A quick midday wade on the Fox River at Buffalo Park

I had a small 3 hour windows to kill on the Fox River before I got to spend some quality time with my family for Mother's day. I decided to break out the waders and hit Buffalo Park on the Fox River in Algonquin, IL.

I do real well down stream by the wing dam. Bottom bouncing big plastics pre spawn. Nice video.

I’ve been fishing there for years and never knew you could walk along the fence of the water plant!!!! Thankyou!! I always fished to cove and past and only caught Dinks. Hopefully this video puts me on to some nice ones!!!!!!

Glad to help! They cleared a lot of the brush and trees recently as part of the plant construction. Looks a lot nicer.

I am pretty sure I found your rusty crawdad crank yesterday around that spot, and even crazier that I found your video with that exact same lure exact same spot, all those trees are gone as of now, what a crazy moment

I’ve always wondered if people find them. I typically lose 1-3 a trip to various snags. I hope it’s still usable and catches you some fish!

Definitely going to be a while before it’s safe to wade there. Perfect for boats right now though!

We used to crush the bass there when the river was high.i still can't believe that's a big water plant.The camping was great there they had non electric sites and electric sites .

Funny enough I almost took my yak out Saturday but got my replacement prop early and decided to hit loon lake. I’ve got a pool 13 tournament next weekend but maybe the weekend after we can
