These videos are dope and give me hope. Today the conditions looked good, but water level in general is low everywhere. I threw a bunch of lures and still not a bite or even a fish in sight. There were kayakers and other people on the banks who said they get 2-5 pike a day but today no bites.

there is a little finesse with it . I don't just do a straight retrieve . You get a lot of swipes and follows doing that in the river since it's so close quarters . I yoyo the chatterbait to try to keep the bait in the strike zone as long as possible while also keeping the lure in the middle of the water column so the pike have room to come under the lure . they don't prefer to eat facing down . I've recently switched to using jerkbaits to be able to do this easier . been slaying off camera on husky jerks and x raps
