@@Wire_Mesh_Police I’m thinking recording is probably quantized. Just a standard practice now days. But if you hear the live stuff it is pretty spot on. I don’t recall seeing any triggers on the kit. But I know that there are bass triggers that are on the pedals themselves. So I can not say yay or nay.
Austin is a freaking maniac. The technique he uses for the fast kick drum is very impressive. There's no way I can get to that point lol

It's doubles heal to toe. You also play ankle technique. Which people play 260bpm all day long. It's proper technique. Look up drum tech academy. Martyn knows his shit.

I literally cannot figure out his feet and I've been on a set since I was a kid. But his heel toe technique is disgustingly amazing! Now the fact we're all in aww and he looks like he's trying to decide between and tacos or tacos is just frustrating!

It’s really made me rethink how I approach speed on the kick. Just have to get the power with that speed up to par. Lol
@@ThunderRooster I've tried heel toe. And I keep getting cramps in my shin that get my foot stuck lmfao. Idk if it's cause I can't let go of parts of how I played before or am missing part of the technique all together but I really wanna

@@ThunderRooster I'm slowly working into to figuring out the movement and pattern of swivel and trying to keep my foot on the pedal lol
@@williamcunningham1253 that is my problem as well lol I’ve always just used pure leg power. Solid up and down. And I’ve gotten really fast power on my kicks. But there is a threshold I can’t get passed on speed. Manly stamina. I can play to the hellfire for about a minute and a half before my legs get tired and start to not want to respond properly. Lol
yea, some drummers do blast beats with their fingers. I was actually surprised when i saw this. He doesn't do what i call tripple but swivel tech with bass drum.....and i'm not even drummer ;)

Yes I fixed it. But it happens sometimes. I’m recording in an RV. So it’s difficult to get it perfect all the time. Cheers

Yeah I do my reactions in an rv because my wife and I are traveling around the country to find where we want to live and I believe the background noise may have been dinner cooking lol you’re not the first one to bring it up. I’ll get the mic closer to me to eliminate background noise as much as possible.

Meh Meinl are overrated as fuk.
And everybody knows Sabian are waaaay better than any other brand.
They are really good at marketing. And they are good cymbals too. It’s all the same stuff. I play all Zildjian cymbals currently. But I’m working on getting a Paiste set. Sabian are good too. But I’ve been through my Sabian phase lol.

They just give hefty paycheques out to high profile drummers like Thomas lang and Austin.
I feel the same about Zildjian. It's all name brand recognition... in reality they're overpriced pieces of shit. I've had my AAX cymbals for 15 years and not cracked em once.
They sound awesome and pay for themselves.
And I think Paisties are thin pieces of shit too.
