- Thanks for watching this short clip on the WNY&P, when the big six motor
Alco's were still running. So crank up the sound, and enjoy the sounds of these old boys at work. Its a shame all this big beauties are gone, and some have already been scraped.
They sure did sound great, and will be missed. The sounds of old-time
railroading at its finest. 50+ year old locomotives, and the sounds of stick rail are getting harder to find everyday.
Please be sure to check out my many other video clips from the 1970's up to today. God Bless.

Looking at the description, The only one that’s getting scrapped is 631. 630 is going to a Museum in Meadville (supposedly), 636 is going to the NYLE, and the rest are already on the DL, rumored to be put into service sometime this year
Great train video. Thanks.Greetings Joe😊
Great stuff, Jack! Thanks for sharing this fabulous record of Alco power!
Wow fantastic blast from the past with this video with that power. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful rest of your day.(Steve)
The sound of those old ALCO machines working hard is prime! Awesome shots!
Sweet grabs, love me some Alcos! (Dave).
Excellent
Hi
I drove lots of alcos on BCRAIL.
Do you remember 706 and 707? We have them on the D-L today and they're both excellent runners.
@@trainman551 yes I drove those on BCRail.
