I just noticed your rod and I have a BPS Carbonlite rod too... Also, one of my "secret" spots used to be Dam #1 by Hintz Rd. until they demolished the dam. It was a fantastic spot for Northerns and Largemouth and I even caught a couple monster Crappies there...
@@beski1000 barely anyone does that. Gotta grind and find your own lol. I dont mean to be an asshole just the way it works lol. I fish the des plaines river quite a bit its pretty good. Try it!
Not sure why you did it (not that i care) but why did you move the pike like 20-30 feet down the path? If anything arent the odds greater that it was caught near its family? Better chance of spawning? Let me know if im loony or not lol
How's it going bud My name's Mike with Texas guide service we fish a lot of South Texas water , contact me ,have some questions for you I'm in the Chicago area Look in for some pike spots like this.
Lake behind the preserve at osprey lake in Gurnee :D www.google.com/maps/place/Gurnee/@42.3883058,-87.9126432,826m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x880f8d93be6d5b3d:0x73c6dd907b6ebf24!8m2!3d42.3880754!4d-87.9104951
You properly grab a northern pike by squeezing the gills behind the eyes. Obviously, you haven't had much experience with pike. You need a ruler to measure the length. Everything you caught seems way less than 20 inches long.
