Lorna Shore is next level Deathcore. Blasting for the headbang, breakdowns for the fist swinging. Brutally heavy. You need to here the ungodly vocals on ALL of their albums.
You really gotta check out full songs by them. "Immortal" or "Into the Hellfire".
Suggest things other than first singles they’re more interesting from a musician standpoint
TBH And I Return to Nothingness is rather faster. It's an RPG core.

Drummers are often so underappreciated. In this band, everyone fits so perfect together, is super talented and every second of the song is thoughtfull and purposely. I've seen your other reactions to Lorna shore (and Ghostemane, more reactions please!), and i think it's great that you are so openminded to other genres.
I love breakdowns, but I understand what you mean. Sometimes bands do seem like they force them into songs that didn’t really need them. But I think breakdowns are really dope usually
I discovered this band days ago, from what I've heard I'd say they border on black metal most of the time

Lorna Shore to me is the only blackened deathcore band that really knows how to make a black metal sound their guitarist adam de mico is the best songwriter in the whole genre you should listen to the new song to the hellfire with there new vocalist or the whole flesh coffin album thats the album black metal fans should like the most cause it sounds more raw and there 1st vocalist tom barber has the perfect sound for it

I FUCKING HATE deathcore but this band is awesome. The only reason I like them is because of the Black metal influence. You are spot on about your thoughts on breakdowns. These guys are on to something, they are kinda like Fleshgod Ap. By that I mean they are trying new things and it is really cool, like you Boris!!!!

reminds you of Behemoth A LITTLE BIT? lol, this is like someone distilled the entire Evangelion album into a song. King ov Deception sounds as if someone combined Ov Fire and the Void with Lucifer.
Instrumental Lorna Shore is the best way to listen to them. They drown out the instruments to much with vocals in the final mix.

Lorna Shore breakdowns are the best part! So brutal. So amazing. Especial now that Will Ramos is leading the band vocally. Those breakdowns dont feel core at all (even though maybe technically they are - IDK).

Also, a breakdown doesn’t mean that you’re Deathcore it’s a halftime beat that has a shit load of intensity. It gives the songs different moments . Not only that but these bands don’t have a breakdown in every single song, so what does that tell you?

It’s funny, because Deathcore was a genre that was created by the main stream metal genres. When this style of metal came out, they never identified themselves as death corps they consider themselves metal. Lorna Shore legit sounds like a modern day black metal band. It makes me laugh because this guy started getting bothered because of the breakdown. All he wants to hear is blast beats and melody just goes to show you.
