RIP Chris!! One of the worlds greatest singers..
Amen.
Yep... a huge loss.. a phenomenal singer ... 🙏🏽😔
nailed it, one of the best
Absolutely. Even was a good person which is more important. He and Chester Bennington were exposing child trafficking. Most definitely rest in peace to both of those guys. Just in the last few short years we've lost so many artists of all genres. This is a lump in the throat track
3 of the most crazy galaxy brained talented and tragic singers imo...Freddie Mercury, Whitney Houston, Chris Cornell.
Tears in her eyes 11 seconds in? Yeah, that's Chris Cornell.
Cornell didn't even need lyrics to make one cry.
Amen.
I love the look on people's faces when they first hear him sing.
same, it is literally a joy to watch! lol
Yep.
Same!!!
His voice had such power and emotion behind it RIP
Ive watched at least 20 reaction videos to this song for that exact reason
A song written by Prince, made popular by Sinead O’Connor, and performed so vocally and emotionally brilliant by Cornell.
Copy paste like a m*****fu****
This version is superior. I’m old enough to remember Sinead making it famous, but Chris Cornell’s voice is a gut punch.
Chris told Prince that he wanted to do a cover of this song. Prince said that he didn't think Chris had the right voice for the song. LMFAO. Best version ever
@@joeshubin4655 Really. Never heard that before, anything is possible but doesn't sound likely. Chris actually said the first time he performed it was right around Prince's death. "Prince's music is the soundtrack to the soulful and beautiful universe he created, and we have all been privileged to be part of that amazing world. I performed his song 'Nothing Compares 2 U' for the first time a couple months ago. It has a timeless relevance for me and practically everyone I know. Sadly, now his own lyrics in this song could not be more relevant than at this moment, and I sing them now in reverence as I pay tribute to this unequaled artist who has given all of our lives so much inspiration and made the world so much more interesting. We will miss you Prince!!!"
@@frankmarasco6233 Well Frank I think you maybe right. I know I read it somewhere although it was probably someone's comment on UA-cam. But in looking for an article on Google to back me up (nobody wants to be wrong). Anyway I found an interview and it stated that Chris knew that Prince didn't like people recording his music. But he went and did it anyway and he did it 6 months before Prince died.
God dammit I'm still so sad he left us. One of the greatest vocalists in rock history.
If you want to see a video of Chris Cornell singing with Eddie Vedder, the singer of Pearl Jam, check out Hunger Strike by Temple Of The Dog. Chris is one of the greatest singers of our time.
Just required that too. #👍#💯
Imagine if Layne was on that record also
and Say Hello to Heaven
I was gonna say, if you wanna see him go all out, check out Hunger Strike, Rusty Chain, or Cochise
Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Eddie Vedder...otherworldly power to their vocals.
You love Eddie,,, just getting to know Chris,,, you must do Hunger Strike and hear them both at once. It’s brilliant!
Powerful duo right there. Hunger Strike is an amazing song!
As much as I love the Temple of the Dog version with both Cornell and Vedder, Cornell has a studio version (him and a band similar to this) where it’s just him and his scream is insane.
@@jeknechtphotography7106 i can’t believe I’ve never seen it,,,, but I’ll find it!
@@volbeatrules6528 he does like 5 or 6 sogs ... this is Hunger Strike ua-cam.com/video/oWxQJiP8LEo/v-deo.html
@@jeknechtphotography7106 thanks brother!
Having seen this quite a few times, I knew our girl would be touched.
R.I.P Chris
R.I.P. Prince
Temple Of The Dog “Say Hello 2 Heaven” live at Moore Theatre 1990. Greatest Cornell vocal ever.
Scott Jolly I was in Vegas the day he died and got a Say Hello to Heaven tattoo on my arm. Yes. I was hammered
Which basically makes it the greatest vocal ever, period, IMO.
@@flinx1241 Carl Lewis singing the national Anthem always brought tears to my eyes.
@@DWQJVB I feel the same about Roseanne Barr...
@@flinx1241 😂😂
Chris Cornell is a legend! Nobody has a voice like his. He has a voice where right away you know who it is on the first note! RIP Chris
The best vocalist I've ever heard. My absolute favorite. Forever.
I am surprised she doesn’t start crying. This song brings me to my knees every time. RIP Chris!
I’m 42 and these artists voices and music is the soundtrack to my life, thank you for your beautiful reactions, I love watching you fall in love with this music!
Same here Nirvana 7Mary3 Soundgarden Stone Temple Pilots Pearl Jam
Snap
I'm 43 and 90s were my soundtrack also!! I wish so many of these icons wouldn't have passed away!! The 90s were the last great decade for music!!
Most people here are just telling her to listen to the next song, instead of just admiring this one. Brilliant performance, I can hear the sadness on his voice. Depresión is a real thing
Well said they just want to get to the next one!!!
R.I.P. Chris. One of the most talented people ever. Seems all of us that grew up in the 80s 90s. Just have heart, real people. People sang from the heart.
Some artists are just blessed with unworldly talent, Chris Cornell was one of these people.
I am the Highway!!! It’s Audioslave but Chris is on vocals!
Chris was the lead vocalist of Audioslave.
That's what he said
Oh we LOST her to Cornell as well now! LOL. Welcome to the 90's Seattle guys! RIP Chris, you ARE sorely missed, a broken heart thinking of the years and years of listening to Chris Cornell with Soundgarden, Audioslave and solo. :(
Everyone rightfully getting on about Chris' voice, but how about that excellent acoustic guitar solo adding to the feels?
Cello really sets a mood here and was a great choice to round out the song.
Who is the acoustic guitarist playing with Chris . He is great!
He had the voice of an angel. No one can sing this song the way he did. You feel it in your soul.
Once in a lifetime voice!!! We'll never see another. RIP Chris!!
Chris Cornell passed away two days after my dad died. I was jealous of my dad for still being able to hear Chris in Heaven. RIP dad. RIP Chris.
Sorry about your Dad and..... well said!! Their souls are at peace now and take comfort in knowing we'll see them again. :)
You should check out another of his songs - Audioslave 'Like a stone'
I've missed out on so many new songs over the years and recently discovered Like a Stone. I'm addicted.
Great song
Yes!Kick Ass Song!
I Am The Highway
Set it off live in NYC is my favorite!
Sunshower is another good one - Rest in Eternity Chris Cornell
One of his best songs
Cornell was In the Grunge movement. Soundgarden, and later on was on Audioslave..Great voice, and very noticeable
So glad to see a young lady appreciate the icons of my day. You rock
"Fell on back days" great vocal from Chris
It's "Fell on BLACK days"
@@bryanharbadin2887 - Either way, just needs some Black Days.
He has my most favorite voice of all time. His voice is just cerebral. This song and Wild Horses seem to capture his truly unique voice. His death was an incredible loss that I don't think I'll ever quite get over and I didn't even the know the guy.... crazy to think about.
Am i the only one to think how beautiful she looks listening to this song and her so very close to crying her eyes out....looking at her eyes while she is listen's to the songs just makes me melt....who else thinks so
Thanks beautiful song and performance. RIP Chris
Losing Prince and Chris was a huge blow to the music world. Both, Gods in their own right, both, genius, both, have no equal. How lucky we are to be able to witness their absolute domination at the touch of a button.
Even so...I wish they were still here.
Love Chris and love that cover... He was a vocal beast... Rest in Peace bro.
Chris Singing Effortlessly !!!
No one sings like him anymore. From the live album called song songbook, I am a highway or call me a dog!! Just amazing !! You haven't heard the next level Cornell
Yeah he was that good what a voice ! Makes you feel the pain he was going through I miss his voice so much ! Wish he was still with us !
That was my hero. Chris Cornell. Thanks for doing this.
2 of his best songs IMHO are Outshined when he was in Soundgarden band and also Like A Stone when he was in Audioslave......Cochise is also a great song. i have loved this guy since the first time i heard him sing.......so sad he left us way too soon... :'(
I feel like crying every time I watch Chris sing this
This was a walk in the park for him. He was probably using 10% of his ability. Just a stunning vocal talent.
The GOAT RIP CHRIS AND CHESTER
Shiloh, this is the cover version of a song that was a huge hit in the early 1990s, written by Prince (RIP) and performed by Sinead O´Connor. Now that you are familiar with Chris Cornell (RIP), please react to his work with Soundgarden and Audioslave.
I was going to recommend a song by Chris, but literally none are bad lol.
The first released versiion of this was by The Family in 1985. Sinead covered them. Prince did record a version in 1984 but that version wasn't released until 2018.
I think pretty much everyone in the western world knew who Prince was, but I still think he might be history's most underrated musician. Amazing song meets amazing voice...
Thank You for such an honest real reaction. Yea, the world lost a true good guy and seriously talented soul when Chris Passed away. It seems the Greatest Artists carry around the most pain.... RIP Chris. Have a Wonderful Day filled with Peace, Love, Music, Friends and Family!!!!! Be Well!!!!
I feel that Chris and other artists like him have a much higher purpose....Their Souls are only on loan to us.... It's too bad not enough people get/learn the lessons that their lives and songs are sending us! Just my thoughts....Peace :)
@@michaelgilbert197 Absolutely Mike!!!!
Chris Cornell was a gift to humanity. He is and will continue to be missed. Please also do the Sinead O’Connor version. The official video is heart wrenching. Once you’ve done Hinger Strike that is. An amazing piece from his and Eddie Vedder’s group Temple of the Dog.
So glad to see and hear someone so young just discovering how talented the late, great Chris Cornell was. Check out some of his stuff with Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. I first heard Soundgarden way back in 1990 when I was just 17 and became an instant fan of the band. Chris had one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard (and I've been fortunate enough to see live). Your reaction was so touching. You really feel music the way it's meant to be. Brought a tear to the eye of this late 40's guy. Lots of respect to young lady. Enjoy your journey in discovering more songs by Chris if you choose to do so :)
RIP CHRIS CORNELL 🖤 MY FAVE PRINCE COVER. 90s Military Mama
Amazing Vocalist 👏👏👏👏💕💕 R.I.P Chris Cornell 😥
Chris is a freak of nature!!! Nobody sounded like him!!
This cover is beautiful. RIP Chris.
The version that was most popular was by Sinead O'connor. She sang this song perfectly.
He is one of the reasons the 90s was such a special time. Imagine Chris Cornel , Eddie Vedder and Kurt Cobain all creating music at the same time. I appreciate your heartfelt reactions.
Can't forget layne Staley him and cornell were the best singers of the 90s and arguably 2 of the greatest of all time
The Seattle scene gave our generation an identity.
I love seeing the reactions of someone listening to Chris for the first time, then it pains me to remember he no longer is with us 💔. His music will live on as his legacy tho. R.I.P Chris
Best voice in rock, rip brother, you'll feel no more pain xxx
You hear Sinead O'connor's version, but you feel this one.
If it looks right, you'll see it
If it sounds right, you'll hear it
But if it feels right, you'll feel it
In any line of profession in the business world, that's how it's always been in Public Relations.
RIP Chris Cornell. Every time I see this video its like a punch in the gut. I always appreciated his vocals and song writing but for some reason this performance really highlights just how good he was. So beautiful.
That is GRUNGE voice😎....RIP💫💫💫Cornell
RIP Chris 💔😪 he was incredible. This was just another example.
My favorite Chris live vocal of one of his own songs is ‘when I’m down’ live at the Troubadour. It will blow you away.
Chris cornell....sadly missed. RIP
RIP Chris! I miss your Talent so much!
Not many vocalists can make you Feel their emotion while they perform. Now there's something in my eye, I swear 'why I'm shedding tears right now. That's what everyone says now when they hear Chris' Angelic singing voice anymore. Glad I was blessed to see, hear & feel his amazing gift to us all. Rest in Power Chris, and thank you for so much incredible material to listen to & enjoy.
Temple of the Dog - Say Hello 2 Heaven (Live at Moore Theater 1990). Another fantastic performance

ONE OF THE GREATEST Poets Since JIM MORRISON OF THE DOORS:: R.I.P. CHRIS CORNELL You are listening to one of the Grandfathers of 90"s Grunge music
Cornell has such an amazing voice. One of my favourite singers of my generation, tragic to loose him.
Love , love the Prince original , Chris's voice is thick, terrific ... lets face it the sentiment gets each and every one of us, we have all been there ...
Chris Cornell was one of the greatest singers of all time. There are so many songs you can choose to hear his incredible vocal range. One that I think you should check out is “loud love” by Soundgarden.
RIP to 2 of the greatest vocalists
Chris Cornell and Prince
Absolutely incredible the best vocalist hands down ever I miss this guy so much RIP Chris we miss you
What a beautiful voice and human being.
Chris Cornell's Ave Maria is spectacular.
The word Is PASSION and everything Chris did whether solo, sound garden, rage or otherwise, exudes passion. RIP Chris.
RIP Prince and Chris Cornell. What a loss... All these awesome artists, goodbye Dimebag and Vinnie, so long Layne Staley, peace Scott Weiland, the list is endless...
Chris Cornell Legends never die RIP!
You really were one of the Best Chris, Great reaction to an Amazing Artist/Vocalist
I've seen n heard this Sirius clip hundreds times... but every now and then, speck of tears still shyly lingers in the corner of my eyes once he began to sing...
I'm man but not shy to say: i miss Chris Cornell.
RiP
R.I.P Chris! The music world really misses you. Great pic
Im SOOO glad you did this song,,,,,,and I LOVE your Pantera reactions .....hugs
I listen to this daily and miss him so much
There have been a lot of fabulous singers in rock and roll and he's far up the list. I still miss him greatly; RIP.
Chris Cornell, gone way too soon, forever in out hearts and memory.
This was such a beautiful cover. What a talent on many bands. Thanks Shiloh for doing this one. RIP Chris.
Should have heard him in his prime. Saw "soundgarden" his old band in concert. Dude has a super powerful voice. Soul.
My favorite voice, I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live and in small acoustic shows 5 or 6 times, blown away each time R.I.P mr Cornell and thank you for sharing. Lovely reaction :)
one of these guys sitting on stage with guitar and voice and the crowd go nuts...eddie vedder the same ♥️♥️
I was one of the ones to request this, had to make a new account since then, but still one of my favorite reactions you’ve done. I’ve watched this like 20, and the original song brings tears to my eyes, but seeing you react to it brings the tears out even easier. Love you Shiloh
RIP Chris the voice of our lifetime he was amazing could sing in every octave and there's not much else to say
Listen to Chris Cornell in his band Audioslave- Like A Stone
Thanks for your sincere reaction to this amazing performance. He also covered Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". MJ's version was legendary but Chris gives it a whole different vibe. Love to see you react.
Without question, the best rendition of this song,,,,ever!!!!
His voice just chokes you up listening to it... so emotional.
That’s the magic of Chris !!
I’ve been watching reaction videos to some of my favorite songs for years now. I have never seen such an honest reaction as that...That is why I subscribed. Keep it up milady
Chris Cornell sings the song that I want played at my funeral. Say Hello to Heaven.
There will never be another Chris Cornell. Hes one of the few male singers that can hit a high E that even Christina Aguilera had trouble with in her prime.
Love that cello!
So when you hear ppl say my generation had the best music, we actually did
