Use a piece of string. When getting ready to put the new connector threw the waist part, tie string to the head, then pull it through. Easier then using pliers.
Just repaired a buzz saw Hordak, took me like 10 minutes. Thanks dude!
Hey buddy, thanks for the video. I have fixed a few of these in my collection and just thought I would give a few pointers. If you boil some water and soak those legs in a cup of water for about 30 seconds. Then you don't have to do as much poking and prodding. Also if you fish a piece of twine behind that piece that it has to go behind. You can make a loop and pull it through. I also found hemostats to be a little bit easier on the rubber. Just thought I would share what I learned by experience. Thanks for the video
I just picked up a large he man collection today and I know I’m gonna need to do this to a bunch
It's tedious, but worth it if you collect and want to display them.
@@BergenPickerscomhi hello there ..I just wanted to ask do you know the size of the chest sticker of the faker motu vintage..I just tried to print a image of that sticker but its just got out printed out too big
I repaired my vintage Stinkor and two Spikor's last week.
The hardest thing is getting the old rubber "mushrooms" from the legs.
I also gave the Stinkors' rubber spike armors a much-needed puff of silicone spray while at it.
TIP: A drop of silicone spray in the leg holes and a little puff on the leg connector itself works wonders and makes the repairing proces so much smoother.
Then when you position the legs on the table, the leg connector will just slide and bend into position inside the "fur shorts", thus eliminating the possibility of tension on the legs when the figure stands.
I can recommend using a hair dryer or hot water and you can heat up the legs and rubber to make the job easier, it's less likely that'll crack the legs and it's so much easier to put together, it can take around 5 minutes if you do it this way
Great tips, thanks!
Great Video! All the comments here were very helpful and I thank you all. I'm going to repair all my wobbly toys this way. Thanks! A+++ Thumbs Up! Shared.
Pair of forceps makes removing the old plastic much easier!
Thanks for the video!
Soak legs in hot water and use a small flathead screwdriver, almost always pop right out.
Warming up the legs will help removing the left over leg connectors. Surgical forceps help alot
Yeah, been using same method since video.
Thankx for the video …helped me out alot
Adding a drop of dish soap might add some lubrication and aid in getting the old rubber pieces out of the leg.
Soak the legs in hot water to soften them up and then used a small screw to pull the broken rubber piece out.
Yep, at the time this video was created I didn’t, but it’s done now
Yep, at the time this video was created I didn’t, but it’s done now
How hot does the water have to be.
Boiling
they are great fixed my son's thunder punch he man
Heat the legs up in hot water to soften them up to take out the old bands and use the needlenose pliers to insert the new bands while the legs are still warm
How that was real
Good. What is that guy site, who sells the connectors
Drop the legs in hot water.. makes the plastic more flexible
Good tip, been doing this since video was published.
I want to get those rubber legs, please tell me how to buy it! Excellent video!
Sorry to say, original person who sold them, no longer does.
So bad! Thanks for the information, take care!
I would imagine that after 36 years the old rubber connectors have frayed. My He-Man has completely detached and he is a project for myself to do.
You have the patience of a saint BTW - had that been me I'd have been swearing like a sailor. And imagine breaking the other side once looped through to the other leg.
need to find out how to tighten vintage non-band figures.. like flying fists heman
Have you repaired a teela figure?
I have
I used the corkscrew on a swiss army knife.
That works as well
Hello!! What’s the site to order the connectors ?
You know where I can find those rubber connectors? I’ve bought some from a German guy but their quality sucks.
eBay would be your best option
Bergen Pickers I bought the one I mentioned on eBay :(
The guy who originally sold them to me burnt me, so I bought from someone else on eBay. I bought in bulk so I haven’t needed to order from him in awhile.
easier to dig out if you let figure soak in warm water for about 10 mins
A little silicone spray might help with pushing the pieces into the legs and will not harm the rubber
I think everyone had a skelator like that lol
lol my Skeletors legs are just waiting to snap they are sooo loose. Might have to do a fix soon
Wouldn't placing the top of the leg into a hot mug of boiling water lelp soften them making them more pliable
Yep, commented earlier. That’s how I’ve been doing it since this video. Shaved off about 5 minutes of plying.
I think the o-ring and eyelets give you nice control over how tight you want the legs to be. Also if you can’t get all the old rubber out, you just drive the eyelet through it.
Lol the way I used repaired them is by driving some small nails (like little spikes) on the top of the legs (by where the old broken rubber band remained) and tighten them with at least two regular rubber bands, and it worked for me!
Lol, things have certainly changed 😂
How much would you charge me to do 2 figures?
Sorry to say we don’t offer this as a service. We simply repair our own figures for resale.
What fix head or change head?
Could have used Hot water to loosen the Hole it’s better if it’s wet !
If you troll toy repair videos I recommend a therapist and strong medications.
What is the rubber thing called and where can I get it
It’s a rubber connector and it used to be available on eBay.
Easier if you used a piece of string to fish it through much easier and faster .
👍

Is it Me or did He put the legs in the wrong place?
Nope, they’re correct.
I am 100% sure you got the legs wrong 😅
@@pawelbrzosko No he put it in right spot, just stretched the new connector to much. He did this the very hard way.
@pawelbrzosko it's definitely 2 left legs
@@BergenPickerscom They look like two left legs
Seriously NEVER again … I just can’t do it to myself
2 left legs!
Nope, one left, one right.
@@BergenPickerscom The right leg has a left leg mould, smartass.
@@GASH_one Satan is for dumb people.
@@hulksmash8159 What are you talking about?
Not the best way. False advertising for the title. Need too heat up existing rubber and get smaller tweezers to remove old rubber. You look like you're struggling..
Pesimo video com esta tarja tanpando tudo
Still loose,too much stretching before
Once the connector cools down it tightens and it’s fine after.
Screws and rubber band be easier ha
