    I'll stand by this statement. You are hands down one of the best on UA-cam. I wish you'd put out more videos. Your engineering capabilities along with pure design skills are fun to watch. Love when I get the notification you've put a new video out!!

    Love all these sick little model engines, if I had the money I would buy everything from that site. The new Toyan V8 and rotary engines look sick, hope to see you make some videos with them when they are released.

      Are they model engines tho? They are just engines. Small. But real engines.

    • @marcustrue1213
      @marcustrue1213 2 роки тому +3

      On the note of the V8 that they make unfortunately it doesn’t rev and quite frankly it sounds like a four-cylinder but on the flipside I guess it is pretty cool for the price considering that most model V-8 engines will set you back just as much if not more than a full size v8

    Great video, such a disappointment they didn’t add a condenser to make this a true points and condenser ignition system though. That CDI killed the deal for me - I was just about to buy one too. A simple magnet on the flywheel and basic coil is all that would be needed. The points and cam to actuate them where already there!

      Do you think this model is too small to use a proper points ignition system? What's the smallest you can make a flywheel/magnet/coil combo that can still generate enough voltage for a spark plug?

    Very good friend! I was surprised by the final power, in addition to a very detailed video.

      Thanks Leandro! It's a DC generator and I don't know its power rating for the moment, but I think it could generate 30 watts (60v, 0.5a). It would need a more powerful engine though.

    Podes calcular la potencia midiendo la caida de tension electrica en el la lamparita y teniendo la resistencia bajo la ley de ohm calculas la potencia disipada a esa tensión, el dynamo varia las rpm y con eso la tension de salida, podrías fabricar un gobernador de Watt con contrapesos y así mantener la frecuencia constante como en un grupo electrógeno

    That was pretty great. Any way they can be put in a triangle belt arrangement so the two belts will drive both items together and not only have one on each? You never know. Doing this could also possibly help with the belts jumping so much. Dang it. Now I want one of those kits so I can find out.

    This is a cool little engine! I don’t know if you’ve ever checked out Dave’s discount motors or O’Neil brothers racing but they have some cool stuff. You can buy a reed case SCZ engine. They make little 2stroke engines that make 9hp! There like $500 on eBay but are no means an eBay engine! There’s a place in the UK that makes insane engines as well up to I think 80cc that make astronomical H.P! But that 9hp scz engine is really potent especially with the correct pipe. Anyway just figured I’d let you know about these few places. You probably know them already? But if you want to make a little rc car or a 5th scale custom build like you do. You’ll be blown away with the cranks, rods & all kinds of other things they have on their sites…👍🏻🏁

    • @davelowets
      @davelowets 2 роки тому

      The voltage means nothing. Any size alternator/generator can be wound for any amount of voltage from 1 volt on up to hundreds or thousands of volts. It's the desired amount of output power in WATTS that's going to tell a person how large of an engine will be required to turn the alternator/generator.
