Yeah, there was a fake Kraid and the real Kraid in the NES game, but judging by "Kraid's" gigantic form, I feel like maybe the mini Kraid was actually Kraid lol.

these developers were so much more limited compared with what they got to work with now. and yet these old games are so much more original and fun to play. if i was gonna be stranded on a desert izland im gonna be needing my snes genesis or ps1 with me
Its not that its funny, I just find it interesting that the darker Samus's armor gets the more powerful she becomes. When you go from Normal to Varia which is Yellow to Orange, you take less damage & can take heat. Once you get go from Varia to Gravity which is Orange to Purple or Pink, again you take a lot less damage & you are water resistant, & can take the less hot acid!

I was just simply pointing out the fact of the pallet swap colors of the SNES in Super Metroid when Samus gets an upgrade in her armor. That just a light flashes and Samus changes color and gets more powerful, that’s all.

Kraid is the first boss you face that counts towards Tourian Entry, the rest can hypothetically be skipped (and actually are skippable with either frame perfect inputs or mockball), and with first fight Ridley, the outcome of the fight doesn't matter, so most will choose to lose to save time.
