My favorite part of zombie fiction is the part showing society breaking down and trying to deal with the beginning of it. I love TWD, but it didn’t give us much of that. If they do create a new show, I’d like to see it give the beginning a through treatment.
Fear the Walking Dead was supposed to that lol but failed miserably. Showing the outbreak from start to the collapse of society will cost too much money and we all know AMC won't do that. Only something like HBO would be able to make that possible maybe
@@BARCELONAFANSINCE The Walking Dead was originally supposed to go to HBO. But I think it had something to do with some people not being familiar with the comics
Dairy of the Dead (2007) gives us another brief glimpse. I'd hoped that FTWD would give us a detailed look at the collapse but the nine day time skip in season one short circuited most of it. I'm now hoping for a mini series or feature length film devoted to the subject.
iamlsusam the director for Season 1 of TWD actually wanted to show what happened to Atlanta during the start of the outbreak at the start of season 2 through the eyes of the soldier walker who rick kills in the tank, but he got booted in favour for another director to shoot season 2
Weird to think that in the beginning episode of TWD when Rick and Shane were eating in there cruiser the walker disease had already been going around for months. Military probably had special ops teams dispatched to deal with small outbreaks. Nobody believed the videos of them online until it was too late. Kind of reminds me of the WWZ novel.
Sort of reminds me of Black Summer/Z Nation. The virus had been around for a while already before it went full apocalypse. If you watched Black Summer (spoiler) they live in a closed off area that's meant to be a safe zone and also a quarantine zone for the virus. It takes place before the full apocalypse happened in Z Nation.
Looks like that animals are not affected by the infection. During the show horses, deers and even a tiger are bitten, but you don't see "zombie animals" walking around.
I agree. Looks like some kind of virus similar to rabies with deadly fever that activates an extremely aggressive conduct after death. The main piece of the puzzle missing is how could everyone already be contaminated. The series was enteresting until there was the goal to go to Washington with "Eugene's lie" to search the cure, because the main theme was still the infection. Now is only about survival.
I want to see either another tv series or small web series that revolves around other countries handling the walkers. Especially with nations that have high populations
I’d love to see a spinoff set in a European country, we’ve seen the east coast of the US, then LA and parts of Texas and Mexico. I want one set in France, I’d watch that and I love watching civilization break down. I think that’s why I loved Fear to start with and I wish the Walking Dead did it. I also loved TWD Telltale game because of that and the characters made it so much better.
Kirkman said specifically that the reason they never exactly expained the cause was TWD is in the horror genre and he doesn't want it to cross into Sci-Fri genre. but this is one of the best walking dead videos iv seen on the tubes to date two thumbs up.
Even without explanation it is either Sci - Fi or Supernatural in its cause we just don't know it ; it is there. Kirkman is smart man he knows that leaving viewers in dark is easy thing to do to not upset anyone + to make everyone be able have their own theory that they like / agree with + free marketing as he knows well ppl will always wonder and talk about it and will talk about it; more buzz = more viewership. In reality it wouldn't matter what the cause is; it's only the fact that we're lacking it that makese it interesting. Like they say sometimes less is more. It wouldn't be first time that Kirkman would troll us so ; when he says that it would turn it into Sci - Fi I don't believe it completely; it's just fancy way to not break immersion / fantasy of the story for viewers by telling brutal truth; in fact it's very technical reasoning behind it like I mentioned earlier. But yeah pls Kirkman don't think we're that naive to believe your reasoning. It's way more of effort vs gain factor than that. Also don't tell me you wouldn't be good at Sci - Fi ; you're such a good story maker you could do anything; if you only wanted to ofc. And I am sure you could make things work story wise if you revealed the cause; it's just too scary for you ; coz there is a lot on stake and it would be easy to mess up. But so many viewers are dropping from TWD; maybe that could be the cause; writers don't take risk anymore. They kill Carl yes but that's not kinda risk I'm talking about. Story feels a bit more controlled; contained instead of feeling a bit more adventurious and mysterious as it did in previous seasons. Only reason why most ppl still watch the TWD is because they care about characters they relate to or have empathy for. It's not about story of apocaliptic world in last few seasons; it's about story about those few specific ppl. TWD is fantasy about apocaliptic world because cars can still run on gas; cars are almost always too clean for apocalypse; there is never lack of gas; or lack of repair parts; there is no mechanic skills needed, no water problems despite no maintence; roads also don't apperantly need maintence; there is rarely any untamed high grass there is no winter; walkers are like background noise for most of the time; except when writers want to mix just enough of it so that it can still be labeled as zombie show. And apperantly walkers rarely die out of depleting their internal energy; which I found weird. I love the show but Kirkman saying it that he is not revealing the cause of it to not be Sci - Fi is lightly offensive to me. Because show already is much more than just horror. And yes I know Kirkman is more of TWD comics guy / not the show runner but he obviously approves TWD show the way it is so yeah. I don't think revealing the cause would do harm. I bet my opinion is not popular one but for me It would just make it more real even if he would make reveal but keep focus on Horror right after. They went to that facility that was stuying that "disease"; and they shut it down and turned right back from Science to Horror. It just wasn't done in completion; It's not like Kirkman didn't fancy or flirt with idea. It's just that he himself knows the cause ; but not telling others about it is more profitable in the end so that everyone can make their own story about it. It's business choice. We often see reboots of popular movies that don't really add to previous legacy but rather just happen before old movies or simply poke with ideas but not really put them in effect. Any change of world of certain movie or show is scary thing to do the older the movie or show is. But I would argue that this is why all shows; series; movie triologies die eventually. I bet we won't know what the hell was that helicopter all about that was flying over Rick . It's just illusion to make world big without actually doing anything about it; feel of world without actually having world dynamic as in reality would be. It's disconnect for many viewers who left the series.
My guess, it's like dead space, where the source is some kind of wireless transmission so-to-speak, in the case of dead space it was an alien beacon that affects dead flesh, and commands it to kill.

It wouldn't surprise me if WMD were used in third countries causing fallout. In the short term it harmed the planets ecosystem more. Also Walkers attack wild animals in the show so herds of bison, dear & horses would be devastated.

Interesting Take on TWD thank you . The Narration was Exceptional! It's Interesting maybe The Virus was initially cause by intravenous drug use initially?
I could be wrong, but I believe there was an epidemic happening before people began animating after death. I believe it was something like the flu. Gener says something along the lines of this. And Hershel states that the epidemic took his wife and stepson. Just a theory. Great video! You all are sooo talrnted! Love your work.
Thanks for watching! I think Hershel meant the Wildfire Virus took them either by Bite or they died by other means and reanimated. Jenner never really explained that first 130 days...still plenty of holes. But yes, that is the theory and maybe more clues will eventually be released. I also think that in the 1st episode of FTWD when the school had few students show up because of "the flu"....it's like it is in real world when parents keep their kids home in fear that they will get sick and that is just an ordinary flu at the time or the rumors of the virus. The bleeding eyed walkers we see at the prison did die from some sort of super-flu similar to the Spanish Flu outbreak.
I think the first 130 days marked a dormant stage of the virus, when everyone was infected but asymptomatic both during life & after death i.e. they didn't reanimate. This way it spread silently & globally. The CDC was somehow aware of this & attempting a cure but it triggered or activated at day 130. Perhaps it mutated on contact with a conventional flu strain. This marks the first walkers & day one of the apocalypse. They attempt to contain it but the number of natural deaths accelerated by the chaos & panic collapses society within about a month.
yep and the walkers would have payed for the wall. And even if the walking government would have refused, Trump would have renegotiated the trade treaties and the US would have a better balance of trade with the zombie economy.
Blood exposure never seemed to turn anyone in that show or its spinoff....I.E. They smear blood upon them in both shows to walk amoung the dead. Hell, they even ingest parts of undead brains in Fear The Walking Dead.
The episode "Date of Death" (13th episode of season 2) confirms the year of the outbreak as being 2010, also the year the main series was released. The episode confirms that the first and second seasons of the show happen in 2010, and that the outbreak started in the same year, judging by the dates on the farm graves. This is also the same year in which the outbreak starts in the TV series. - Thanks for watching! (there was also I think a 2014 car in the 2012(storyline year) from the show TWD. I am betting Apple and the car manfu. were sponsors :))
Because the actors in the show are real, the show will probably have an endgame of some sort. Andrew Lincoln and others have said they are discussing it. The comic, may not ever. - Thanks for watching!
@@mathewberger3042 it seems you are asking where to watch what was in this video - but it is only in this video. I made it. You can only find it in this video.
Pretty dang awesome! Before long the way AMC is doing these kind of videos are going to be what we have to watch. TWD show keeps pushing closer and closer to the edge. Soon it will be over. I've been watching some of the short movies here on UA-cam, and their not bad. I hope people keep going with stuff like this and the movies when the show is gone. The world of the apocalypse has so many avenues that have yet to be explored.
I'm about 95% sure that your description of brain damage bringing walkers down is not accurate to the shows description. If I remember correctly it is destruction/severing of to the brain stem/cerebellum that turn the lights out. In fairness, this has not been followed consistently throughout the series.
Daryl can bring one down with a bolt from his crossbow and almost anyone can stab one through the skull from any angle...all of these things damage the brain. - Thanks for watching!
Well the areas of the brain shown to be active after death at the cdc would give us walkers that couldn't smell, see or hear but they do. Cranial nerves are no help if your eyes are rotting and your nose fell off.
Statement in Fear Walking Dead the student Tobis report that 5 states were inflected on the net. The News people were keeping a secret well in that state at least.
"points to something supernatural" umm stem cells can reanimate dead tissue and regrow it as well .. so no that is not "against the laws of physics" btw it wouldnt be "physics" it would be BIOLOGY .. ffs
Not a cure for the dead but a cure for the living - meaning they will not turn when they die if cured. This stops the Zombie Apocalypse once the last zombie is killed - because no one else will turn.
They eventually let us know in the show that he was not bit by a Walker. He was bit by a live boy he was trying to save from the walkers. - Thanks for watching!
This is poignantly well-crafted and very explicative of the apocalyptic circumstances of The Walking Dead. Although there is no accurate explanation of how the consequences came to be there is some tolerance of the human spirit by understanding what humankind must face in order to survive. This is the hopeful message however you choose to accept it.
Dey messed up with they focused on human wars more than the zombies. The zombies are more just a background now I miss s 1-4 if u kno u kno I’m not gonna rant 2nigh

They attempt to contain it but the number of natural deaths accelerated by the chaos & panic collapses society within about a month.
if it took that long to spread and take hold how was it not contained. after 100 days people would have figured out headshots work right.
So many things we just have to overlook I think. - Thanks for watching!
I love Zombie series and film's. Ever played Dying Light? Awesome.
What's the background music called?
Remember folks. This happened on Obama’s watch. Trump would have walled off the city before it happened. Those zombies are some bad hombres lol
good one
yep and the walkers would have payed for the wall. And even if the walking government would have refused, Trump would have renegotiated the trade treaties and the US would have a better balance of trade with the zombie economy.
bigmacattk your just a racist xenophobic feminist bigot! (Sorry I’m the feminist) Go back to Texas you filthy animal!?
0:17 *This would be a good Trailer for the Rick movie*
How did I miss that only 5 days happened between the pilot and the CDC Destruction
Nice video. I think it has something to do with plants & neurotoxins since it spread in an instant ...
Thanks for watching!
Blood exposure never seemed to turn anyone in that show or its spinoff....I.E. They smear blood upon them in both shows to walk amoung the dead. Hell, they even ingest parts of undead brains in Fear The Walking Dead.
I will never recover from Carl's death 😔
2012 not 2010 Fear the walking dead confirmed this because Alicia had and iPhone 4 and it seemed like Christmas 2011 just passed
Great job😀😀😀
Thanks for watching!
Tobias and Nick warned us all!
Something I've wanted to see AMC explore for *AGES* The Complete Apocalypse.
yep
Where is the endgame
Because the actors in the show are real, the show will probably have an endgame of some sort. Andrew Lincoln and others have said they are discussing it. The comic, may not ever. - Thanks for watching!
What was that intro from? I wanna watch it
I made that just for this video
@@TWDExplained can I get the name of your video please
@@mathewberger3042 It's this video I'm commenting on
@@TWDExplained last question where can you find this
@@mathewberger3042 it seems you are asking where to watch what was in this video - but it is only in this video.
The world of
the apocalypse has so many avenues that have yet to be explored.
Thanks for watching!
No problem. I love your work and hope we are here for a long time to come.
Maybe the virus wasn’t reanimating people for a long time and it mutated or gained a gene that made it reanimate the recently deceased.
Where can you watch FWD besides AMC on tv. Links ?
Like the entrance theme 👍👍
Rick never did get to keep his promise to Carl and Sophia about going to thr Grand canyon
Who is the commentator in the beginning?

No....probably bot in either shows or comic. - Thanks for watching!
Statement in Fear Walking Dead the student Tobis report that 5 states were inflected on the net. The News people were keeping a secret well in that state at least.
Awesome video!!!

"points to something supernatural"
umm stem cells can reanimate dead tissue and regrow it as well .. so no that is not "against the laws of physics"

This was awesome ! Who is the female narrator ? She's very good.
Thanks! The female voice is from a voice actor. She is a pro! - Thanks for watching!
More like this to come! Stay tuned!
Everything mentioned in the video is a theory except- the writing team is running out of steam. We're absolutely sure about that.
Imagine some kind of outbreak or a pandemy of some sort happening in 2020...
How can there be a cure there dead bodies walking i dont get it
Not a cure for the dead but a cure for the living - meaning they will not turn when they die if cured. This stops the Zombie Apocalypse once the last zombie is killed - because no one else will turn.
@@TWDExplained ohh ok thanks you love u videos sometimes i dont think.
Jeeesh...."The French", we're doomed for sure!
I dont want much information on how it happened, when, where, what is it. That keeps the mystery in it & suspinc.
What does Jenner say after 63 days?
What about the one dude from ftwd who was bitten but didn't turn??
They eventually let us know in the show that he was not bit by a Walker. He was bit by a live boy he was trying to save from the walkers. - Thanks for watching!

Everyone is born with the brain disease when they die and become as a walker
This is poignantly well-crafted and very explicative of the apocalyptic circumstances of The Walking Dead. Although there is no accurate explanation of how the consequences came to be there is some tolerance of the human spirit by understanding what humankind must face in order to survive. This is the hopeful message however you choose to accept it.

Breaking Bad Crystal Meth.
