Hell yeah man I love showing real life garage jobs. I’d hit the rust with a die grinder but I’m a perfectionist. Love the video homie
Thanks man! Right on…yeah I love high end work just as much as the next guy but I’ll never forget my beginnings of working on old cars right on the street before I even had a one car garage.
I've been a fan of POR-15 for a long time but about 15 years ago I heard about KBS Coatings. I've been using their products ever since. They are cheaper than POR-15 and IMO a better product all around. 12 years ago I refurbished my car trailer with KBS Coatings. I redid the top and bottom of the all-metal trailer that was 20 years old at that time. 12 Years later the finish still looks great. It's cool that you are experimenting with other products and I hope the longevity is there for you. For me, I've found a product that I will use until someone can prove their product is superior. Keep up the work on the '55. I look forward to its progress in future videos. John
Thank you! Yes, Ive heard of that product but have never tried it. Something else to experiment with now!
Mike, I used the Tractor Supply Majic satin black with hardener on my Gbody radiator support and the bottom side my hood. It's a perfect match to GM black, but way more durable!
Diggin the new logo, and hell yes brother I'd sport that tee shirt!
I was literally looking at that paint today at Tractor Supply. Good to hear its holding up! I’m glad some seem to dig the idea of a shirt. I think it would be cool to make an online store.
Thanks for sharing this. I'm gonna try this on my 76 C3 Vette and the rear of my 59 Apache.
Welcome! I have to get my wife’s c3 going sooner than later
I like the farm implement paint line. I rebuilt a pair of locking hubs and used the red for a little more style. It held up great
I dumped a ton of fuel all over it today and then scrubbed it off, didn’t phase it one bit.
I noticed the nw logo. its nice yes i would buy a T-shirt. thanks for all the help.
Loving the feedback so far. Thank YOU.
That stuff is great for frame and suspension, under car and inside too. Budget friendly to boot!
Im real pleased with how hard it seems. Im thinking of spraying it in the “low gloss” finish under the hood, firewall and inner fenders etc…
@intheshoptv who's harder on their equipment than a farmer?! 😆 stuff is great for an at home budget build. When I was "restoring" cars, we used it a lot when customers just wanted a nice driver
I just ordered some Ford Red tractor paint for my '88 Honda. The paint is a mess, and MAACO wanted way more than the car is worth. Time to experiment. I found this video very helpful.
I'm going to try Penetrol instead of mineral spirits.
Penetrol is good stuff! Dry time might be a little longer? But should flow out nicely. Would you report back and let us know how it worked out? Good luck!
I will keep you posted.
@@intheshoptv Well it turns out the paint, Penetrol and even mineral spirits are banned in California! Ordered all the supplies and the orders were cancelled. 😡
@@EdKrebs-jb7vo I try not to opine on things that are sensitive topics like regional restrictions and such, but in this case, I cant help myself - thats ridiculous
Hey bud. The logo looks good.👍🏼 Sale it! I’m buying.
Thank you sir!
I like the new logo and would buy your merch
Awesome! Im hoping some people are into it… I want then too lol
Logo and shirts 👍
Thank you. I like that C3!
Yes, I like the logo and I will buy a shirt or hat!!!
Thank you! Think Im going to go ahead and get started on that! (I want some too lol)
Very nice.....
Thanks! Hope you subbed, would love to have a painter on board!
I never seen acetone used to thin. I always use mineral spirits to thin oil based paint. There is also i product I use it’s called Japan dryer. It makes the paint dry in way less time. That might be something you want to check out. I buy mine ace hardware. I have never seen it before and I don’t know anyone who uses it besides me. I add a cap full to a once mix up. So a bottle let me years. Hope this helps.
Yep. I know all about Japan dryer… its good stuff. Yeah, Rustoleum even recommends using acetone. I think it would be great if sprayed, but it flashed too soon for a brush finish.
I definitely doing this, i am like you bro i use my rig ( off road ) i want something that can handle the abuse the best way possible, like you said in the beginning of the video is a frame.
Its definitely a good product. Best of luck and thanks for watching!
I'd buy a shirt, new logo looks great.
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
Hoodie and a hat for me please!
Cool! Id like to design a hat with the logo on a patch too
The logo is hot! Im down for a girl hoodie!
Would never leave the ladies out!
