- Earlier this year the Singer team visited Japan. Together with our friends at Cornes Group we introduced ourselves in Tokyo, drove through the city at night, held a Cars & Culture event at the Daikanyama T-Site and then headed to the extraordinary Magarigawa Club with its private racetrack.

Second that. I guess, a lot of people in the spectrum or who are really obsessed know, that an (good) idea has to be followed, steps to be taken and a goal to be pursuit. And you cannot just stop until you finished it. A curse. A gift.

Chris Harris is my spirit animal...we are the same age and did the same things in cars as kids and I love how he sees the world.

I love everything about the Japanese culture and their strive for perfection in everything that they do from making a sandwich to making a supercar. They strive for perfection in everything in life. That track with the green outlines along the blacktop center looks incredible. That must be one of the best tracks in the world. It's certainly LOOKS to be the best in the world as far as the look and design of the track. And of course, the Singer Porsche's themselves go without saying. Some of the most beautiful automotive art in the world. A match made in heaven.
It goes without saying that, for those who have the means to live their passion, being able to drink their coffee while looking at their 911 Singer before hitting the road for the sheer joy of driving is an indisputable privilege!
Singer and Japan is a match made in heaven. Perfection and attention to details. Singer Porsches are so damn beautiful. Perfection.

Amazing. I remember emailing Singer when they first released their cars just to share my absolute delight at what they had created, and they responded with gratitude. I have followed them ever since and feel very proud of them and for them, and their success. Do be able to pour over details and bring your vision to light is a rare joy!
That track looks awesome. Give me a Nomad 2, to start on that track before heading into the hills…..bliss.

don't worry there are hundreds of thousands Porsches ou there. its not 300, 500 even a thousand if you count every "restomod" companies, that is going to change the Posche ethos

Chris is much like me, shorts and tee shirt everywhere.
It is allways a joy to see Chris Harris. I cannot however understand why Singer altered the body, I mean the 964 is 911 pinnacle design. The interior of singer is however magic. I really think that RUF is a better, more rounded proposition.

Interesting future for sure. 🙏🏽👌🏼 I fantasise about a wide bodied flared arched 928 in the Singer style. And an extreme basic 365/911 mash up with a flat 4 with a moderate performance for its weight. Aimed directly at those who love the looks/handling but just can't afford the mind blistering cost of a full hand build. Please, just for me. 🙏🏽 😁
"run to the hills" and you'll find a crazy racetrack on a mountain top. just mind melting video!! the turbo study on that track is just other worldly. this has got to be as close to the afterlife you can get here on earth. truly one of a kind cars at a one of a kind place. just a staggeringly bueatiful pair of objects!! cheers

Don't get me wrong, Singer cars are a work of art and I'm not surprised about their price tag but to say your work isn't tinged with elitism when they are prices north of a million while being showcaseed in a private race track is a bit ironic
You aren't wrong, you are absolutely right. Maybe singer porsches are beautiful, but they are extremely overpriced for what they offer. What you exactly pay for is exclusivity and scarcity, Nevertheless the entire trend with porsche restomods is elaborate way to cash grab and stroke egos of multimilonaires around a globe who are dumb enough to buy this instead the original 911 930
Why should they make more affordable cars just to get their asses handed to them by big car companies who are much better at doing affordable mass produced cars?

I connect with the comment on the cars connecting to people who cant afford one now but will in the future. Creating something appealing but ultimately obtainable is key. Creating uber-exclusive products for 0.1% isn't a good recipe for having a passionate customer base that champions the product and a market big enough to sustain the developments.

Chris Harris really annoys me. All his videos are 7/6/5 minutes long. You can tell this was an epic trip to Japan where they could of made an hour video with plenty of room to spare. Please start making longer form videos this beautiful...from a very disgruntled viewer😠😤😉

They’ve done 10 videos, one of which is 37 minutes - don’t disagree, but sadly automotive media isn’t always consumer lead.
This isn't a chris harris video. You're watching an advert for singer that they've made to put on their own youtube channel. Singer's business is making and selling cars, not vlogging. You should nomore expect the singer leadership team to vlog their business trips than you would do other small companies like Koenigsegg, Hennesey, Guntherwerks, Morgan or any other small volume car makers. Yes they will do lots of promoting and advertising on social media, but they're car companies. Their job is selling cars, not making money from youtube videos.
Singer doesn't really care if you're a disgruntled viewer who wants them to vlog - singer's business is selling cars. The important people in this are the ones they invited to the event they filmed, which no doubt got them quite a few orders on their books from japanese car collectors. That was their goal. not vlogging.
People need some perspective on what youtube acually is. Making long form content takes expense, time and effort - things they don't want to give above what they already paid to a production company to film this event for them.
@Fr0dders I've watched Chris Harris for over 10 years on UA-cam since he first did The Drive. His videos were always short since then. I'm not focusing on singer videos
I like longer format vids too. Tell the whole story
Love Singer and Rob since he was lead for Catherine Wheel, but talking about high standards and at the same time showing the tach needle center wobbling a bit at 4:26 is ironic.
