@@Closer2Zero It is a puzzle game, probably the only type of game that as no replayability, it would be boring for you and him because he already knows the puzzle answers
thought i'd copy and paste tyler's review of the game for those who are curious. as always, *video spoilers below* ElecHead Review, starting with what I liked: - The main mechanics were incredibly rich and expertly fleshed out. There were nearly a hundred unique consequences that stemmed from only two actions, and every consequence had its own level about discovering that interaction and nothing else. - There were TONS of aha moments scattered throughout the game, it is incredibly good at making you feel smart. - Every single level felt fun to solve. None of the solutions felt clunky to execute or overly similar to previous levels. - The difficulty ramp was smooth, starting with enjoyable easy levels and building towards head scratchers. The head scratchers only seemed easy because of how well the early levels trained you. The average time per puzzle was appropriate for puzzles that only required a single revelation to solve. - The platforming was the perfect level of difficulty, easy enough to not be a burden, but tricky enough to justify this being a puzzle platformer in the first place. - The 30 gadgets minigame was a thrilling break from the main game. It tested platforming ability and planning ahead in a different but enjoyable way. - The golden gadgets were incredibly fair to find, I LOVE an organized secret system combined with obvious visual cues for secret rooms. - It is incredibly difficult to design a good level that plays differently when you return to it with new information and abilities. This game succeeded at that on several occasions - the entire backtracking portion was glorious. - The art style was solid and extremely effective at conveying information. - The soundtrack was banging and matched the art style. - The minimalist story built the atmosphere well. - While I didn't find many in my playthrough, there are several well-hidden color palettes that require persistence or extreme thinking outside the box (see the "secret" powering off mechanic) to find. Because they are less fair, I like how optional they are. If you want a true challenge, you might enjoy hunting for those. I don't think I'll do so myself. - This game was exactly as ambitious as it needed to be. It ensured that its ideas were developed to perfection, rather than introducing several ideas that it couldn't execute well. The vast majority of video games are way too ambitious, as they overvalue ideas (which are worth next to nothing alone because every human being has ideas) and undervalue execution. What I didn't like: - The only criticism I can think of is that this game does not stand out on a conceptual level. However, I could argue this about every video game except for maybe 10. A video game does not need to reinvent the wheel to be good, and this game instead perfects a particular niche. Well done. Overall Rating: 10/10 (Flawless)
45:45 I love the subtle hint the game gives of having the dead/deactive elechead being on the edge of the platform to show how the left side is powered and how to solve the room
i have to say men, i absolutely adore the little circle thingy that point to what you are talking about. it can be difficult in puzzle games to fallow since you are also thinking about the solution and there isn't always a cursor. Makes the viewing expirience very pleasent
I wonder if Card Shark is coming to this "whole playthrough in one vid" series. I know Tyler didn't like it all that much, but it was a pleasure to watch, and the game does have a plot, so it would be nice to see it again all in one package
FYI there’s a secret power in the first section of level 6 if you go to the bottom right and hug the wall you fall through the floor, no ending or something but it’s fun!
Incredible, I have followed you for years now and barely missed a video, gave every series a try and stuck with 95% of them, and yet I feel like I've never seen this game. It is crazy how well made it is, I'm glad you remade a video on it !! Thanks for the work, keep puzzle solving :)
A part of me likes seeing these old series get a new breath of life But I also can't help but think of the headspace Tyler was in when he originally recorded some of these
I was like is this a mandela effect, or have i seen this before, then i realised he just edited the videos together, here's to hoping he will do the post game content in toki tori 2 in the future as well, as i've been recently grinding impossible lair, and it reminded me a lot of that playthrough!
A cool small game with few - but clever - mechanics. It also has a secret chamber with another upgrade and several rooms to test it. Thank you for recomendation, I've never hear about this game before you.
gotta say that i never noticed the game aspect ratio being 4:3, i thought the constant fancy animations on the sides was the game but turns out its the editors, very cool!
Tyler im drunk af and i fan of yourm channel for 4 years my only warning is dont become too youtuberish i love your channel because of your style in that you have long takes, ur geniunie personality and play rlly good games please dont fall off
A lot of people ignored or missed the video where he explained about all the megavideos and like all of these now have comments asking and explaining what's going on lol
so i was like " sometime there's got to be a big elevator thing that kills him in the game" right before it happened. i did not expect there to be spikes though.
I'm gonna be honest until I saw that very nice thumbnail I totally thought the robot had the electricity symbol as it's face and the two little lights were goofy buck teeth
hey tyler, just wanted to let you know that the same creator of hexcells deciphering puzzle game last month, I think you might like it (might not be youtube potential however).
Tyler I completely understand this is for algorithm reasons. Ideally it'll be great for you to label "re-edited" or "reupload" in the title, but this will completely make people not click at all, and youtube will think you just uploaded a big dud and kill popularity. I certainly think there are formats other than re-hash that allow you to bring back your past favorite games to the spotlight. Maybe a review video on why you like the game so much? What did you learn from it? I think bringing yourself to the front can help your brand, so that we see how these beloved classics inspire you. Unfortunate to say this, but it's undeniable that fans are having mixed receptions about seeing repost mega-series without any better explanation (other than "I like it re-edited"). This is something you can definitely improve on it and add more original content.
PSA: Yes he has played this before, this is a megavideo of the series with new editing since Tyler wants this game to have more attention!!!
was absolutely gonna say something
thx for clearing it up
Cringe. I'd rather see him play it again from scratch
I thought so, i was like: "wait didn't he already played it ?" ^^

This one is it for me, didn't know about this game!
@@Hlebuw3kwelcome in the club. Still gonna watch these mega videos tho
I wanted to watch this series but am not big on binging old series
This video was perfect for me
can of wormholes would be great, one of the only series I just didn't watch for some reason
I say "Poop? How dare you!" so much and now I remember where it's from
Though I'm not huge on reuploading series, this game deserves an exception. This was one of the Aliensrock elites
I watched this second time with no regret
I feel like the megavideos should have "Megavideo" or something in the titles with the amount of people who get confused lol
