Old Penn Central locos, EL cabooses, Reading and EL locos Fresh Conrail Blue locos with Penn Central F units.... Geeeeezus... It just doesn't get any better than this...💯💯💯👌
Thanks for posting these videos Jack. Really enjoyed seeing that CN Alco going thru Great Notch. I live in Little Falls and love watching old videos to see what that area looked like years ago, obv much different now with the NJT yard there and all the construction on 46 but that large rock outcropping remains! Please post any other videos you have of freights on the Montclair-Boonton Line, I can't get enough
Awesome video. Hohokus, next town over in Washington Township is where I grew up. I wonder if there's still 4 tracks there. Been decades since I was up to that location.
Great video Jack, please make all you can of this early Colorful & grimy Black Conrail period with all that 1st and 2nd Gen power and a luck catch of that Big CN MLW/Alco ! 👍
Hello again Jack the GOAT! Another great railfanning historical video. Boy, those were the days. My family just moved to Mt. Jackson, PA, a little West of New Castle. I remember my Dad talking about Conrail. He didn't much care for the name. I was in 4th grade at the Mt. Jackson Elementary School of Mohawk. Every time a Conrail train went by, it was like watching a kaleidoscopic circus going in front of you. Did you use to live in Joisy?
Thanks Bruce. Yah, I'm a Joisy boy. LOL. Born in Paterson NJ in 1949. Same town and hospital where Lou Costello (Abbott & Costello) was born and lived, I lived and worked in northern NJ, then moved to SW PA. in 1979 during my over the road driving years for Mobay Chem in Pittsburgh. Been all over the country, and I'm pretty happy were I am. NJ is just way to busy! and taxes are insane.
Good video, how are you my dear, I sent you an email, a favor my dear, could you remove the copyright claim to personally delete your video, an apology for seeing it taken, I put your respective credits, I and my family that we are depending on this channel

The track was good here. No wobbling trains and they were zipping through there, too.
They usually kept the commuter lines in pretty nice shape.

We chased that one up from Croxton, A real treat seeing the big Alco on the point. Thanks for watching.

Nothing but locals on the old DL&W too. DL&W went kaput after CR abandoned the cutoff.
Not much freight on the ex-EL east end under NS. A local here or there if that.
The old Erie Mainline to Ohio and Chicago was to still very busy at this time

Yah. Doing fine. Just taking a break. The weather is nice, and catching up with some work around the house, and some remodeling. Thanks for asking.
@@1jackdkWe were just going to ask this also 😊
Too many fallen flags. Im not sure the mega roads give better service.
