You can't just be overpowered all the time, but a new sense of being really powerful again and having drawbacks in the story would have been great. The first door being blown up by the omega beam is a very clever and very subtle way of knowing what steps you need to take. Obviously WE know how to do that, but conveying that to someone who's not really played video games? Pretty cool!! One of the many reasons that Metroid games are super awesome.
The key to learning how to anticipate each and every bosses attack is to look for the animation a boss has just before an attack. Each and every animation is unique before the boss attacks, thus once you study them you will be able to tell each and every time what move they are about to use & can react accordingly. These boss rush vids are fantastic for studying these tells. Some of the differences are major, some are more subtle. For instance, the final boss has two unique parry type attacks aka the ones where he charges in at you. For his single charging gut punch, he brings his left arm backwards before charging in. This move is actually Parryable for extra damage & health/missile drops. For his triple charging swipe combo, he brings his left arm forward before charging in. It's a subtle difference but one you can pick up on pretty easily. Just remember, arm behind, you can parry it. Arm in front, you can't & need to jump/flash shift out of the way. Another easier to spot example is the very first real boss. It coils/shakes it's tail sideways when it's about to swipe it at you, and brings it straight back when it's about to try to strike straight from above. Just pay attention to the Tail animation & you'll always know what attack it's about to do. Each boss telegraphs each and every one of their moves like this, so with study & practice you can should be able to do what BeardBear does here as well. EDIT - It's also worth noting that to get the hidden quicktime cutscene type event for each boss where you do a ton of extra damage, you need to not only Parry at the right time (during the flash) but start shooting them immediately after. If you just Parry & don't shoot immediately after then it won't activate. Most probably already know this but thought I'd mention it for those who might not. Also, it can be easier to parry some bosses during that moment when doing a moving parry vs just a stationary one. This is especially true for the final boss.
I can’t be the only one who is understandably pissed that Samus, donning the Gravity Suit, didn’t jump in the lava after Z-57, hit the Core-X up with a Missile, then jump out, and get it to follow her so she could destroy it and get the ability it had?
This is pretty damn good with the set of skills you have with all the bosses. Very nice. I stopped playing the game because I got lost after I got the Grapple Beam 🤷♂️. Lol. Might restart the game tho.

@@juanse985 I would not be opposed to either of those. ZM and SR are excellent remakes, and Mercury Steam's environment designs are downright stunning.

@@robertkenny1201I don’t think so. Ridley specifically is significant to Samus since as a child, she witnessed Ridley murdering her mother-who saved Samus from him at the last moment-in cold blood. 28:17 that lined up so well
Raven Beak ripping off his leftover wing after he loses the first one is still metal as fuck.
I don't know why people complain about the QTE's. I wouldn't say they're standard QTE's. They're rewards to do massive damage when you nail small time frame of the parry
The Omega Cannon and Stream. Can't believe they're only used once after you finish off the E.M.M.I.
You can't just be overpowered all the time, but a new sense of being really powerful again and having drawbacks in the story would have been great. Maybe too deep for Metroid, as we have already a lot of lore. Then again, the brains with unique energy were repetitives but E.M.M.I weren't, with different room layout, their speed and different abilities. It really felt different.
There’s a mod where you can take them outside of the EMMI zones, and it makes quick work of some of the other bosses.
That was a Boss Rush of quality, perfect. I have a question, is in the game more than one ending? Including on Hard Mode?
People checked . Unfortunately it seems to have the same ending regardless of how you did. I think that's the only letdown this game has
@@LucinaMarthLowell there are different artworks of the 2d saga (and Other M) that you can get, depending of the time on completing the game and if you´re playing normal or hard mode
All endings are the same (the shot of Samus in her blue suit looking at the player dramatically) but there’s different art unlockables. In each difficulty, there’s one for +8 hour clear time, one for sub 8, and one for sub 4
I salaam at your incredible skills! Thanks for the video - this really helped me improve my own strategies. And to think, I never even thought about grappling that shield from the Elite Chozo soldier!
I can't be certain as there's no subtitles, but at the end it sounds like Raven-Kraid X is saying "power is everything" in Chozo. Similar to how Quiet Robe X repeated the last thing Quiet Robe said before he died.
You're right, he is saying that.
"Hadar... sen olmen." (Power... is everything.)
Did I hear Samus scream like a Super Saiyan?
More like, she screeched like a Super Metroid. 😆
AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhuhhhhhhh
😆your question made sense. It reminded me of Dragon Ball.
@@Patricio4Christ
Considering that the man behind the Dragon Ball series is Akira *TORI* -yama ("Tori" means "bird", and in the earliest manga issues of "Dr. Slump", his author avatar was of a bird), and Samus herself was raised by Bird People, a.k.a. the Chozo, I'd say that there are slight similarities. 😆
Samus Aran turns into Doom Slayer Mode
Rip and Tear until it is done.
*Doom Slayer theme plays in the background
More like X-Slayer Mode.
Thanks, IOU1! 15:54 😊

I love how samus just goes full
"FUCK THE HAND CANNON I WILL RIP YOUR FACE WITH MY HAND"
こういうの戦闘中見せてくれなかった技見れるから、マジ助かる。
そしてサムス姉さんめっちゃ格好良い。
Man, I’m having issues just getting to the first central unit, and here is you, making it all look like a park walk XD
I like how the first fight with a Chozo warrior was like: oh crap, a actual warrior! then it’s like: oh it’s also an X
This game is no joke! Tough as nails
Makes me laugh when Samus stares at Drogyga when defeated like that boss is useless.
Storm Missle saved me almost all times from those chozo guards
It's nice to see a classic metroid boss return. Kraid was always the giant of the metroid series but I wish Ridley was a boss in the game :/
6:35 You guys talk about Kraid, but can we talk about the disrespect she gave Corpius?
Dude, great gameplay :)
I just realized, when you're fighting Raven Beak X he says "power is everything" in a distorted version of the chozo language, similar to how Quiet Robe X says "I am counting on you"
Wow this awesome! keep up the great content!
God Almighty, I've been fighting those baby Fulgores all wrong.
was really hoping to keep the metroid suit on the 2nd runthrough
same.
38:14 Samus be like "Oh you're totally not getting a Father's Day gift!"
Maybe they would make a metroid fusion remastered version 🤔
after a remake of Super Metroid
@@juanse985 I would not be opposed to either of those. ZM and SR are excellent remakes, and Mercury Steam's environment designs are downright stunning.
@@AzureMoebius22 what´re you talking about? when did you read that I don´t like the first 2 remakes?
@@juanse985 it’s called zero mission
Raven Beak's arm cannon is legit the size of Samus. Damn.
this is too insane to watch, bro just be samus, like the movement like so FIREEEE
Seriously, I'm so impressive to see, how people can beat the bosses without any damage, more in Dread mode, when I played that mode, I pass it in 1 week.
You killed my father!
I am your Father!
Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
God the amount of Star Wars jokes that are gonna come out from the fans.
7:35 how are your shooting so fast? Do you just have a really fast trigger finger or something?
yes
Button spamming
*X-infected Bosses*
22:38 Escue
25:25 Experiment No. Z-57
29:50 Golzuna
44:08 Raven Beak-X
No damage run or bust! :P
Great video! Might need to refer to this on my Hard Mode run (starts now).
You know, i seriously thought ridley would be back
It's possible there are other members of his race left in the universe.
@@robertkenny1201I don’t think so. Ridley specifically is significant to Samus since as a child, she witnessed Ridley murdering her mother-who saved Samus from him at the last moment-in cold blood. Ridley also commanded the army of Space Pirates during the massacre of her home planet, K2L. Her father died from deliberately detonating the Space Pirates’ valuable cargo.
Simply put: Ridley himself is so significant to Samus since he is the monster who took everything from her.
I loved this game (even though I'm stuck on the final boss) it's really good
Watching ur gameplay helped me alot thank u
Kids that played Metroid understood that we did not need to be bombarded with "Samus is woman". We knew and that was all. This gaming series never disappoints.
This is the sort of representation we need rn. Media that SHOWS us that Samus is more than capable of doing anything a man could do instead of just forcing words down our ears with nothing to show for it. If a piece of media actually cares about the demographic it's depicting rather than pandering to the masses, this is the route they'll go for
If you Beam Spam him on the counters enough you can skip the Golden Armor Phase.
Hum.. isn't that's the way you're supposed to pass it ? Or does it do after a while ?
I usually see him do that after the counter from the shockwave once his shield is 'charged' from your firepower. I skip that by countering a punch before forcing the shockwave counter. Never see 'gold shield' anymore
... So I fought Golzuna early without Gravity Suit? ...Interesting
After beating the game it is really satisfying to see you to take no damage from Raven Beak and beating his ass
Now that Dread Mode exists, I can proudly say that I beat every single boss without getting hit....I lost my sanity while fighting Raven Beak
experiment z-57 and raven beak may two of my new favorite bosses, ever
Kraid, the Central Units, and Raven Beak are mine.
I've finished the game twice And my worst enemy always remains the same, the damn purple E.M.M.I.
Purple what?😅 I'm here cuz I'm debating on if I should buy this or splatoon 3.
Dread is better
Awesome job!
Bro got so lucky with the Golzuna patterns. I swear the other Cross Bomb pattern is genuinely undodgeable
Samus:"Let`s spam missils !"
Boss:"OH NO!HELP ME!"
