , but a very hot boy in some cases :D
congrats on 500k you deserve it love the content buy the way
Also congratz to the 500k
Congratulation on 500k subs you deserve it i enjoy your content so much man.
500K subs, nice! Congratulations! As for the 5700XT, I've owned the Sapphire Pulse model for 3 years and it's been rock solid, a really good card. I have a 144Hz, 1080p display and I don't care about raytracing, so this card has been great for me.
Congrats on getting to 500k! I've been a huge fan of your videos for a long time, I look forward to seeing you get 1M!
A week ago, I was literally deciding between this exact card and a 6600XT at a second hand shop. They were the same price and I was torn, as I have a soft spot for the reference cooler like you do. It's the last AMD reference blower, which works great in the SFF systems I like to build.
But I went for the 6600XT, it's newer, performs a bit better, and it's unlikely to have been down the mines. It's also more likely to get AMD fine wine treatment for longer with driver updates. the 5700XT was a bit of a GCN/RDNA hybrid, which is why the miners liked it.
congrats on the 500 000 subs man :D !!! i actually watched you video to which you got this card just the other day... so it was nice to see a follow up... lol
Congrats on the 500k mate, well deserved.
Thank you
congrats to 500K man, what a ride ;-;
I've had my non XT 5700 running a flashed bios with a small OC since early 2020 and it's been awesome! still holds up great!
I just bought it completly new,in march 2023.Ive got 2 years warranty...Definetly love it!
Well deserved the 500K bro, just love your vidz, great content without any nonsens ;-) ❤
Congratulations on 500k subscribers! Been watching since 2016 :)
Thank you!
First of all congratulations for the 500k, I'm here for a long time now. Very interesting that what we got for only 400 USD back in 2019. It was a High-Endish card and it was capable to run everything maxed out 1080p/1440p. What we got today for 400 USD??? It is very sad where graphics card prices are today.
I’ve noticed that lately, I bought the Gigabyte Gaming OC version back in December 2019 for $419.99 and now it’s worth about $200 max. However, if I wanted a decent upgrade I’d be looking to spend at least $700-800 for it to be worthwhile. I’m going to keep this card for a while more probably since I only play BeamNG with medium graphics at 1080p.
congrats on the 500K subs you deserved it cheers 🎉🎉
Congrats on the 500k been around since the mid 10k mark. Good times.
Congrats on 500k subs! Well deserved.
I have the same card since 2020 january and it works great to this day.
For those still using the reference model, go and grab 4 nylon washers, and install under the screws for the heatsink. It'll drop temps by about 7-8C.
500k, congrats Steve!
Thanks to you im getting this card tomorrow. Kudos! 😊
I really like your job, mainly for two reasons:
1. You know what you're talking about, and
2. I train my listening skill earing you.
So it's a win-win.
Anyway, grettings from Spain.
Awesome video as always! I picked up a used 5700XT (the XFX THICC II Ultra) less than a week ago to round out my first ever PC build and am loving it. I'm a bit surprised at your Forza Horizon 5 experience as the stuttering hasn't been my experience at all, though I suspect it could have something to do with the better cooler on my three fan model. I'm able to push the card to 4k ultra and get an essentially locked 60 fps experience with FSR set to balanced. My other performance parts are a R5 5600 and 16GB of 3600 CL16 ram.
Keep the great content coming, subscribed!
I heard ppl sayin' to pair it with ryzen 5 3600 cuz what do u think?
Congrats on HALF A MILLION subscribers!! 🎉❤
woooo hooo 500k subs! good on ya mate! glad to see the channel grow. before i even finish watching this vid i gotta say, the 5700xt is one of the most underrated cards out there. with 2070 type performance for about 100 bux cheaper here in the netherlands on the used market. you can typically find a 5700xt here for 200 euros and a 2070 for around 300 so its a real bang for buck option especially with the newest drivers (open GL fix and all that).
Congratulations on 500k subs Steve!!!
Thanks 😁
Congrats on 500K subs man
I bought one of these secondhand for my new PC (7700X CPU) because I wanted something that would last me whilst saving for a 7900xt and because I wanted a design that would really stand out. It's performed excellently so far and looks a treat as well.
I’ve been running a standard 5700 reference model since 2019 with no issues. I primarily play sea of thieves at 1440p ultra-wide aspect ratio with mixed settings.
I love your approach to these type of tech videos, it's very refreshing from all the shouting info dump style videos
Congrats, you deserve it! ;-)
I'm still using a XFX RX 5700 with flashed XT bios to this day, with a 1440p240Hz monitor even - it's actually a little efficiency wonder I find. The 5700/XT reacts quite well to simply reducing the power target and doesn't lose much performance going even 50-80W below stock (to 5500/5600 levels). FSR also really helps with high refresh. Going from that card to anything newer just doesn't make much sense yet, newer cards that double to triple the performance also double to triple power draw and cost compared to what I paid even adjusted for inflation...
got the 5700xt late 2019 just before gpu prices went insane and stocks were low had it for over 2 years before getting the 6700 xt when the prices went down great 1080p card!
Congrats mate 👏 keep it up. Still using the same old 5700xt gaming X, it's good to see you reviseting it now that you have a higher end gpu in your own rig.
Thankfully, i never ran into issues with vram on 1080p except on Resident Evil where game eats vram like candy xD if you push it ofc
I've still got 3 of these cards left over from my mining days. All of them still play games fantastically and even compete with my 2070 super.
Congrats on 500k 🎉
I got one of these shortly after launch for $330 and mined on it 24/7 until end of POW and still game on it. Runs like a dream 1440p 75hz. Very solid card
Congrats bud!!
I had a XFX Thicc 3 RX 5700 XT Ultra and man it was a powerhouse. The 5700 was one of my favorite cards.
500k here, congrats.
Love the videos in general! Have you ever done a comparison video with the oddball i7-5775C vs 4th gen and 6th gen etc... I have one with a motherboard and RAM if you wanted to borrow it for a video as I understand you can disable the Iris graphics and use the built in VRAM as a 128Mb level 4 cache? I've never used it myself but would love to see how it compare to more mainstream Intel processors and see if its worth building a budget PC for my son using it?
Keep up the good work!
LoL you're the only guy who I've heard say you actually like the design of the cooler. Great card for the price nowadays... Love your videos brother, keep up the great work
Congratulations on the 500K subs! You deserve that and more! You're a goon man, and you have a wonderful dog too!
Have a great day, Sir! o7
Hey hey! I lost track of this channel years ago and could never remember the name. This just popped up in my Google news feed. I really like these kinds of videos, glad to have found you again. Subscribing so it doesn't happen again! 👍👍👍
I remember wanting the blower style card when they were released. Went with the sapphire pulse model instead. Can't say it matters much now, as my tower hasn't been powered on for the past year.
Life gets in the way sometimes 😅
Congrats on 500k!
😁 thanks
i still use a 5700xt and have been since 2020, it’s been great and runs every game i throw at it beautifully. i was lucky to get it right before gpu prices started getting crazy
Congrats for 500K! Sleeper/Mod PC Build?
This very design of the RX 5700 XT was the first AMD GPU I bought on release.
I am very surprised to see that its holding up.
The recommendation I can give for this particular card is a 75% fan speed hold, no lowering of its fan curve.
I found it tough to keep this card under control.
500K Nice keep up the work
Was playing Darksiders 3 recently on this card, in DirectX 12.
Maxed out, 1080p, TAAU Quality like preset (enabled in ini, 67% rez scale). Basically 120 fps locked all throughout.
Nice little rhyme mid video, I liked my 5700 flashed when I had mine also..
Good videos as always
Such a beautiful card, I got one of these at launch but I sold it for a red devil and I miss this version a lot, I wish they would make something with this design again
I just got the RX 5700 XT reference card as a gift, and it really works great for all the games I try, Dead Space remake at max settings 1080p gives me around 80 to 110 fps.
Happy 500k! 🎉
❤️💯
My RX5700xt only cost me 140 as an upgrade from the 5600xt and its one of the best investments ive made, a noticeable difference in performance in the games I play and i managed to sell my 5600xt for 100 so it really only cost me 40 bucks for a nice 1440p capable upgrade
just ordered an rx 5700 xt asus tuf evo , upgrading from a rx 580 4 gb , really think it is worth it. waiting for the card to arrive. planing to play in 1080p so this video really helped me
i am daily driving a radeon pro w5700 and i must say this is still a very competent architecture for gaming, i run it in 1440p and 1080p and i get some pretty good results in games, for the price they sell for nowadays they are very good for a lot of people.
I still have a 5700xt and it works well enough for me at 1440p. Got it for 400€ back then
I use this gpu with a ryzen 5600 g, it s the first gpu i buy and i so happy with it. In my case i have an asus oc dual fan.
good gpu and Congratulations on the 500K
You are absolutely killing it in MW2 2022. Nice one.
I always wanted that GPU back then. It looks so good.
grats sir!
Seems decent enough and I'm pleased to hear that this can still do 1440p gaming, as it was meant for upon first release!
Got an used one at about 115USD (900 HKD as I live in Hong Kong), very nice card for this price.
cutting out the grills on the back i/o plate makes this card run much cooler and way quieter, might be a good idea for a video at one stage if your not looking to resell it
@El Cactuar I've done it to my reference 5700xt, dropped around 8 to 10°c and it is "way" quieter, it changes the sound from a high-pitched tone to a lower-pitched tone which is far less annoying
I recently purchased a used 5700XT Mech OC, I’m loving it so far!
Awesome
500k congratulations
I bought my 5700 for 200 open box during the gpu shortage, then I flashed the bios to a 5700xt bios. Was a great card, only problem I had was a driver issue with the wwe 2k games. it just wouldn't play them, otherwise it was a great card and that eventually got fixed with a driver update.
I have a rx 5500 xt and i love it. I can just imagine how well a 5700 xt runs!!!!
I have the much maligned xfx version of the 5700 flashed with the xt bios and I've never had a problem 😁
My 3700x/5700 combo still gets it done, but it's about time to upgrade
I bought one sapphire pulse for 200e two weeks ago since my Titan Black died . This card is really a vfm nowadays. Due to the higher memory bus than successors 6600XT series it scales well at 4k too. It's not a 4Κ 60fps min 0.01% by no means but still you get decent results, even with my old 6700k. I would love to see a 4K follow up if you can.
What cpu u think is best for rx 5700 xt for it to not be bottlenecked
@@shadyslim4743 It depends on the resolution. My 6700K at 4.5GHz at 4K is good enough. Benches within reach of the reviews numbers. At 1080p you would need a much more powerful cpu.
love your videos man!
Glad you like them!
@@RandomGaminginHD used my old RX 580 for 4 years before upgrading to a RTX 3060, has been an amazing card and gave it to my brother.
I'm rocking this card as I've got a mini itx system and it exhausts hot air out the back and keep hot air out of the case 😁
Congrats on the half a million subs! 🙌
