You know you're in for a ride if the first enemy you encounter is a boss

@@yaboyreege7158 I know, but I was 8 or 9 when I first saw it and for a couple of months I LITERALLY hid in the hallway and covered my ears whenever it popped up.
Fun fact: this Ridley’s roars are from Showa anguirus’s roars but it’s vocals are different so it’s lower tone, more softer and is more echoey
I liked that detail cause I'm a huge Godzilla nerd

And Phantoon's noise might be Titanosaurus
And crocomire Sound Like Titanosaurus

there's actually a way to cheese draygon really hard by letting it grab you and then grappling to the electric part in the wall

@Torpid Pegasus no you can do the first fight withought damage. Im 100 percent sure of that. Ridleys health during that fight is 254 or something. If you get him to zero he drops it repicks it up then leaves as intended. Its scripted to lose the metroid no matter what but not to take damage. The only scripted damage is mother brain.
Edit: I know this for a fact as i also beat ridley on ceres statiom. Not with no damage but they did the same.

This game was ahead of its time by like 25 years. Imagine if this was remade today? Not remastered but remade. The graphics and the way the bosses die was state of the art.

I mean you have to get damaged to progress in that boss, since you can't kill Ridley in that encounter

I was always thrown off the way crocomire burned alive and then suddenly comes from the opposite side of the map when I was a kid, I then realized he walked under the floor to that side
Bold move fighting Draygon without using the Grappling Hook trick
If you use the grappling hook on the electric wires by the right wall after being grabbed by the boss, it's defeated immediately.

For a menacing Alien Space Pterodactyl he sure is easy, he could at least be a challenge, nothing can beat Metroid 1 Ridley in challenge as in none, when Kraid is more of a hassle than the poster boy of the Metroid series.
I mean what do you expect, He is a malnutritioned dragon, so skinny he had to eat an air conditioner to keep himself cool

You actually can beat him at the beginning, but he'll just loose grip of the metroid for a moment before running away

The Boss music was playing but I added it in because of how Samus's Baby Metroid has grown.

A shortcut For draygon is if you shoot those things on the sides so the electricity is exposed let her pick you up equip your grappling hook and while she is flinging you hook on to one of those and she'll be dead pretty quickly

This guy makes fighting Ridley look easy. I've died three times on that bastard. I'm trying to mimic the strategy he used in his gameplay but I swear Ridley's patterns differ. Or maybe I just suck lol.
He seems to have the trickiest pattern. I have no trouble on normal runs. But when I did a speed run, Ridley killed me about three times. When you don't grab all the extra tanks and missiles, Mother Brain is easier to kill than Ridley.
Ridley is the final boss before go mode, so yeah, he's rough. Even years later, he's either got me or almost got me before. Keep at it!
Draygon was harder tbh you can just pump Ridley full of missiles

Crocomire actually doesn't become hostile until you attack it. It just kind of yells at you.

I panicked when the skeleton popped out. I don't think I had much energy left, so I was relieved that it was a fakeout.

I played this mother brain is so insane in the rainbow light no avoidance
Once i use the screw attack to get behind her head before she fired it but it came out the back of her head and dragged me across the floor and pinned me against the wall.
Nintendo should make a remake of this game...

My fastest was 1 hour 55 minutes, but that was in my prime. I'd had to really work it to even be that good again.

I just watched the water monster get beat up by the electric on the wall if you use the grapple hook while you are caught by it. Instant ko....I can't believe after all these years this game still have hidden stuff
This game is just something completely different the little Boss at the beginning literally losses his head part way through and Crocamire’s skin burns off whilst being alive
also i just noticed you OPEN A HOLE IN DRAYGON'S BELLY when you defeat him... knowing this now really makes me shiver
14:30 Boss Draygon is easy to kill using the electrical spot on the top right side. Just let him grab you and use your electrical claw to connect with the spot

NGL, this makes me glad it's a teen and up game and not something for a Little Nintendo enjoyer. Cause this game is terrifying. I'm in my teens and it still terrifies me, like. 💀 Either way, this game was still fun.

You really don't defeat him since he gets away even though you hit him enough times, it's more of a tutorial boss without it telling you how to beat it, Spore Spawn is the first proper boss.

during the Motherbrain second fight you can't avoid that since it's mandatory due to her being invincible during the final battle so I did that to make the fight go a bit faster, the tutorial fight isn't much of a boss since Ridley runs away eventually.

Do your best this game can be tricky to get all the optional items Missile/Super Missile Tanks etc, look up a guide if you need to find them if you struggle.

At 15:00 Boss, I had no idea you could missile those little green ball emitters. This makes an impossible boss much easier.
To make this battle even easier. When the boss at 15:00 tries to grab you ,Use the grappling hook once you destroy the green ball emitters . This will result in the boss being electrocuted
